Brad is going to start trying harder to get rid of Stan now. There may be casualties along the way. But don't worry about that! *gives shit-eating grin*

BTW, I have a Twitter if you want to look me up and send art my way. Or just bother me a lot. Look me up at White Thunder ThunderingWhite. Look for the picture of the horse.

Chapter 18 – Dammit Janet

Stan had a terrible nightmare that night. He was running in a pitch-black forest, fleeing from an unseen terror. He could hear his friends calling to him for help, but he couldn't see any of them. Branches scratched at his face as he ran and he tried to shield his face with his arms, but it was no use. He could feel the darkness closing in around him when he suddenly tripped and fell, which caused him to fall out of his bed and crash to the floor.

Blinking awake, Stan sat up and looked around. He was no longer in the scary forest but in the cabin. Craig and Tweek were still asleep in the other bed, undisturbed by his fall. With a sigh, Stan stood up and brushed himself and was about to climb back into bed, when he suddenly noticed Kyle standing silently in front of him. He jumped backwards in surprise.

"Jesus, Kyle! Don't scare me like that!" he hissed at his friend.

"Sorry," Kyle whispered, "I heard a loud crash in here and I was checking to see what it was. Are you all right?"

Stan sighed. "Yeah, I just had a nightmare which caused me to fall out of bed," he explained, "Sorry if I woke you up."

"Nah, I was already awake," Kyle told him, "I've barely slept at all since we got here. This place is madness, Stan."

"Tell me about it," Stan muttered, "Anyway, let's try to get some sleep. We don't want Brad and his goons to catch us off guard because we're sleep deprived."

"You're right. Good night Stan."

"Good night Kyle."

In the morning, neither Stan nor Kyle had gotten much more sleep. Kyle in particular could barely keep his eyes open and Stan was quite jumpy. Kenny noticed this when he met them for breakfast the next morning.

"(Ugh, you guys do not look good today,)" Kenny noted, "(What happened to you? Rough night?)"

"You could say that," Stan muttered, "I had a horrible nightmare last night and it was hard for me to get back to sleep."

"And I haven't been sleeping well at all," Kyle added.

"(Well, that sucks,)" Kenny said, "(Cartman randomly wandered into my cabin last night, all drugged up and loopy, climbed on top of me, and fell asleep that way.)" Stan and Kyle stared at him in surprise.

"How are you still alive?" Stan wondered. Kenny shrugged.

"(Eh, I don't know,)" he replied, "(I managed to get him off me at some point. Anyway, you should probably check on Kyle. I think he just died in his food.)"

Confused, Stan looked beside him and was startled to see Kyle face down in his tray. Stan reached over and nudged him, which caused his friend to topple over sideways.

"Oh God, Kyle really must be sleep deprived," Stan sighed, "He's out cold. Maybe I should bring him back to bed."

"(Good idea,)" Kenny agreed, "(Need any help?)"

"Yeah, can you help me carry him?" Stan asked. As he pulled Kyle to his feet he could've sworn he heard Kenny mutter "(Darn, I was really hoping you would say no.)" But maybe he was just imagining it. Kenny was hard to understand with his hood up, after all.

Together, the two of them carried Kyle out of the building and past a still loopy Cartman who was wobbling through the door. He gave them a lopsided smile, despite them ignoring him.

After they got back, they found Scout Master Scout standing in the front of the room listing the activities for the day. With a sigh, Stan and Kenny sat down next to Butters, who was listening far more eagerly than they thought he should have.

"Ugh, these 'fun-filled' activities sound like torture," Stan moaned.

"These activities sound great!" Butters exclaimed happily.

Kenny gave him a confused look. "(Butters,)" he said, "(Are you completely stupid?)"

Butters considered his question for a moment. "Yes!" he replied with a smile on his face.

Stan was going to say something, but he was interrupted when he felt someone gently touch his neck from behind. Gasping, he spun around and glared at Janet who grinned sexily at him. She twiddled her fingers at him.

"Hey Stan," she greeted, "You're looking good today."

He couldn't say anything. Brad was glaring right at him, making gestures with his hands, threatening to break him in half. Stan gulped and tried not to whine when Janet sat down next to him, throwing one leg over his lap.

"We should hang out today, Stan," she said in a seductive voice, "I've been wanting to spend more time with you every day! But meanie Brad won't let me!"

"Er, I really don't think we should," Stan muttered, trying not to look at her. Janet pouted out her lower lip and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

"Aw, come on Stanny! Just indulge me for a while!" she whined.

"I have a girlfriend," Stan pointed out. Janet giggled.

"Yeah, so?" she cooed, "What does that have to do with anything? We can still, mmm… hang out and do stuff." Stan swallowed.

"I'd rather not," he muttered. Brad was still glaring. He startled slightly when Kenny slammed his hands down on the table.

"(Will you leave him alone?)" he growled, "(Can't you see he's not interested? Go away, you bimbo!)"

Janet looked like she understood only about half of what Kenny said, but she knew she didn't like it. She glared at Stan's hooded friend.

"I don't know what you said, but I don't like it!" she growled, "Leave us alone, you little weirdo!" But Kenny refused to back down. He walked around and pushed himself in between Stan and Janet, glaring at her the whole time.

Janet's eyes were on fire but she finally seemed to get the picture and got up and left, going over to Brad's table. Stan left out the breath he had been holding in.

"Thanks Kenny," he murmured, "I don't know if I could have taken much more of that."

"(No problem,)" Kenny replied, "(Kyle's not here right now, so I felt I had to step in and help you. Besides, she's a bitch.)"

"She is," Stan agreed.

The campers were forced into many horrible activities throughout the day. Stan and Kenny mostly used Butters and Cartman as shields from Brad and his cronies' wrath. Cartman was still loopy so he didn't seem to mind.

Seeing as they were on the second week, it seemed like Scout Master Scout was trying to jam as many things into one day as possible. They did dodgeball for half an hour, then they swam for a little bit, then they were forced to make random arts and crafts.

"Man, is this guy going to let us take a break soon?" Clyde whined, "I'm so tired! I'm sick of making macaroni art!"

"Then stop making macaroni art," Craig pointed out as he leaned gently on Tweek.

Stan wasn't really listening to any of his friends. Instead he kept his eye on Brad and Janet, making sure neither of them tried to come over. He didn't even notice when Wendy sat down next to him.

"Hey Stan," she greeted, giving him a little nudge to get his attention. He started slightly and turned to her, blushing slightly.

"Oh hey Wendy," he returned the greeting.

She looked around the table for a moment, looking for someone. "Where's Kyle?" she asked, "I haven't seen him all day."

"Oh, he was really tired and wasn't feeling well, so Kenny and I took him back to the cabin," Stan told her. It was another reason why he was watching Brad. He didn't want him to try to hurt his friend while he was vulnerable.

"Poor Kyle! I hope he feels better tomorrow," Wendy sighed, "It's kind of… different without him."

Stan opened his mouth to agree, but he was interrupted by a slurring Cartman. "Poor Kyle! I wish he was here right now!" he moaned, "It's too bad he had to go up to the Pearly gates!"

"(Um, Cartman? Kyle's not dead. He's just asleep,)" Kenny pointed.

"Oh Kyle! Why did I ever mock you?" Cartman wailed, clearly not listening. Kenny rolled his eyes and sighed heavily.

I'm gonna end this chapter here. It's short, but I want to get it out there to you. Plus anymore and I feel like it'll go off the rails. We'll jump to the next day in the next chapter. We're getting close to the end, folks! I have to think of how to do that. Anyway, please leave a comment and stay safe and healthy!
