In the weeks after the aura incident, the temperament of fate has seemingly slowed allowing for several developments, none, unfortunately, were game-changers or provided any particularly interesting anecdotes excluding a select few such as some personal developments, a few new skills, and the fruits of daily training in the form of stats all of which I will delve into more detail in a bit. I continued my daily pushups and did the mandatory physical training, but I focused much more on the endurance side of the training since my fighting style put me much more into the camp of mage and I am completely not interested in a spell blade build. The training did however put me at what I thought was a decent twenty strength and thirty vitality.

I was then presented with the fact that the majority of the Order and the rest of my team were high strength, high endurance fighters. This means with the exceptions of Blake, Ren, Russel, and Weiss all of my friends were pretty much bodybuilders next to my skeletal physique. This came to a head last weak when The Order was group training by simply running laps. Ruby lapped all of us by a factor of ten, Jaune, who I swear must have an endurance modifier, was five laps ahead of me and hadn't even broken a sweat. Cardin, Nora, Pyrrha, and Sky were three laps and were chatting quite amendable. Blake and Ren were flirting two laps ahead of me and the rest of the stamina freaks were only about fifty feet behind the ninjas. Where I was well I was in the very back sweating from every poor and wheezing like the OG poison type, along with Wiess. We were only about halfway through our second mile and were struggling not to let our lungs implode. I tried valiantly not to let the exhaustion win out and at least beat Weiss so I tried thrusting mana into my limbs in an attempt to go longer, all that managed to do was give me sub-skill for sweat control.

My dexterity training was nothing special, just me continuing my shurikenjutsu training every morning only now incorporating a clay golem for a moving target. I was able to land a body shot on the dummy about sixty percent of the time when throwing one at a time, my next goal would either be throwing multiple stars or hitting specific limbs. Either way, the training has gotten me three more dexterity bringing me up to twenty-nine and upping my shurikenjutsu by three and my clay golem creation skill by one. Earlier this week I was training in the public training halls about an hour before class when Jaune was training his smithy skills in the public forge and Cardin and Nora were still sleeping. I was just flinging my incredibly sharp stars at the dummy when Velvet walked by with her team and waved at me, sending my pathetic excuse for a throw off and right into the firing mechanism of a third year's frag launcher, but at least I got two more levels of physical resistance.

Slowly but surely my Phys stats were growing but the much more profitable growth of self came from the mental side of the spectrum. Intelligence was the most profitable of my stat training, mainly since the majority of my classes at the school were focused around the planning and logistical side of hunting. Ports two-week long lecture series on how he was able to defeat a million epic Beowulf's by using a concussive shout of pure manly honor to cause the entirety of the largest mountain in all of Remnant to expound to incredibly sharp flint blades that rained down for forty days all in service to a secret tribe of amazon worries that were inexplicably infatuated with him, finished and I was able to decipher the contents into him using a blunderbuss shot to cause an avalanche. Speedy con Coffee's class was still as inexplicably unfollowable as ever but my tape recorder trick worked fairly well. I was learning some interesting lessons about history, so that is a plus at least. My intro to field medicine class was as professor less as it ever was but this week we finally began learning basic first aid which was always a plus. All of these factors combined lead to an increase of my intelligence by four adding up to thirty-six, along with a plus ten to my lying skills, and a basic medicine skill. The rest of my classes were predictably helpful but not interesting unless you consider Nora and Yang's burping contest to be riveting.

Charm was an interesting stat to try and level. To level it I have to be charming and charismatic, the exact opposite of myself so that meant me being more sociable if that was even a possibility. I managed to struggle up the final two points needed to push me over the twenty-five totaling twenty-six. Before we discuss the perk that this milestone had landed me allow me to elaborate on how I managed to squeeze these two feeble points, her name Velvet. While in public and my thoughts I shall deny it but I will admit it to you my gracious audience, I am smitten with the second year. I am not good at flirting so I decided that not making an ass of myself in front of her was an adequate goal. My attempts have ranged from spilling food all over my shirt by tripping while looking at her to blowing up a third year's weapon, at least she was gracious enough to treat my bleeding wounds. Whenever I speak with her all my vocabulary is suddenly reduced to lame puns and unintended innuendos, I am fortunately able to not stutter and I thank Monty for that. We have seemingly found a topic of equal interest to the both of us that being landscapes, me with my pathetic painting skill, that has leveled up by five since coming to Beacon, and her love of photography resulting in a look of utmost jubilation on her beautiful face of finally having another purveyor of the scenic arts. The look of joyous passion she has whenever discussing the framing of a shot or the contrast the light causes at certain times of the day was enough to give my heart a sudden urge to play hopscotch. The way her chocolate hair was dancing with gentle winds on the way to her next class as she rushed off as quickly as her feet would carry her. Her Hazel eyes would sweep across a room as if collecting all the negativity to dump it away in the bins to get on with the joy of living. The way her left brow rose oh so slightly when taking a particularly well-composed shot as if she was a sniper calculating the very rotation of existence into the compassion of her weapon. Wait, what was I talking about oh yes my new perk, it is simply put it aids in my fight against the evils of the world in a small way or in more practical terms I direct you to the description of the perk.

[New Perk; Defender of the tiny, small and young members of a species will instinctively trust you more than usual. (note this increases only by a small margin and will increase as CHS does.)]

Luck had no progress excluding these last two week's skills but I'll come back to that along with the wisdom grinding in a moment. But on this skill side, I was ground my skill in what I thought was an adequate way, I was proven wrong earlier this week by a particularly interesting battle class, allow me to elaborate with a scene change to a flashback

The day was just like any other at Beacon, Nevermores were shot down by third-year pot shots, Port was transcribing his stories into one of his best selling novels, his publishers never had the heart to tell him they were selling them in the fantasy genre instead of a biography, Ozpin was hand grinding his coffee beans, Ruby was maintaining her weapon, I was pathetically trying to improve my stats. This normality seemed to persist throughout the day if not for a certain wizard deciding that today was the day for him to impart some of his wisdom onto his students. We were all in battle class, Jaune and Yang had just about finished their match Yang winning but only by about seven percent so no one could say that Jaune was a pushover. The timer buzzed out so it was ruled a draw, they shook hands and were already joking about something on the way back to the order. I was too far away to hear but I assume it had something to do with their mutual appreciation of hair care. At the moment they reached their seats a calm voice was heard clearly from over fifty feet away.

"Ah the good old sparring match it seems so long ago that I was training at this very academy, I remember one time in my third year where I was battling against a young man too stubborn to realize that a pistol and hair gel were not enough to be an effective hunter with," He paused for a moment and smiling as if remembering a humorous situation that happened long ago. He continued in a more jovial tone.

"To be fair though I suspect that I was just as stubborn as he was once upon a time," he paused a moment to take a sip from his cup, his eyes sweeping across each of us with a gaze that would have made an atomic microscope blush, "Maybe it's time for this old curmudgeon to see if he still has the old spark, aye Glinda what do you say me against the pack, first one of them to land a solid hit gets a free pass from this class,' he smiled in an old grandfatherly way.

I was already not quite at peace since he walked in, I didn't know why it was like how a dog gets anxious before a storm, but now I realized why I may not have seen him in battle but I had a nagging hunch in my gut that ass-kicking equals authority is true in this universe and that intro was way too smooth for it to be spontaneous. A quick party message to Jaune and a silent look to Cardin and Nora was all I needed to tell them I was uneasy. The surrounding students around us had a variety of responses from excitement at the prospect of a free pass, to the apprehension of the idea, and plain blood lust for battle from Yang and Nora at the prospect of going up against a fully trained hunter.

"If you must," Miss Goodwitch said while sighing and pinching the bridge of her nose. We all shuffled down to the arena weapons ready. I had drifted to the back, my golems already spread amongst the chaos. Jaune near the front his shield up and at attention going for the defensive instead of the offense that he used to rush into, the training of the last several weeks and the presence of two much more aggressive fighters on his team had instilled it into him. Ruby had gone for a slightly elevated position on the entrance steps. Nora was right behind Jaune ready to vault right over his head in a preemptive hammer thrust as that was her standard opening attack. Cardin had followed the flow to the left side allowing him an advantage on his sightline. Blake and Ren hid in the middle of the crowd waiting for their opportunity to strike. Yang and Pyrrha at the front lines ready to jump right into the conflict. Russell had his daggers out and was spinning the cartridges to his preferred dust. Sky had his halberd out and was in position to vault to or away from the teacher. Weiss had already loaded her weapon with ice dust. The rest of the class was similarly prepared in their battle stances

The breath of the entire room was silent; you could hear the pin of a grenade falling. The sweated beaded so much on our heads that a mean necklace could have been made. Ozpin was draped in his standard black suit, not a wrinkle to be seen. His grey hair slightly fell into his eyes and his glasses seemed to have fallen too low on his nose to be effective. The ten seconds of waiting felt entirely too short cause I was still mentally preparing myself when the buzzer went off and my golems bit thin air that had not a millisecond before had housed an elderly cane-wielding badass. My preceding fireball follows up was dashed when the Wizard had lunged for Weiss, already mid cast, and swiped the tip of her rapier to the ground causing a thick layer of slippery ice to form on the ground reducing traction for us all. A single quick hit with the ancient cane brought Weiss to red, all of this happening in less than half a second. He backflipped from standing straight erect and swiped twice at Ren and Blake who had both lunged at him and were mid-air, they two were red before they hit the ground. My fireball had just then impacted the ice before he had hit the ground. A thick layer of fog encircling us and isolating us.

Out of the fog team, SIZL was launched, all in the red. A spin of his can and the fog was gone along with the volley of bullets that the crowd had launched at him. I called upon my aura and pulled at his clothes with fabric flux but he didn't even notice as he sidestepped Pyrrha's stab without even moving more than three inches. A quick swipe with his cane and the unbeatable girl was red. A quick backward kick had launched Yang away from her lunge and into Sky, two more swipes and red was the most fashionable color. Cardin swung his mighty mace and with a dismissive counter with his mug, Ozpin had shattered the mace and brought Cardin down. That all happened in approximately three seconds. A volley of icicles from me was shattered and led into him ducking under Russell and one uppercut later the Rogue had fallen. The cold eyes of the headmaster turned to my side of the stadium, and was answered with fire, that was just as effective as last time. A blink later and Nora was flying through the air, her aura a shade of crimson that wouldn't have been out of place on a fire truck. A half-hearted throw of his cup and Ruby was no longer providing cover fire. Jaune was actually being the most effective out of the entire class so far by taking a swipe to his shield and only being put down to yellow, a follow-up swipe and he was as red as a butcher. I pulled an ice wall from the remaining moisture in the air in front of me only to be shown the most dazzling display of light as the cane shattered the defense not a millisecond after its erection. A downward strike and I was red. I gazed sorrowfully as the rest of the class was similarly dismantled as my golems slid back into my inventory. A twisting flourish that sent the last remaining competitors away and the battle was done, a momentary glance at the jumbo screen told me what I already knew that not a single scratch had befallen our headmaster. The entirety of the encounter lasted exactly twenty-three point six seconds. The screens told me that I was at fourteen percent of aura left and so was everyone else, the exact same percent keep in mind not only that, the screen tracked down to the fourth digit after the decimal point, but also that Jaune had three times the amount of aura as me Weiss had just under one-tenth less than me when at max, Pyrrha outdid us all on the aura chart and yet here we are all at the exact same percentage.

With a straightening of his tie, he departed us with these words. "Ah, nothing like working the rust out of your joints with some light exercise," he turned and regarded Miss Goodwitch, "A nice batch this year, much better than last year I look forward to the next test."

That my dear friends are why I have withheld my weekly skills, wisdom training, and skill ups from you up to this point I felt like I could not express to you the change in my training attitude that contributed to these training ups without first describing to you the pure unbridled ass handing we had received. After that point when morale was at its lowest when we had marched back to our rooms after having every illusion of skill and competence destroyed did Jaune speak up and give us our pep talk and in doing so cementing his position of leadership, did we kick into gear and finally begin our journey to become Hunters. Speaking of that pep talk I would be remiss not to mention my friends' best moments so far.

The small dorm room that had up to this point been a calming beacon to us now felt like a stiffening artificial safety blanket, suffocating and dull. I was slouching and shuffling in the way I was inclined to do whenever I was in low spirits. Nora was sniffing as she walked trying in vain to keep her spirits up and keep our bad thoughts away, the attempt was appreciated though. Cardin was twitchy and tromping back to the room angry at his bad performance and grieving at the loss of his weapon. Jaune was silent from his breathing to his footfalls, they were quiet, not giving away the thoughts so plainly etched on his face, he was contemplating something whether or not it was good I couldn't say. When we finally arrived at the room I did my daily routine of watering my one plant and changing into more comfortable clothes, the others went about their business as well but there was a pressing silence in the air that whispered into our ears our misgivings and disappointments towards ourselves. Jaune suddenly stood straight and called out in a high bellow.

"Team meeting"

We gathered in the center of the room, no hard considering its size. Jaune passed back and forth, his hands clasped behind his back, his armor not even taken off yet his thoughts had jumbled him so. Every few seconds his gait would slow slightly and he would open his mouth slowly as to speak before only for the silence only heard when one is searching for words to come out. He continued this performance several times before his golden sword Odin's Sorrow to glow a giant purple signifying that Jaune and his ancestors were speaking telepathically between just the two of them, of course, I was the only member of our team to realize this as we still didn't know how to broach the topic magic and gods to our teammates. A hardened look in the eye of our teammate was the only warning we had before he began to speak.

"I am not going to sugar coat it, we got our asses kicked by someone so far out of our leagues that several World Series games could be played. I've been thinking the same thing ever before today, I've been second-guessing every decision that's led me here, I've been thinking what if, and I know what we're all thinking what could we have done differently. What if I had waited or lunged earlier, what if I had trained harder. what if, what if. What does not matter now isn't if it's what now. What now, do we stop or do we keep going, do we settle for this or do we rework our training, do we keep fighting as I or do we start fighting as us. I know I sound like every single movie pump up speech in the world but I believe in every word I just said. I believe we can get back up, I know we can do better, and I know that none of us can go the distance alone so I ask you to help me, help me become a good enough leader to be deserving of my position, help me help you to be hunters that fairy tales will be written about" his voice progressively getting louder and louder and force full, but not the force of a drill sergeant but more of the force of a coach more encouraging than diminutive. He huffed for a few seconds trying to get his breath back, his eyes looking at us waiting for a reaction. He didn't have to wait long.

I flashed him a smile and said, "Do you really think I'm going to let you stumble your way through this place without me, I'm in." As I said this Cardin stood up and smiled in what I think he thinks is a confident smirk but in reality was more of a condescending sneer but was close enough to show his support. Nora jumped up, all the color that had drained from her snapped back into reality and she lunged with a spread that I swear Ruby would have trouble outpacing, and slammed into Jaune with a cheery smile and said.

"Oh, Jaune you know just what to say to a girl," her joyous candor being interspersed with the cracks of Juane's spine and the pained groan from our leader. Once Nora had finished hugging our courageous Vomit knight he said in his let's get down to business voice.

"Ok now what we need to do is start planning out what our next step is starting with our most pressing concern, our equipment, after that our skill training plan and then our team synergy, Mark you're our strategist any suggestions"

"Well, Cardin you mostly use that mace of yours one-handed before, so a small shield or buckler on your left arm should be good," I expressed out loud trying to expand on my thoughts.

"A new weapon is a definite must, I suggest a retractable chain flail along with a solid head instead of a hollow one," I'm not going to lie I had been giving this thought before but that was mostly because his hollow mace really bugged me and I also thought that Cardin looked like a douche butch Brigitta from Overwatch.

"Jaune you're our tank so I would go for some thicker armor and shielding along with a backup weapon for long-range," I continued. His Chitin armor and his dragon scale shield were awesome but we were starting to go up against some bigger and stronger stuff and we would have to upgrade soon, which also meant that I needed a way to get new staves.

"For me, I must get some new chem belts and a new crossbow, one that didn't come from a back alley finch," that's the story of how I got the disguised Nimrod and I'm sticking to it.

"Well let's do this I can start making some basic replacements until we can scrounge up enough for better gear till then team training every day after classes for at least an extra two hours then group study we can even bring in LSTN and RYBL if we want alright team brake"

Before the team meeting my wisdom training consisted of just reading and interpreting and that was ok it got the job done but in the oven them I now realize that it was significant, and thus I began thinking what can I do to affect my wisdom and I don't just mean the numerical representation and then it hit me, I remembered game fanfic I have read before it described the relationship between int and wis as the same as the relationship between the theoretical and practical application of information. And it hit me. I had to bring my theoretical knowledge of my skills, the mp cost the area of effect, the secondary effects, etc, and turn it into practical applications and solutions in the real world. I should have probably realized that earlier since the biggest wisdom ups came from me taking already existing skills I had on me and applying them to the battle scenario: Icing the bridge, bursting the pipes under the Elk, freezing my foot for a more powerful kick. The training for my wisdom started up after that revelation. I Began practicing my skills not just in repetitive predictable ways, like doing push-ups, I instead used the strong man method of training where I use the actual abilities in a variety of ways that could be encountered in an actual combat scenario and then upping the ante.

The first excursion I had was with what I considered my primary offensive magic style, for the time being, fire. My training with the element quickly demonstrated two things for me: one, that training sub-skills also increases the primary skill. Two, that each elemental magic style comes with a common secondary effect, fire's being a damage over time burning effect that increases in damage per second along with the primary fire magic skill. Fire magic can be categorized into two basic aspects: combustion and temperature. Combustion being the force behind the attack and the temperature being the heat being given off. Putting more force into an attack gives the flames less chance to feed on mp and oxygen in the air. Theoretically, I could infuse more mp into the attack along with the increased for but that would take an inordinate amount of mana to maintain. Inversely, I can pour more power into the flames allowing more mp to be fed in and creating a hotter burn at the expense of speed and impact. By adjusting the ratio between these two forces gives a significant portion of experience but is much more drain on mp than the base forms of the attacks. The standard fireball spell that I have had for a while is approximately the size of a basketball and burns at a temperature of approximately two hundred and twenty degrees high enough to boil water but not by much, and impacts with force approximate to a basketball being shot out of an air cannon. By slowing down the ball it burns hotter by increasing the force of the ball it burns colder but it's harder. My training proceeded from there with the rest of my flame-based skill by adjusting the ration from the usual fifty. Doing so every day for thirty minutes during our teams' preschool training hour and then for another twenty during post-school two-hour training. This daily routine has increased the pyromancy skill by a twelve and has given me the temp control skill. I also took the time to replicate some of my favorite fire techniques from the media: Ace's finger flames, propulsion flames from Fire Force (only at a beginner's degree so far), and finally, The great fireball jutsu from Naruto. Theoretical combinations of fire with different elements are on the to-do list.

The second element that my experimentation has borne great fruit with is water. First and foremost I continued with my water bottle for as long as possible before it ceased giving adequate exp, I continued to carry the bottle full of water with me but that is more for having ammo for water spells at the ready. An interesting facet of the game was revealed recently to me by Jaune. He told me that even though his only fire-related skill was firecracker it still leveled up his fire mastery meaning that all sub skills affect master skills. This conclusion allowed me to focus on server subskills without worrying about the loss of total skill. The sub-skills that I have found to be the most practical have been: the water tentacle that is useful for both grabbing things but also for whipping and restraining opponents. Another sub-skill being, water conjuration, this I focus on not only survivability but it gives the most water master exp than any other skill. The final focused sub-skill Bubbles, as not only does it obscure vision for enemies but it also levels up balloon mastery and well I think that Velvet finds it cute so sue me. I also practiced a bit on just general movement of water for familiarizing myself with the feelings and it gave me an excuse to mimic water benders. All of the combined practice had gained me plus five in the focused sub-skill, plus two on all other water sub-skills, and an even plus ten water mastery.

The remainder of my spell catalog hasn't been ignored either, as I've been practicing the majority of my spells similarly to the earlier examples. My poisonous breath can now either be focused on a condensed stream or a wide dispersal. Illusion I found I have been thinking about all wrong, as illusion is split amongst two different aspects: hallucination (illusions of the mind) and mirages(illusions of the eye), the reason why my skill growth has been so slow is that I am trying to create mirages when I am wanting to make hallucinations, IE I don't need to make everyone see an apple I just need to have one person see an apple. After figuring that out I enlisted the help of Jaune and began practicing.

Enchanting and golem creation I believe to have advanced enough to deserve sections on their own. Necromancy was fun to experiment with, I don't think I'll ever forget the look on Yang's face when a battalion of undead elk was rampaging through the plaza. Torchlight effect can be stacked with multiple orbs as I found out one day while looking for my keys and ending up making Nora walk into multiple walls. Fiber flux made Russel's pants drop while talking with Sky and Pyrrha and let me tell you pink is surprisingly a good color for him. Balloonomancy was a hit with the kids at the orphanage. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I have been volunteering at the orphanage because let me tell you, lateral puppy dog eyes are impossible to resist. Dark palm was easy to level, so much so that it has already hit its mutation phase and I just need to pick which option to upgrade it to. All of my efforts lead to the congregated stat up of: plus two poison breath, plus six illusion, plus three necromancies, plus five Torchlight, plus three Fiber flux, plus ten Balloonomancy, plus twenty-two Dark Palm.

Enchanting was an increasing profitable exploit to pursue. I would often practice with basic everyday items and hide them amongst the regulars as pranks. You should have seen the look on Sky's face when he used a fork enchanted to change the color of whatever it pierced to neon colors on his steak, or when Weiss used a comb enchanted to secrete water when used to try and dry her hair. But the biggest grinding opportunity that I found was that I could remove bullets from my Gamers pocket and enchant them. The enchanted bullets were finite as I had to create them myself but that was no big deal and it applied to crossbow bolts as well. With these practices, I managed to get enchanting up to level fifty and its next prestige rank which granted me the choice between double strength enchantments or multi-enchantment on singular objects up to two enchantments, I haven't decided between the two yet. I also created a metric fuck tone of new enchantments, my favorite being: magnetic attraction, all four elemental enhancements, water purification, double charge, minor stasis, and finally perfume, so everything I wear smells beautiful.

My thief skills have kinda fallen behind as I only train them with golems and on Don but two still managed to prestige at level twenty-five, mug only gained the ability to steal better items but thief gained a chance to spawn special items when successfully stealing something, the riskier the steal the better the chance, this gave me more incentive to train those skill but I swore to myself to only use those skills on those deserving. Which led me to a one-man theft war against the criminals of Vale. Which landed me some choice loot.

[Gentleman's threat; The iconic bowler hat of Roman Torchwick, this hat grants and additional twenty percent chance to all theft cheeks, increases rare drops by 25%, and increases the fashion skill by five.]

Yes, I did manage to get a fashion skill, it's low but does passively increase my CHM so I am working on it. I managed to get this bad boy along with the next two items by firing a dust golem through a window in the abandoned warehouse district along with twelve candlelight flash grenades. I also found out that the flash scales with my pyromancy skill.

[Panties of the Sweet Cream Sundae. The panties of Neo this multi-colored thong holds the minimal amount of fabric necessary for practical use, the waistband is pink while the crotch is white. These panties give +25 to the illusion skill]

[Panties of the burning glass. The panties of Cinder, this fire-themed garment at first seem to just be simple hipster style panties they are imbued with fire dust making them glow with golden highlights and can be used as emergency ammo for dust casters. These panties grant +10 to pyromancy, fire dust mastery, and fashion skills]

Now I know you're thinking that I'm just a perv with a thing for panties and you'd be right but what makes these panties is that they unlocked a special perk when I got them.

[Perk; Panty maniac; you are a true consider of female underwear so much that it has imprinted upon your very soul granting you extraordinary power along with a soiled reputation with those who know your secret. This perk grants you the ability to use panties as pseudo skill books to grant you their effects without having to wear them or be a woman]

This had been a surprisingly awesome turn of events as my golems seem to be obsessed with stealing underwear so I might as well put it to use. So I gained the power of all the panties that I had and it has finally gotten me enough skill levels in illusion to master CM meaning my disguise will never falter and it gave me a pretty good prestige gain for reaching such a level, the ability to use the demonic hell viewing technique on people with lower wis than me and since wis is one of my best stats that's a lot of victims.

I had also commandeered the Beacon abandoned garden for my use, having bought a bunch of different seeds from the Abysse, including corn, spinach, pot, sweet potatoes, Chinese potatoes from Subnautica, several different poisonous flowers from across the dimensions, and ancient fruit from Stardew Valley. Mana growth had gotten a lot of levels in the meantime.

It was all these gains that gave me the courage to do what I've had trepidations about doing since the manticore incident, no not asking out Velvet that's later, summoning Eros from the dias I got, partially for the wings but mainly because Jaune was seriously starting to gain a massive boost from his union with Odin and I was feeling left out. So that's why I was on the roof of the dorm building drawing a large pentagram with a bunch of candles, and before you ask I tried just waking it up with my awaken aura skill but the system said that Odin's awakening was unique as he was sealed a lot earlier than Eros with a weaker seal and I had to jump through a few more hoops.

With everything prepared I began the chant as the words flowed through me with almost no thought, a corona of dancing lights surrounding me as the candles became monoliths of flame.

"I call to you, the most fertile of gods. Bringer of love, lust, and all in between, the weaver of dreams and breaker of hearts. I seek your companionship and guidance in the ways of passion. Eros god of love, lust, consent, beauty seek comfort from your prison and awaken by the pleas of I"

A figure of pure light emerged from the ancient dias, concealed in golden wings, and folded in the fetal position. The wings peeled away leaving a naked person. It's for shifting from one second the next, man to woman, black to white until all combinations had to be tried and land on until a beautiful man with golden curls and blue eyes looked me in the eyes and said.

"Son of man, I have heard your call and answered, I am Eros and we will indulge in the beauty of life together as one till the world is once more right, may my wings carry you to your happily ever after."

He then dissolved in particles of light and absorbed into me and all at once I could him seeing all that I was and am and with a hum of approval he accepted me and we became one. The diode in which he was sealed flying around to my back and sinking into the flesh becoming an intricate tattoo in the process. The new feeling was interrupted by the ping of the system alerting me to several new screens that read.

[You have unsealed and thus became the host of the god Eros]

[Plus 20 to CHM]

[New perk; You have gained the perk flight from absorbing the Dias of Nike]

[New Perk; Eros' blessing; this perk allows the gamer to fire bolts of love from any bow or crossbow, seance love in all its forms, have command of all love based creatures such as succubi, and cherubs ]

Exhaustion hit me like a sack of bricks as I finished reading the screens, I fell to my knees and my chest as I heard in my head a silky smooth voice.

"Sleep my friend I will watch over you, and tomorrow we will bring love's glorious shine to this world once more."

I felt infinitely soothed by those words, sleep took me to dreams filled with hopeful futures and fuzzy bunnies that seem so real I could reach out and grasp them.

Welp that certainly was an interesting year. I'm going, to be honest with you all this last year I and many others left the RWBY fandom due to increasingly toxic fans and harassment. I was so put off by these fans that I decided to leave the fandom permanently. That was a few months ago and I am going to remain permanently separated from the fandom but I felt infinitely guilty leaving this story unfinished and so I will post my outline for the remainder of this fic to give the story closer. That will be the next chapter posted and I will begin typing it as soon as this is published.
