So for anyone who still somehow remembers this fic, you've probably been expecting this. But as of now, Flames is discontinued.

I'm so sorry. I started this fic all the way back in 2017, as an ONESHOT. But I forgot to write that down in the summary so when people began asking for more, I didn't think: 'Guess I'll just add that into the summary!' Nope. I thought: 'Welp. Lets just write an entire story! It can't be that hard!'

It is. It is that hard.

So anyway, right from the get go I was never really interested in writing this story. But people liked it so I just wrote a little every now and then. This was a really, really bad idea. Not only were the chapters absolutely awful, but it only brought more people to follow the story, which in turn added more pressure to finish it, even though I hated what I was writing with a passion. It actually came to push me away from Blue Exorcist entirely.

Which is why I'm trying to warn people now. Do not do what I did. It was dumb.

Now that all this is over- I'm hoping to get back into writing. My writing style has changed a lot; instead of just word-vomiting all over the page I'm actually taking the time to plot chapters and stories. Everything is more detailed now, too.

I have also started writing a short collection of 14 oneshots, detailing Rin's life from birth up until True Cross Academy. So you have that to look forward to if not this. I'm hoping to post them over the course of October, but we'll see what happens.

Once again, I apologise for everything that has happened. I was very young when I joined this site on my original account and I believe it has helped me mature a lot, teaching me a few things that I don't believe I'd have learned until far later otherwise. I am very grateful to those who have helped me along the way, as well as to Critics United- who have had far too many run ins with my bratty child self, explaining basic knowledge. '/: I
