One evening, I found my husband, Loki, standing on the balcony starring up into the sky. I slid beside him and I felt his arms loop around my waist. I looped my arms around his neck as I laid my head against his chest and breathed in his scent. He always smelt of grass and water in the air, but tonight he smelt of dirt and fiery brimstone the new smell wasn't an unwelcomed scent just different. He smelt as if he had been crawling around in the darkened earth.

"Do you remember which star is Vannahiem?"

I starred at the sky, "Um...there." I pointed at a close planet that looked so close that looked like I could touch it.

Loki smiled at me pleased to know I hadn't forgotten.

"Where-Where is Migard?" I stammered.

He looked at me confused for a second and then looked back at the sky, "That way," He gestured across the sky, "Why?"

I sighed, "No reason."

"Please? Tell me?"

"Well, on Midgard we are taught to trust the Gods and Goddesses because they can see our problems but I guess that isn't true."

A look of panic and heartache spread across his face as he looked at me, "But we are not Gods."

"To my people you are and to me you will always be."

He looked at me not really looking at me but through me.

"I was your bride on Midgard too I sleep at the feet of the Loki statue. I took my vows to marry you in the Loki Temple and the priestess slid a band of gold onto my right ring finger after I proved myself waking up at your statue's feet most people tried it and died, right there."

He sadly brushed back my hair, "Here," He surprised me with an ornately carved Alder-wood box, "Before I forget I had this made for you." He smiled.

"Not the box?"

He tried to stifle a laugh but answered ,"No, not the box." He reached over and opened it's lid my mouth dropped open.

"How? How did you get this?"

"Don't worry about it."

I shrugged and rushed to the vanity mirror and lifted a silver oversized tiara from the box. Along the back of the crown was my cut silver locks. I put it on and fluffed my hair to hide the metal ribbon that attached the hair to the crown, The illusion was beautiful and perfect.

I turned to look at Loki with a big smile on my face.

"You're so much prettier when you smile like that."

" May I ask what happened to the swordsmith?"

" Loki winced, "Do you really want to know?"

I really didn't so I kept my lips shut and pet my long hair once more.
