(A/N) Hey guys, sorry for the long wait. And this chapter, won't be as long as my other chapters. Recently, I've been busy. Sorry bout that. I do try to write when I can.
I really appreciate the reviews, they made me find opportunities to write more since there are those waiting for the next chapter. I originally planned on ending the arc with this chapter but I was long overdue and I wanted to update what I had so I can reassure those that were thinking that this story is dead lol.
Again, thanks for reviewing. Please review and enjoy this short chapter.
LINE BREAK
"Took you long enough." Percy rolled his eyes at the cloaked figure that just arrived in front of the empire state building.
He was leaning against the wall near the guard. This Percy was the Percy who went to the roman counterpart of Camp Half-blood, Camp Jupiter. Eterna, his symbol of power, was still in the form of a hair-tie, holding his long hair into a ponytail and showcasing his aristocratic features even more.
The cloaked figure removed the hood and revealed another Percy, the Percy who went to Camp Half-blood. He grinned at his other self, "Thought I stood you up?"
The other Percy pouted, "I was just about to ask for the bill."
The two Percy stared at each other, before laughing. Since the two shared only one consciousness and had the memories and feelings of each other, Percy just did it for his own sick amusement. The Greek Percy walked straight towards the roman Percy, morphing back into one.
The oppressive aura his two selves had combined into an even more oppressive aura as he was finally his complete self once again.
Percy let out a small smile of amusement at himself, "Though literally talking to myself was fun, experiencing and processing two different lives at the same time is something I will definitely NOT do ever again." He said, shaking his head.
"Um, Lord Perseus, are you alright?" A voice broke Percy from his idiotic ramblings.
Realizing that the guard, Mike, was watching his whole act, Percy stuttered a reply while his face flushed red in regret and embarrassment, "Forget about what happened, Mike." His blush reddened further as he read Mike's thoughts which consisted of admiration of his appearance and power, nervousness for his mental state, and fear for what an insane god might do to him.
Percy sighed, "Mike-" He tried to explain himself but Mike didn't give him a chance, instead slamming the button that changed the elevator from mundane to magical then ran off the streets in fear. Percy winced as he watched the guard run like his life depended on it.
Great. Just great. He thought, walking towards the elevator.
After enduring a minute of listening to crappy elevator music, Percy promised to himself to beat Apollo up. Surely, it wouldn't have been a chore to give the elevator some decent tunes instead of the repetitive music playing. But knowing the sun god's laziness, Percy figured it was a lost cause.
Soon enough, the elevator doors opened, and he was greeted with the sight of the majestic Olympus. Truly, he was impressed with the architecture and design of the place. Percy also noticed the new addition to the place. Above Olympus was a floating island with it's own palace on top of it. The island was connected to the island of Olympus with giant metal chains that he guessed, must have been built by Hephaestus.
That must be Asgard. Percy thought, stopping to look at the home of the Norse Pantheon. It was as beautiful as Olympus, though the design was different. Olympus mainly consisted of quartz and marble, taking on a pure and pristine appearance. Meanwhile, Asgard used stone and metal, its main color being metallic bronze.
When he was satisfied, Percy continued to walk towards the familiar aura's he felt, located in the garden of Demeter. It didn't take long to see a sight that almost made him cry in relief. In the middle of the garden was a fountain and nearby tables around it. On one of the tables, his four god friends were sat. Hermes was sleeping on top of the table. Loki was reading a tome as always, oblivious to the loud argument Apollo and Thor was having as they tried to outsmart each other in a game of chess.
"Give it up, Thor. We may both be idiots compared to this prat here, but I am the smarter idiot of us two." Apollo laughed mockingly behind his cards.
"Yeah, stop prolonging your inevitable defeat and make a move." Thor growled.
There they were: the two Norse gods Percy worried about these past months. They ventured towards their homeland to fight an unknown enemy. He always dreaded the constant possibility that haunted him. That one of them, or even the both, won't return. The enemies of the gods have gained a way to slay immortals and a god dying is no longer such a strange happening.
"Ready to go to that place down Manhattan?" Percy began.
Immediately, the four gods stopped what they were doing at the sound of the familiar voice. Hermes let out a joyous shout as he lunged towards Percy, hugging him. Thor and Apollo stood up to give their hugs next while Loki gave him a smile and a nod.
"What took you so long?" Loki complained, though Percy could clearly see the happiness in the trickster god's eyes at the seeing him.
"Perce you were totally awesome!" Apollo yelled, "Damn it, now I'd have to up my game. You just crushed the head of Hyperion with your hand. You have inspired me so much so that after this war is done, I shall make a sculpture of that very scene and make a ballad!"
"Please don't." Percy begged but Apollo remained starry-eyed, not hearing his request.
"What is this crush a head that you speak of?" Thor asked Apollo who immediately launched into an exaggerated narration of what happened. Percy swore he never spoke some of the things Apollo claims he said but Thor was already immersed by the story that he too wasn't listening to Percy.
"Thank you for gathering our kids, by the way." Hermes squeezed Percy's shoulder, "And for convincing Luke to change his destiny. I wanted to do it myself, but the ancient law is holding me back."
"No worries, I know you wanted to. But really, you guys must stop being irresponsible parents. I really wanted to blast Olympus when I learned of your demigod children's conditions."
Hermes grimaced, "Indeed. When you fixed the problems in both camps, father and the rest of the Olympians were stumped. He could not believe that just by giving the minor gods some face, half the army of the enemy would join ours. You have shown us a better path to follow, Perseus. Well done."
"Now that everyone's here, let's go at that place you mentioned before, Hermes." Loki suggested. "We still have time before the war meeting in Olympus."
"Let's go." Hermes and Percy quickly nodded their head in excitement. Percy ignored the two idiots that looked at him with worship.
The five young gods conversed and exchanged stories about the past months on the way to their destination, with Hermes on the lead. Turns out, not only the Greek enemies received access of the god slaying metal but so did the Norse enemies.
Thor and Loki arrived in Asgard and were surprised to see their city under siege, the enemy being led by Loki's creation or children that were prophesied to be the one to slay the gods of Asgard. Many great warriors of Asgard fell before Thor and Loki arrived and if the two were a bit too late, then they would have found their pantheon killed and Asgard in ruins.
Luckily, that was not the case. Since the two were now in the same power level as their father, Odin, the duo made short work of the army. Though it pained Loki to kill his own creations, his children, he can also see that they were a lost cause and were too far down the route of evil to be saved. And so, with a heavy heart, Loki helped Thor in the slaying of his children.
When they finished the army and Thor reunited with his lover, Freya, who thankfully was left unharmed, they immediately started moving Asgard back to the main universe next to Mt. Olympus. As soon as everyone in the Norse realm was out, Thor collapsed the pocket universe they called home for millennia.
"How about you, Perce?" Thor asked with a grin after he finished his story. "I heard the gist from Apollo a while ago, but I think it'd be interesting to hear it out from you."
Percy groaned, "What you heard from Apollo was highly exaggerated. I can never speak what he said to an enemy, that was so lame."
Apollo frowned, "What? My embellishments were not lame."
"Guys…" Hermes said, catching the attention of others. "The bar is closed."
"Aw." The four other gods moaned.
"No matter, why don't we go there instead?" Loki pointed to the bowling alley across the street they were on.
The others shrugged.
"Well, anywhere with you guys is fun for me." Percy blurted out as a matter of fact.
The four looked at him strangely.
"Stop being soft on us, Perce." Apollo mocked, "We might just fall for you."
Percy punched Apollo lightly at the statement and judging from Apollo's face, a light punch from Percy sucked.
They quickly made their way to the bowling alley, being pleased to find that the place was amiable and there were only a few other people. Which was a good thing considering the enchanting visage of Percy.
Soon enough, they rented an alley for themselves and ordered drinks.
"I'll go first." Apollo swaggered in front of the group. "I have godly accuracy and finesse after all."
"With a bow." Hermes deadpanned.
Apollo merely scoffed in reply, "How different can bowling and archery be? Just have to hit those things, right?" At the nods he received, he grabbed a bowling ball and rolled it towards the pins.
"And in the gutter, it goes." Loki whistled.
Thor clapped, "That was awesome. You're right, Apollo. Archery and bowling? Pshh, what so different?"
"Shut up." Apollo flipped them off and growled at the silent laughs the few mortals around them were giving him.
The group stopped laughing when they sensed three familiar presences walk in the door. Sure enough, it was the original perverted trio, stumbling inside in half-drunk states. Poseidon and Ra were miserable as they remembered the woman they loved while Odin laughed while he imagined his wife who he will finally see later.
"Oi, old geezers, what are you doing here?" Apollo called out to them.
At noticing the still complete pins standing on Apollo's alley, Ra mocked, "To see you try and master the holy art of bowling and fail, of course."
"Why you!?" Apollo lunged towards Ra but was stopped by a laughing Thor.
And so, the three joined the young gods in bowling. Much to Apollo's bitterness, the three were skilled in bowling like his companions. Only he failed to get a strike. He huffed from the side as the gods all made fun of his struggle, his brow twitching in annoyance.
The mood was stopped when a particularly loud thunder boomed in the sky.
Poseidon guffawed, "Looks like Zeus finally found where we were." The two other elder gods giggled at this.
"What time is it anyway?" Hermes asked, popping a fry into his mouth.
"We're late to the meeting for two minutes already." Loki answered and surprisingly to everyone, he didn't sound panicked.
"All good things must come to an end." Percy whined.
"That is not a good thing and for once, I'm looking forward to go to the meeting and leave this place." Apollo snapped, marching angrily for the door.
The gods looked at each other, before falling into another round of laughter, hearing the frustrated shout of Apollo from the outside.
LINE BREAK
Zeus massaged his throbbing forehead, looking at the gathered gods of all the pantheons seated on their own temporary thrones.
Finally, after two minutes of throwing his bolt of lightning in the sky while the Norse gods watched, his embarrassing god king counterparts and the young generation of immortals arrived, and in half-drunk states, no less. He wondered what the Norse thought of him after seeing him fail to reign in his own sons for a meeting he called.
Zeus sighed heavily, feeling Hera's hand stroke his arm comfortingly.
The major gods of the Norse were seated in temporary seats, as well as Ra and Percy who were the last of the Egyptian pantheon. The status of Percy's high primordial-ness has not been made public. Therefore, only they, the Greeks, and the royal family of Norse knew that they had the most powerful being in the planet capable of destroying the very essence of the primordials they feared was seated on the council, pretending to be a mere prince to his adopted father.
"I declare the start of the meeting." Zeus boomed tiredly, striking the center of the throne room with his lightning.
"Why have you called the meeting, Zeus?" The ever so beautiful Frigga asked. Odin kept waving at his wife who decided to ignore him for being late in the first ever meeting of all three pantheons after a long time.
"Thanks to the help of young Perseus here," Zeus nodded to where Percy was seating, "we were able to learn the plan of our united enemies. After getting routed by Loki in Asgard, the Norse evil faction gave joined with the Greece in attacking Camp Jupiter. Well done, Perseus."
Percy gave a smile as a reply. Zeus can see from the corner of his eyes, his fellow immortals getting drawn into the aura of the prince of Egypt. Even he felt a tug in his heart but was quick to repress it. The boy was too good looking. He laughed inwardly at the visible internal confusion the Norse gods felt as they laid their eyes upon the boy, unable to explain the growing attraction they were having for a fellow god.
If only they knew Percy was no mere god, then they won't be wracking their brains for an answer. Zeus thought giddily, happy he was inside the joke and not the butt for once. Still, even when he was yet to ascend to his real status, Percy could match a god of love in looks.
"I can confirm this information Percy has gathered." Loki added to the discussion, "I have slain my creation, Fenrir, who acted as the general in the attack against Asgard. Their only remaining generals is my other creation, the Midgard Serpent, who at seeing his brother fall, sounded a wise retreat. No doubt if they hadn't, they would have been wiped out by my brother and I."
Thor puffed out his chest with smugness at this, "They possess weapons made of the same black metal used to stab Lord Kronos with. We were not able to gather information about the source of this metal, but at least we know that the enemy is in collusion with the other."
"There is another problem that we have to solve before we face the enemy in a final battle." Hades raised his hand. "They hold a clear advantage against us in that, even their foot soldiers are capable in slaying us if they can get a lucky hit. And no matter how many foot soldiers we obliterate, they will only return since the doors of death are open and Thanatos is captured."
The gods knew how grim the news was. The weak can overwhelm the strong with numbers. Just a single lucky thrust of a spear, with a tip made of the black god-slaying metal, and they can perish.
"I volunteer to recapture the doors." Percy volunteered himself. The Norse immortals that were already stealing glances of the prince of Egypt only had their interest rise to peaks at hearing this.
"Are you sure?" Ra wanted to stop his son, but he knew only his son will be a hundred percent safe in recapturing the doors. It was in Alaska where gods were weakened but Percy was not just a god.
Percy nodded his head.
Zeus beamed, "Great, one problem solved."
"I have succeeded in fixing your mess, by the way." Percy's warm eyes grew cold as he looked at the Greek gods, "The enemy is evil, but you guys also have a part in this mess. The army of the enemy had discontented and disillusioned children of yours. The demigods of the minor gods were also there, feeling they are fighting against the injustice being done upon them and not knowing that they were just being used by the true evil."
The Greek gods flinched back as the truth was laid upon them. Only Hera and Hestia were unaffected as they did not have any part in this and were glad inside that Percy was bringing up the mistakes of their fellow Olympians.
The Norse gods were truly flummoxed at seeing this. They have expected Zeus to try and kill the prince and for Ra to protect his son and strike back when this extraordinary irresistible looking man went on a rant about the injustice of the Olympians. Much to their surprise, the arrogant Zeus just took the rant and nodded his head guiltily. Their brains were going crazy in trying to figure out this new god.
"I have recruited back to our forces, the children, so that they may not be used much further by the disgusting beings taking advantage of the foolishness of the youthful." Percy snarked angrily as he remembered the titans using the anger of Luke for their cause, "I have fixed the two camps, making them treat each other kindlier and destroying the arrogance of major demigods towards minor demigods. Don't mess it up, Lord Zeus." He looked at the god king in the eyes and begged sincerely.
Zeus felt his heart rate speed up as the charms of the man started to get to him. He looked away from the beautiful different colored iris of Perseus before he can answer, "Thank you for fixing the consequences of our actions, Perseus. If you want a prize for your efforts, you only have to ask, and it shall be yours."
Percy smiled brightly, and everyone looking at him felt their hearts flutter, "My only wish is for you to treat your children like your children." He rolled his eyes, the devastating smile still on his face.
Zeus nodded at the wish, noticing that Hera did not hit him for getting attracted. Much to his amusement, even Hera was affected.
"Even if you had not wished it, we still would have done so." Zeus said warmly. "The time for change is upon us. Our pantheons are finally reunited, a pity that the other pantheons ceased to exist before we can be reunited once again under an alliance. As the god king of the Greeks, I welcome you back to the main universe, Norse gods and Ra."
"Now that we're all together…" Odin began.
"We can officially abolish the separation agreement." Ra finished.
"And the mist will now also apply to the gods of the other pantheons." Zeus informed.
There was applause and cheers as the god kings made a different agreement.
"Please feel free to explore Olympus for now while young Perseus here, close the doors of death. Once the doors of death are closed, all of us shall rally along with our children in a final clash against the enemies of all that is good." Zeus announced.
"Artemis." He called out to his daughter.
"Yes father?" Artemis asked.
"Go with Apollo and meet your boyfriend in Camp Half-blood. Transport every single camper and Chiron towards Camp Jupiter."
Though many of the Norse gods had no idea of the implication; Ra, Odin, and the rest of the Olympians were shocked at the order.
"But father?" Athena protested, "We can't have our forms clashing now, especially since this is probably the most dangerous battle we will ever fight."
"We can't stay divided forever." Zeus waved Athena's concern off, "I have found the solution to our problem."
"What?"
"Since our demigods are divided, with the Greeks worshipping our Greek selves and the Romans doing the same with out Roman aspects, we too are divided. But if we can unite them, then our problem will cease to exist."
"But doing it in these times…Zeus, are you sure of this?" Poseidon asked worriedly.
"I am, brother. This is the time of change. This is the coming of a new dawn for us all. I will take the opportunity and change our pantheon for the better, no matter the risk. Besides, our Nordic and Egyptian allies are here with us, what is there to fear?"
The elder gods stared in shock at the king, as they saw a glimpse of the young Zeus they knew before he was crowned king. The adventurous and headstrong Zeus who rescued them from the belly of their then, paranoid father. Hera licked her lips and smiled as she saw the Zeus she fell in love with once again.
Noticing the odd looks from his siblings, Zeus shrunk shyly back at his throne, "What?"
"Nothing, my beloved." Hera sang lovingly.
Zeus was miffed with the passionate look Hera was giving him but chose to not dwell on the thought. "Anyways, I declare this meeting adjourned and I bid you, Perseus, safe travels." Then he smiled, "Give them hell."
"You got it, my lord." Percy grinned and winked back.
LINE BREAK
Thanatos just loved to see the annoyance overwhelm his captors faces as he kept repeating a tune he made up as he was getting chained next to the gates named after him. If they think his spirit will be broken from the humiliation of chaining him next to the very gates he guarded, then they were in for a surprise. Thanatos mentally cackled as he saw the eyebrow twitch of Polybotes as he repeated the random tune he made again.
"Couldn't you just shut up already, damned god!" Polybotes stomped on Thanatos's stomach harshly.
Thanatos grunted in pain. Getting stepped on a giant was added on his list of not to do again ever in his immortal life. It hurts. But he was not allowing Polybotes to have further satisfaction by showing his pain, instead Thanatos grinned through gritted ichor-stained teeth and said, "The tune is Apollo-sent, wouldn't you say? It's like one of the pop songs the mortals so loved. Very catchy."
Polybotes roared, "Do you not realize your position, right now? Your chained in god slaying chains, far from the land of the gods who could save you…not that they would want to. You're just a minor god after all."
Thanatos didn't let the jab get to him. He knew that the reason why Polybotes refused to kill him was because they wanted him to join their arm against the godly pantheons. And he was very sure that if Hades could, the ruler of the underworld would have come here already to save him. Hades and he were kind of close, having spent many millennia in the underworld.
"You'd have to do better than that if you want to convince me to join your ragtag army that is really bound to lose." Thanatos snorted, "I mean, come on. First off, isn't there a single attractive face in your army? Even one? All of you look like a monkey that got stepped on by Hercules then put together and forcefully resurrected by my lord." Out of the corner of his eyes, he can see Polybotes's grip on his trident tightening.
"And do you have to stick to the dramatic one versus one with the Olympians? You're Lord Poseidon's bane? Why'd you have to copy him with using tridents and wearing scale armor. Really, he may rock the look but you…frankly, you look like a fish. A really big and ugly fish."
Before Polybotes can land his fist on the annoying god of death's face, an explosion erupted from behind the ranks of his army that was guarding the doors of death.
Things weren't going as well as the children of Gaea initially though it would. When Tartarus's seal was destroyed, the titans and giants banded together to conquer what was rightfully theirs…Earth. At first, thing looked good for them. They were given a metal that was capable of mortally wounding their strongest sibling, Kronos. Almost killing him.
Then they successfully launched a campaign in overthrowing Hades's control of the underworld. At that time, it seemed like they were going to win the war.
But then, five days ago, some news was spread through their armies. Very grave news. Three of their titan brothers who were tasked to massacre the children of the gods who won't join their army were bested by a god prince of Egypt, an adopted son of Ra. The very same god had won over the hearts of the angry and hurt demigods that joined their army. The demigods they recruited came back to the camps, and those that were thinking of joining them decided not to because the damned god fixed the broken system of the Greeks, bringing respect to the minor gods too.
The doors of death were crucial to their success. With the doors of death under their control, they were basically an immortal army wielding god slaying weapons. They had to keep the doors of death in their arsenal if they wanted to win.
The arrival of the Norse pantheon was a mixed bag. On the bright side, the enemy of the Norse gods joined up with them. The Midgard serpent, an intimidating sight, Polybotes admitted. It was the acting general of the Nordic anti-god army. As strong as two giants, the Midgard serpent was a welcome ally as well as their weaker giant Norse counterparts.
But on the negative side, the Norse gods joined up with the Greeks.
A messenger approached Polybotes to snap him out of his thoughts. "Sire, it seems the gods have sent one of their own into retrieving Thanatos and his doors."
"Just one?" A smile split Polybotes's ugly face.
"Indeed." The messenger bowed her head, "He wiped out a portion of our army with his landing. Of course, those who died just came back."
Polybotes laughed. It seems he would be the first to draw godly blood in this war.
"Who is it?"
"I could not tell sire. But he is not in full battle regalia." A confused look on the messenger's face appeared as she reported, "He is wearing mortal clothes and he looks ravishing."
Polybotes and Thanatos, who was straining his ear to listen in on the report, looked at the blushing messenger's face blankly.
"Is she serious?" Polybotes whispered at the chained god.
Thanatos shook his head, his eyes still on the girl, "I don't know."
Polybotes cleared his throat at the strange happening, "Anyways, good job, I suppose."
"He's so cute. His eyes were of different color. I wish I someday find a man like that." The girl continued to rave on, much to Polybotes and Thanatos's dismay.
"For once, I agree with you that this is weird." Thanatos told Polybotes who can only nod, still weirded out of what's happening.
Another explosion shook Polybotes from his staring. He quickly made his way to the area of explosion, his army parting to give way for him. As they should for, he is Poseidon's bane, a son of two primordials.
When he finally made it to the front, he saw a young man, with long hair flowing against the cold Alaskan winds as he dodged the weapons being sent his way. The young man's hands were folded behind his back as he danced his way through the army who were getting more agitated the more times they failed to hit the god.
Polybotes can see a smile on the god's face. And finally, he understood his weird messenger. This man was the most beautiful being he ever laid his eyes upon. His irises were of different power, obsidian black and royal gold. Both glowed with suppressed power. His body was worthy of a being of love.
"Hello." The god grinned at the dumbfounded giant before leaping sideways, narrowly avoiding an axe that would have split him clean in half.
"Wouldn't happen to know where the god of death is, wouldn't you?" Percy asked in a shout as he leaped gracefully on top of a spear, kicking the spearman in the head then using the spearman's head to jump up in the air. When he landed on the ground, another explosion occurred.
"Not the talking type, eh?" Percy frowned at the giant who was still enamored with his looks. "Let's make this quick."
Percy leaped up the air in a spin kick that caught Polybotes right on the chin. The giant went sailing down the icy cold waters. "Now, to clean up the small fries."
From afar, Thanatos can clearly see the bodies flying away to the waters. He caught a glance of the god who came to rescue him. Percy dodged the weapons being struck at him and grabbed the collars of the foot soldiers, twisting and throwing them away towards the waters.
"Using my powers to kill you won't be worth it, so I'll just throw you away instead." Percy said more to himself than the enemy.
When the god finally reached him, Thanatos was stunned. "Have you been told of how irresistible you look before, my lord?"
Percy chuckled, "As a matter of fact, I have been. And please, just Percy. Calling me a lord feels weird."
When he saw Percy approaching his chains, Thanatos shook his head quickly, "My lor-I mean, Percy, do not touch those chains. They will quickly siphon your powers if you do so."
To his terror, Percy just waved of his warning, "Pssh, no it won't."
Thanatos just bowed his head in resignation when he saw the foolish god take hold of his chains. Looks like he was all looks and power, but no brain. "Percy." He said weakly. But he quickly became shocked when instead of the buckling of the knees he expected the god to have, the god snapped the chains easily in two with his two hands.
"See, have some faith in me, won't you?" Percy said to the speechless god of death as he snapped another chain by pulling in the opposite directions. When a spearman who was still wet with ice cold water charged at Percy, he twisted and threw the screaming spearman back to where he swam from.
Thanatos flushed at the closeness of his and Percy's faces, "Sorry." He muttered.
When Percy snapped the final chain, Thanatos fell down the snow to his knees. He rubbed his uncuffed wrists, the mark of the chain slowly disappearing as his godly regeneration came back and his reserves started to replenish.
"Stop right there!" A voice shouted from afar.
Percy just smirked, "Took you long enough. You know, for a bane of the sea god, you swim slowly."
"Shut your mouth or I'll shut it for you." Polybotes, wet and cold, screamed in outrage at the beautiful but disrespectful god. "I'll admit, you do look good and I was stunned for a moment there. But I have gotten over your appearance and I will now show you the difference between a god and a giant!"
"Yeah…maybe later." Percy winked at the giant. He took the still recovering Thanatos to his arms, the god of death blushing at the bridal carry.
"See you later." He blew a kiss then he took off. Each step he made was explosive and sent him to the air far away and in a pace that Polybotes knew, he would never catch up with.
"Damned god." Polybotes spitted. "I'll make sure I'll spear you like a fish in the final onslaught."
He looked back at the gates that were now closed. Since they didn't have the god of death, they can no longer control the doors. Polybotes stomped his feet angrily at his failure to hold the doors of death. And they were bested by a single god.
"No doubt that bastard was a god king in power level to be able to do that. If only I wasn't stunned by his looks…" He sighed in regret.
LINE BREAK
The council was called back by Zeus as soon as Percy arrived on Olympus with a blushing god of death on his arms. Zeus couldn't blame Thanatos for his state. To be carried by the arms of someone as attractive as that, he can already see from the corner of his eyes the looks of envy and jealousy being sent the god of death's way.
The gods were impressed that it didn't even take half a day for Percy to complete the mission. No doubt if it were anyone other than Percy, they would have perished.
"Well done, Perseus." Zeus's eyes glowed as he praised the adopted son of Egypt.
"Good job, son." Ra smiled at his son.
"It was nothing." Percy waved off the attention. "It was kind of fun getting to that giant's nerves."
At this, Poseidon grinned, "Is dear old Polybotes still as easy to rile up as ever?"
"That's a big yes, uncle." Percy answered, getting a laugh out of the sea god and some.
"Thank you for saving Thanatos." Hades said as silently as he could, which proved impossible as the throne room was filled with beings with enhanced hearing. "He is a cherished friend of mine."
"You're welcome, Lord Hades." Percy bowed.
"Now what?" Odin asked. "Now that the god of death has been rescued, what's next?"
"I have read from the mind of Polybotes, that they planned on marching towards Camp Jupiter with their whole army to ensure that the Roman demigods have been wiped out. Then they will go straight for Camp Half-blood. From there, they will climb the empire state and raze Olympus to the ground." Percy laid out to the gods. The Greek gods, Odin, and Ra looked grim as the plan was revealed to them.
"Bastards are going for our children." Athena growled.
But the Norse gods who just got here had entirely different thoughts in their mind. Freya, a gorgeous blonde warrior with icy blue eyes and pale skin, turned to her beloved Thor in shock, "He can read minds?"
Thor chuckled, "He can."
"They will have the advantage as they have access to the underworld." Zeus spoke out his thoughts. "They can quickly launch attacks anywhere in the world. And with their whole army, nonetheless. Once camp, even with us there, won't stand a chance against the full assault of their army."
"The problem is easily solved." Ra comforted the god king. "With three geniuses of magic here, we can power an array that will transport the entirety of Camp Half-blood to Camp Jupiter. We can protect your children easily since they're in one place."
"Three?" Demeter asked.
"Loki, myself, and Hecate." Ra pointed at the minor goddess of magic who blushed at the attention.
"She matches us, already?" Loki asked in surprise.
"In power, no. But in knowledge of magic, she has matched us." Ra answered, impressing the gods present. It was well known, even before the separation agreement, that RA and Loki were unequalled in magic. Now they have another equal.
"Would you be willing to help us out, lady Hecate?" Hera asked the goddess of magic.
"I would be honored, my lady." Hecate bowed her head, "I shall return the favor of allowing our demigods to stand shoulder to shoulder with your demigods by helping in the war." She turned to the handsome prince of Egypt, "Not only are you someone with a physique I wouldn't mind sleeping with, but your heart is gold too. You have stopped the oppression and injustice happening in the camps."
For once, it was Percy's turn to blush, and everyone thought it was an extremely cute sight when the tables were turned against the young god.
"It was only right that I did so." Percy said though his voice was still skittish with the attention, "It was unfair for the children of the gods, both minor and major, to live as they did so. Hunted by monsters and nowhere to call home. I only wished to shape the camps to be their homes, somewhere they can happily live in. No oppression and bullying happening."
"Now then, let's get back to business. Let's save our children and end this war first." Zeus said. He looked at the twin archers, "Apollo, Artemis, you go to Camp Half-Blood with our three magic geniuses and stand guard as they prepare the array for transportation. Inform Chiron of what's about to happen and if you can spare the time, with your god-king level of powers, maybe you can heal your sister, Thalia, from her stasis."
Apollo and Artemis nodded their heads, as well as the three magician immortals.
"Odin, do you mind guarding our palaces while we go to battle? Your people have already fought theirs." Zeus asked.
Odin shook his head. "Not at all. I shall protect our new home in your absence, together with my people. But our fight is still not over. There is still the Midgard serpent who most likely, allied itself with the evil already." He looked at Thor who just nodded.
"I shall accompany them in battle, father." Thor understood quickly. The gods looked on in worry. In the prophecy of Ragnarok, it was the serpent that will slay the prince of Asgard.
Freya shook her head. "Your honor and bravery are admirable, love. But this is asking for death if you are to go against the serpent."
"Do not worry, my lovely Freya. I will not perish from that worm as I still desire to have a peaceful life with you, away from the battlefield." Thor kissed the forehead of his beloved.
"I wish Ares can be like that with me." Aphrodite pouted. Hephaestus grunted.
"I'll have that popular guy watching my back. Nothing can go wrong." Thor pointed his head at Percy.
"Now," Zeus got the attention of the room back to him, "the rest of us shall go to Camp Jupiter, to prepare for the final battle."
"Are you sure you know how to reunite our aspects?" Poseidon asked. It would be a disaster if their aspects clashed while they were fighting their banes, or a titan. Just one lucky stab of a spear or a stray arrow will be the death of them.
"We shall party for three days straight after we win this war." Zeus told Dionysus who nodded seriously, plans already forming in his head. "But for now, let us focus on winning this war and end the strife these monsters have caused."
LINE BREAK
The roman demigods were shocked when suddenly all of them were in the middle of the coliseum. They blinked to the sight of the Olympians seated on the VIP box and their handsome guardian, Percy, who protected them from the attacks of two titans then disappeared. The Olympians looked at them with what some of them realized was longing while Percy was waving at them goofily.
When they snapped out of the staring, the demigods bowed down the gods. The gods were amused at how happy their children were to see the silly prince of Egypt with them. The romans took the nod from Jupiter as a cue for them to stand up from their knees.
Seeing the confused looks on the children, Percy winked, "Just wait."
It was not long after when a blinding light appeared inside the coliseum. Then quickly, weapons were raised as the roman gazed at their Greek counterparts.
Meanwhile, the Greeks couldn't care less as their attention was on their lost camp director, Percy.
"Percy!" Luke exclaimed happily, with the other Greek demigods showing the same level of enthusiasm he had at finally seeing the god again.
"Hey guys." Percy waved with a smile that sent many hearts soaring through the heavens.
The romans, after witnessing the exchange, were even more angered.
"How dare you filthy Greeks talk to Lord Perseus." A beautiful daughter of Bellona, Reyna, growled.
Only then did the Greeks pay attention to their roman siblings. They drew their weapons as well, pointing at the romans.
The gods, Kronos, Rhea, and Chiron watched what was happening with much amusement.
"It looks like Percy has bonded with our children of both sides." Demeter snorted.
"Damned good-looking bastard can start another civil war with just his smile." Apollo shook his head in disbelief and awe.
Luke raised his eyebrow challengingly at the admittedly cute brunette, "Romans. Calling you scum is an insult to scum."
"Woah, there." Percy stepped between the lunging sides. "Just chillax, guys. You young people really are hot blooded."
"You're one to talk." Ra dead panned.
Percy rolled his eyes at his father before turning back to the demigods, "I get that you have bloody history with each other but come on, you're all actually siblings. And yes, mistakes were made by both sides in the past, but even your stubborn and narrowminded parents are changing for the better."
The demigods of both sides looked at the Olympians in fear, expecting their fuming looks since Percy insulted them indirectly. But to their surprise, the gods looked guilty and sheepish.
"And you are really not in the state to be waging wars at each other because the enemy will be marching towards here in about an hour. Ready to destroy everything that is good and pure here in this world." Percy added.
"Indeed, children. Perseus here is right. We have gathered here together to protect you and end this war, once and for all. We have made many mistakes." Jupiter spoke, "But times are changing. We just reunited the three existing pantheons of the world once again. It is time we change for the better and fix the unfairness and resolve the internal conflicts within us all."
The romans and greeks looked at each other unsurely.
Percy smiled weakly at this, "I have been with both camps for two months and I can tell that you kids, though occasionally have impulsive choices, are good and cute and kind. Even the traitors that are now back to our side, they were merely hurt and manipulated. I know, that if you guys tried to reconcile, you can do it."
"If you remain stubborn at hating your fellow demigods," Percy smirked, "I'll force you to training again but this time, I won't go unarmed. Maybe a baseball bat will do."
The demigods, both Greek and Roman, shivered at the thought. At witnessing their counterparts shiver, smiles and laughs were shared.
"He humiliated you too?" A daughter of Athena asked a nearby son of Mars who scratched his head and nodded.
"After dodging my spear, he knocked me unconscious using my own shield."
The two sides slowly but surely warmed up to each other as they swapped 'how the hottest piece of divine flesh Percy crushed my confidence and combat' stories.
"I knew beating both sides up in training is the answer to peace." Percy brushed his hands with satisfaction, making the gods roll their eyes.
"Alright, children, settle down." Zeus raised his hand. The gods no longer felt the nagging headache they felt before as the two sides reconciled and sheathed their weapons. "As much as how delighted I am to watch the two sides bond over how Perseus bullied them-"
"I did not bully them!" Percy protested.
"You did." The demigods argued as one.
"…" Percy pouted at them.
"Maybe…he did not bully us?" A son of Mercury fanned his face as it heated up from seeing the god pout.
"Do not get seduced by him!" Luke grabbed his brother by the shoulder, "Don't let his charms get to your mind."
"You bully!" Hermes played along the demigods joke and jumped down from his place and to the center of the coliseum.
"Not only that but he seduces our children with his damned face!" Apollo shouted from the stands, his face as if a tragedy just befell him.
Percy crossed his arms and walked to a nearby stone bench, then sulked.
"As I was saying!" Zeus took back the reigns of the conversation, amazed at how it was derailed so easily by Perseus. "Our enemies will be marching in an hour, towards us. Full army. But they will not stand a chance against us now that our pantheon, the roman and Greek, are reunited into one. "
In the background, Percy was piggyback riding Bellus. Ra and Poseidon were glad to see that the two grew close in a short time.
"There will be time to tour the Greeks into this camp and to know each other more but for now, we must put those aside. Prepare for battle. We will meet the enemy in the battlefield. Also, let me introduce to you, Thor, son of Odin and the Norse's reinforcements to help us in our battle."
The demigods looked at Thor with curiosity and admiration as it was the second time they were seeing a god of a different pantheon, the first being Percy.
"We will have a feast after we wipe this evilness once and for all and everything else will be talked about there. For now, that is all you need to know." Zeus smiled, "Now prepare yourselves. Athena will guide you in the formation. The rest of the gods, go the fields and await the enemy."
"Perseus, you know what to do." Zeus winked at Percy who grinned back.
"Got it." Percy replied. He shook Bellus's hair before he disappeared.
Zeus looked at the demigods.
Everything was changing and for the better, he knew. Now all he had to do was do his best to protect the demigods in the coming clash with the titans and giants. Protect the children. He would hide the demigods within the camp if he could, but to defeat the giants, it required the combined effort of a god and a hero.
'Porphyrion…' Zeus thought of his bane grimly.
