Chapter 7 is up. Sorry for the later and later update, but I'll make sure it's continuing. Gonna get ready for Uni so I don't have that much time as I believed to have. Also this chapter done in a hurry so blame me for all letdowns. Hope you'll still enjoy it and let's get into the story.
Chapter 7: Anabel's story
It didn't take until the purple was right in front of Ash for him to notice it.
Let's recall what happened last chapter. A purple colour covered the sun when Ash is waiting for his date Anabel to arrive at a seaside café in Melemele, Alola.
Turns out the purple was 'approaching', instead of 'getting bigger'.
Within seconds, a helicopter's chopping sound can be heard along the coastline, as a purple coloured parachute descends and crash-landed on the wooden floor of the café, smashing on a few tables and chairs apart before coming to a full stop.
Of course, Ash was drinking his mocha when all of this happened. The person in the parachute wrapped her arms with the young man, causing him to fly sideways and smash into tables as well.
Quite obviously, that person in the parachute is Anabel. She mentioned a 'safe landing' to Looker through her ear piece before taking it off, and throwing it into the water.
"I don't really think that's 'safe' of a landing…" Looker sighed, as he only saw white smoke spreading the coastline, slowly going upwards, and the café being a complete mess from the heli. "But whatever. Have a fun time chief!" He ordered the pilot to land at Melemele's secret base.
"Ow…" Ash started, trying to get up, bruises covered his body. His eyes finally focused at the woman on top of him. A certain woman he knew for 10 years, in a fairly long lilac-hair, suit jacket and a backpack, connected to a Driftloon-shaped parachute.
"Sorry Ash, I'm late." Anabel smiled at him. "And messy." She giggled.
"No worries." The raven-haired man replied. He looked no different at all. A red cap, white t-shirt with blue wavy pattern, and jeans. "By the way, I liked how you got here, although we have to clear up this mess." Ash laughed.
"I guess so." Anabel laughed. Putting the pokéball on her hand away.
"Er… Anabel?"
"What is it?" She smiled.
"If you can… get off me…"
It took until now for Anabel to realize their awkward position. "Oh… Oh! Sorry."
After a little while of clearing the mess (and Anabel paying the shopkeeper for all the broken tables and chairs), Anabel took off her parachute backpack. "And don't mind me taking this off as well." She slowly took off the suit trousers.
"Ahh! Wait! What are you doing?!" Ash covered his eyes in embarrasment.
"Relax, Ash. It's not like me stripping naked here." Anabel laughed, trying to cover the blush she got on her face.
Ash slowly opened his eyes, to see the lower part of her white dress. He sighed in relief.
Taking off the pair of trousers and her suit jacket, revealed Anabel in her white dress.
"So, let's get to the main part. How did you know me?"
Ash nodded, and started the story. "It was a nice Wednesday afternoon…" (It's basically the main story, so I'm skipping it here. Watch the two episodes where she appears.)
And with that, he went through, detail after detail, how He met Anabel, how she revealed she was a frontier brain, the first battle, the training and the second battle.
"So after that you gave me the Ability symbol, which it's in my home back in Kanto, and waved me goodbye. That should be everything."
Anabel tried to recall all the stuff, and finally faint memories for how Ash looked like 10 years ago appeared on her mind.
"I remembered! I have definitely seen your face! I can still recall it!" Anabel jumped, excitement all over her face. "Sorry, if I scared you. Acerola have said this to you, but… I had amnesia. I don't remember anything since Mr. Looker saved me in Alola."
"Looker? From the International Police?"
"Yes. He was done with a mission when he found me unconcious on a beach in Poni Island." Anabel smiled sadly. "Along with a basket carrying baby Acerola. All I could remember from that time was only 'Acerola's my sister', 'I'm from Hoenn', and 'I was the guardian of a tower'. My pokémon also lost their memories, besides recognising me as their master, and that I know telepathy."
"Sad times. How is your life after, though?"
"Apparently for whatsoever reasons from the International Police I had to undergo isolation at their headquarters. I got bored of doing nothing and getting pairs of eyes examinating on me. So when I'm old enough to work I joined them." Anabel showed her badge. "I forgot everything, but got another job, and a whole new life ahead of me. Acerola stayed with an ex-chief called Nanu, who's an Island Kahuna. And I worked so hard that I became chief despite I'm only 22."
"That's such a wonderful story… But why would you tell me your job?"
"Ash… No, Mr. Ketchum. I hope you would help us, the International Police, for our investigation on Ultra Beasts!"
That's it! I hope you liked it. It's not quite a 'date' as we all expected.(No one promised it's a date XD)
So this chapter marks the complete end of the beginning. This whole fic should be quite a lot of chapters long. I had a perfect end on my mind but still missing the events between. So wait for it and R&R please! I am looking forward to more reviews or even ideas that helps my fic! Until then I'll see you next time!
