It had been a long time since Percy had seen the surface world.
He hadn't seen the sun since he'd been banished to Tartarus for a made-up crime. That had been 10 years ago.
Tartarus, he had to admit had been a blessing in disguise, his body was a lot stronger from having weathered it's hell like conditions. Being stuck in such a dark world didn't leave him with a lot to do, but that was ok for him. With his only focus being revenge this 'prison' provided little in the way of distractions.
Well aside from his allies.
He'd never have met his co-conspirators without his imprisonment. It made him smile who'd have thought that having all the enemies of the gods being banished to the same place could be problematic.
Walking into Nyx's abode stove away the chill that had been in the air.
"Percy you're back", Nyx smiled.
"Yep".
He smiled back glad to see her. Her black gown shimmered, and it always made him stare, being slightly enamoured as it moved and shifted, seeming weightless. He figured that was apart of her power, one she liked to use to make fun of him, every now and again.
"I see your dress is flawless today. A source of distraction as usual".
She laughed, her warm voice filling the room.
"I see you got what you wanted", she commented looking him over, he looked different. His eyes were a darker blue and his hair was also a darker brown. His features had all been slightly shifted.
"Chaos was more than happy to oblige; you think it's a big enough change?".
"You don't look like yourself at all", she smiled.
"You still knew it was me though", he pointed out.
She laughed, "Percy you might as well be my son, you think I don't know how you walk or speak, or smell".
He rolled his eyes, "Smell might be going too far Nyx".
"Your siblings are back from their hunt. I haven't heard from the girls though. Should they be coming to the meeting room upon their return or are we waiting longer?".
"That's undecided, we need some more information, it's soon though", he assured her, then he grinned, "Chaos was pretty clear on that".
He followed her down the hall to the meeting room.
It was a simple four walled room with nothing grand or impressive looking, the walls were a bleak brown, well looking aside from the black gleaming table that was centred in the middle.
"Don't get too full of yourself Percy, You're still a half-blood".
He rolled his eyes, "Hmm I think Chaos would disagree, he blessed me".
Nyx nodded pleased, "Good, you deserve nothing less after everything they did".
"Eris is coming back from her little spying operation, tonight right?".
Before she could reply the door to the meeting room opened. A grinning Eris walked inside. As per usual she wore a simple grey dress. Percy found it amusing to think she looked almost innocent like that. It was the shadows that floated around her arms that made her deadly.
"Speak of the devil", Percy smiled embracing her.
"I've got good news. Whatever you said to Chaos swayed him. All of us were able to step onto Earth. The Olympians restraints didn't hold us back".
Nyx looked at Percy, her black hair whipping over her shoulder, "Is it permanent?".
Percy sighed and shook his head, "No, infiltrating the Olympians is still essential. However, I can go as I please between now".
Eris scowled, "That's not very fair".
"Life's not fair", Percy shrugged.
Nyx gave him a pointed look, "I'm pretty sure he would if he could. He's doing whatever he can though, he's done with their excuses, he just needs a helping hand to enforce it, and that will be us".
"We've managed for 500 years, we can manage for a few more months, right sister?".
Eris turned to see Nemesis walk out of the shadows. Her blond hair tied up in a tight bun, just like her warrior spirit her clothes reflected that. She wore primarily black armour with silver embellishments. She smiled glad to see her sister.
"Have you heard the good news?".
"What?", Percy inquired.
Nemesis grinned, "It's Zeus, he's sick".
"Sick?", Nyx echoed surprised.
Eris scowled at her childishly, "That was my news".
Percy stepped between them to prevent an argument, "So you heard this to?".
Eris nodded, "Yeah".
"It seems Chaos was right, revenge would be soon indeed, no doubt he had a hand in this", Nyx commented gleefully.
"Well, I guess I now understand what this is for", Percy said pulling out a vial.
"You think it's a cure?".
Percy nodded, "He said it was the answer to their greatest problem. I think a sick immortal suffices".
"So what's the plan then? We cure him, we should just let him suffer".
"No, we'll use it to gain their trust so I can infiltrate the camp and steal the key to Tartarus", Percy explained.
"I thought the key could only be used by Poseidon, Hades and Zeus?", Eris asked confused.
Percy chuckled.
"True, but that's my problem, no doubt with a war I can find a reason. I mean they still want very much to kill Percy Jackson. I don't see why they wouldn't send a team to kill him if they think he's the architect of this war".
"Smart, they'll never suspect that they'll be doing the work for us".
"How are you going to convince them that it's you, causing this though?", Nemesis asked curious.
"Well I guess one of you lot will get to play damsel in distress and blab about it when your prisoner".
The two sisters' grins soured at that, neither of them feeling particularly suited to that kind of role.
"One of the boys can do it. It's their turn to do something useful", Nemesis disagreed serving up her brothers as the alternative options.
Percy rolled his eyes, "I'm sure one of them will manage".
"Well this seems like a solid plan. When do you want to", Nyx asked her black eyes gleaming.
"Is now a good time", Percy asked with an evil grin, "I'm sure you don't need me to brief the rest of them".
"It's perfect", she answered, her features mirroring his own.
Both of her daughters wore similar grins, both eager to cause some destruction.
"Well then, say hello to Jake Chaos", Percy grinned.
