-Hachiman's POV-

Popularity is the most important aspect of life for students nowadays. These students would strive to be the most well-known and most appreciated students in their schools.

But did popularity have a positive effect on students today?

Certainly, if a person were popular now or maybe back in their high school days, he would have probably said yes. But, did popularity have more positive or negative aspects? Popular people claimed to be happier, less depressed, and had more fun than ordinary people. Most would probably agree with that statement, but they did not realize that popularity was not easy to obtain, and it had a negative effect on a person's character as well.

Therefore, the search for popularity limited a student's personal growth. Granted, if a student was popular, high school could be the most exciting years of his life, but popularity also decimated his personal character along the way. In order to be popular, a person must create a facade to please his peers.

Yes, it was nice to be liked, and if a person could accomplish that without hurting his own personal character and at the same time stay within the confines of morality, it would be fine. That would be nice, would it not?

Too bad reality didn't work that way. Time and time again, people were lowering their standards to please others simply for personal gain. With these facts, it was easy to see that popularity had a negative effect on a person's character. Furthermore, people would take advantage of a person if he were popular. If he owned the most formidable material items such as clothes, cars, jewelry, etc., people would be drawn to him simply because of what he has, like moths to a flame. It was then difficult to tell which friends were indeed genuine, and which "friends" were simply basking in the glow.

Popularity. Everyone wants it, but not everyone has it. Source: me, Hikigaya Hachiman.

Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't a person who was desperately clinging to the hopes of becoming "popular". Whatever that meant, anyway. Nor were I one of those who hated them and wanted them gone. Permanently.

After all, what would life be without the endless drama and gossip freely handed to us from the "populars"? They were a constant source of amusement with their frivolous attitude towards schoolwork and ridiculous fashion statements. In fact, hand me over a bucket of popcorn and we could have an interactive film, the perfect form of entertainment. And though people like you and I (assuming we are alike) ridicule them, they never appeared to mind. Maybe they believed that our ridiculing was admiration? Some of them were certainly stupid enough to believe so.

But I'm just stating the stereotypes we all knew, and yet as much as we knew that stereotyping people was a wrong act, based on what I've witnessed all my life the "popular" people were only living up to the rumors.

Now, the real question here was why? Because, in my experience, no one actually liked these so-called "populars". Of course, there was always a small percentage of people that were truly nice and likable and were thus popular because of that. They would talk to the "nerds" or the "emos", or whoever else in a nice and non-ironic, non-sarcastic manner. However, the majority weren't popular because of their niceness but because of completely something else. Was it because they're pretty? Maybe. Confident? Possibly. More likely, it was a combination of different things.

Looks, confidence and attitude.

Perhaps I was being harsh. But why were these traits the ones that made people popular? Being nice just wasn't enough these days, it barely even played a part in it. Even being confident alone couldn't make you popular anymore. Then again, if the notion of popular was to change to many people's ideals, life may not work out well, or school life at the least. Thinking about the bigger picture, not the massive one of the whole universe but the one about your whole life, and it all seemed pretty irrelevant because, it's been said before and I'll say it again: once you're out of school and into the real world none of these little things would matter. Well, that's what they said—I personally had no idea what adulthood held.

As I was doing my normal jogging routine I noticed some kind of anomaly. Normally I would just be ignored or avoided, but this morning was different. How so, you asked me? Some people were looking at my direction or were staring at me, at first I thought they were just looking at something near me but when more people came to the park I observed them as I passed them by their eyes were following my movement.

Call me crazy, paranoid or whatever you wanted, but why were they doing that? I knew my eyes attracted attention but was it that bad? And why only now when I had been doing this routine for quite some time now, why would this happen? I didn't want this to ruin my mood so I ignored it for now, as I was finishing up my last lap I saw two girls, one was sitting on the ground while her friend was massaging her foot. I slowly approached them and asked.

"Miss, is your friend hurt? Anything I can do to help?" They both looked my way and once they heard me their eyes widened for a moment before one of them answered me.

"My name is Tohsaka Rin, and my friend here is Mitsuzuri Ayako. As you can see, she seems to have sprained her foot."

"Hikigaya Hachiman, nice to meet the two of you."

"Likewise Hikigaya-kun, and it's no big deal. Look, I can walk just fine." Mitsuzuri-san got up and tried to walk, but as soon as she stepped using her injured foot it immediately gave away. It was good her friend caught her before she hit the ground to worsen her injury.

"Mitsuzuri-san, you shouldn't push yourself." The two girls once again looked at me, making me feel a bit unnerved. "You should sit for a while and rest your foot instead of forcing yourself to walk. If it really is sprained you'll just make worse."

"Ayako, listen to him. You'll just hurt yourself more so let us help you."

"It's really no big Tohsaka, Hikigaya-kun."

Ah, she sure was stubborn, reminded me of a certain someone. She was about to try walking again but before she could do I decided to stop her.

"Excuse me, and sorry for doing this Mitsuzuri-san." I approached her and swept her off her feet, carrying her bridal style. Both of them were shocked from what I did and as they were still speechless I looked around the area for a place where she could sit and rest for a while. I saw some benches nearby and rushed off to its direction, laying her down gently on them as her friend sat beside her.

"Do you mind if I take off your shoe so I can check the damage on your foot? She seemed hesitant and looked at her friend for advice.

"Come on Ayako let him help you." Tohsaka-san said.

"Okay, okay… Go ahead." I nodded and gently untied her shoe from her foot, and when I pulled off her sock I saw that her injury wasn't that bad, although she did sprain her foot and it was swelling slightly. Once I had confirmed her injury I searched around for a vending machine to buy bottle of cold water. Once I bought one I returned to the two girls and opened it I gently to pour its chilly contents on her foot.

"Your foot is going to be fine Mitzusuri-san, it's just a sprain so you just need to apply some ice packs later to it and be sure to rest up so the swelling will go down."

"Thanks for helping her out Hikigaya-kun. I swear if you hadn't helped out, Ayako would have probably hurt herself more."

"T-Tohsaka, I'm not that stupid!" She defended as she blushed, we both just burst into laughter at her reaction.

"So, how much do we owe you?" I looked at them, confused.

"Owe me? For what?"

"Well, you went and got bottled water to help my friend here, so at least let me pay you for that."

"Nah, no need to do that. I did that to help her."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yeah, don't sweat it. So, is your foot feeling any better now, Mitzusuri-san?"

"You can just call me Ayako, and yes it feels way better now thanks to you."

"O-okay then, A-Ayako… Do the two of you live near this area?"

"Yes, we're just one bus ride away from here. It would take us around fifteen to twenty minutes to get home."

"Okay, so Ayako-san do you think you can walk from here to the bus stop?"

"I think I can do that at least." She then put back on her sock and shoe on her injured foot and tried to walk. Taking a couple of steps, she then stopped as she looked my way and said.

"Mind helping me walk to the bus station Tohsaka?"

Her friend got up and was about to help her when she approached me and asked.

"I'm sorry if I'm inconveniencing you with this Hikigaya-kun, but can you carry her again until we get to the bus station?"

"Fine by me, but… Why not just help your friend out?"

"Well, I'd like to but like you saw earlier she won't listen to me. So while you're carrying her you can remind her again to not push herself and just rest up."

I did see that Ayako-san was quite a stubborn one earlier when Tohsaka-san was stopping her from using her injured foot. I nodded and approached her friend with her.

"Ayako, I asked Hikigaya-kun to help us out one last time." She then grinned mischievously at her friend. She was confused at first as to why, but when I got behind her she looked back to her friend as panic returned to her face.

"W-w-wait! I-it's okay Hikigaya-kun, it doesn't hurt as much anymore s-so you can go now!'

"Sorry about this Ayako, but I think you should just let me help you." Before she could voice any more complaints I quickly yet carefully picked her up bridal style again. As we were walking towards the bus stop I reminded her of the things she should avoid doing in the meantime of her recovery.

"So will you let your friend here help you out later at your school so you won't make your foot worse?"

"Yes, I get it. I'll let Tohsaka help me walk later at school and when we go home."

"Fufufu, it seems Hikigaya-kun is good influence for you Ayako."

When we arrived at the bus stop I gently laid her down on the sheltered bench and waited for a bus to arrive.

"Say, Hikigaya-kun."

"Hmm? What is it?"

"Thanks for helping me out earlier, also can I… g-get your email address? Or Line ID or something…" I was confused on the sudden request so I had to ask.

"No need to thank me, it was simply the right thing to do. But what would you need those for?"

"Well, you helped me out this time, so if you ever need help with something you can just call or text me. I-if that's okay with you?"

So she wanted to return the favor, perhaps not wanting to remain indebted to me. Well I didn't really mind it, she seemed like a good person so I agreed to her request. As we were about to exchange our contact info Tohsaka-san also asked if she could get mine as well.

Two girls' info in one day. That's setting a new personal record there, Hachiman. Congratulations. Achievement unlocked: from Loner to Riajuu

I sent them mine and I in return got theirs. After that a bus finally arrived so they said their goodbyes and boarded the vehicle. Once seated inside Ayako waved at me, I just smiled and waved back at her.

As the bus left, I headed straight home because Mother said she wanted me to do something for her. I wonder what it was?

We didn't have training sessions for today because of yesterday so it was good for me to recover my strength.

-Yumiko's POV-

As I arrived at our class room my eyes searched for a certain loner, I wonder where he was? He was usually here at around this time, I wanted to see his reaction to the video I sent him yesterday.

When I woke up earlier I went and checked to see how many people had seen it since yesterday and it had almost tripled in views count. He had become a sensation overnight, from one of the most hated people here in Sobu to one of the most liked. But I doubted everyone would like him since there were still people who viewed him in a negative light. Well, he never bothered to listen to other people's opinions about him anyway, so I guess the bottom-line was he just became a really famous loner?

I looked at the window and saw him passing through the school gates side-by-side with Kawasaki, and as expected he was still oblivious to his current fame. He just ignored the stares he was getting from the students in his surroundings.

'Hmm… During his morning routine and while he was on his way to school, did he attract the attention of some of the people around him,' I wondered. If he hasn't watched that video yet then he still didn't know what was really going on, maybe I'll ask him when he got here.

I walked on over to his seat and stood there waiting for him to arrive. I didn't have to wait for a long time since a few minutes later the door slid open and he entered the classroom. As soon as he saw he me quickly walked over to where I was.

"Good morning Hikigaya-kun." I greeted him, properly with his name this time..

"Morning Miura." He greeted me back.

"So, how has your day been so far?"

"Well, so far so good, but…" He trailed off, putting one hand on his chin as he pondered.

"But...?"

"Call me crazy or paranoid, but I think something was off."

"What do you mean Hikigaya-kun?

"Well I had this feeling that while I was on my morning run and while I was going to Sobu some people, mostly students. were staring at me? Well, staring harder than usual anyway."

"Really? How can you tell?" I sighed to myself. He still hasn't watched the video I sent him!

"How can I explain it? I just feel that some people were eyeing me for some reason, and I'm sure I saw some people looked at me suspiciously earlier when I got here."

Now I was genuinely curious on what his reaction would be once he found out about the video of him and how many views it had accumulated within the past few hours.

"I think I can answer all your questions Hikigaya-kun, but first let me ask you… Have you watched the video I sent you yesterday?"

"Oh, not yet. I haven't, but what is the video about?"

It was better if I just showed him the video so I took my phone out and clicked the link of the video. While we waited for it to load I pulled up the nearby chair and sat beside him.

"By the way Miura."

I paused the video as it buffered and looked at him. He was rustling for something through his bag and after a moment he found and pulled it out.

"Here. My mother made these as an apology for what she did yesterday to you." He then handed me a small, clear plastic bag with lots of cookies.

"She really shouldn't have went out of her way to make these, I deserved what she did yesterday.

"You should just take them. They're pretty good actually, and she probably won't stop until you accept her gift."

"O-okay then Hikigaya-kun, if you say so. Please give her my thanks for these." He promptly nodded. With that out of the way we started to watch the video on my phone.

I was curious on what reactions he would have while we watched the video, but to my dismay he just watched it silently with a poker face. When the the video about him ended he only asked if we could read some of the comments on it. Some people were surprised about his performance in the video and praised him, some were surprised about how Hayato was beaten in record time by his mother, not all the comments were positive as we could read a few who just criticized him based on his eyes and some even said terrible things about him.

"So what do you think? Becoming an overnight sensation on the internet, how do you feel about it?" He looked at the ceiling, placing a finger on his chin as he pondered, even closing his eyes and breathing in and out slowly.

"Being famous is giving me a headache." He nonchalantly responded as he opened his eyes once again, directing his gaze at me.

"Yeah, I feel you there. Everyone is always looking at your every move. They praise you if it's good and call you out you if it's bad." I recalled the time when I still wasn't called the Fire Queen of Sobu, those were better days unlike now.

"Yeah I guess, but that wasn't what I was talking about. What I meant was it's annoying in a sense that wherever I go people are bound to follow me."

"That does happen, but I'm sure it'll die down eventually. Maybe give it a week or two?" As he heard what I said he shrugged and sighed out aloud in annoyance.

"Sayonara, my sweet time alone here at school." I placed my hand on his shoulder as I tried to cheer him up.

"Well look on the brighter side Hikigaya-kun, at least people now like you, unlike in the past."

"I don't really give a single shred of care if people liked or hated me, but thanks for trying to cheer me up Miura. I appreciate it." He then gave me warm smile, like the ones he had when his mother was being protective of him, making me smile back.

"No problem~ So, do you want to hang out later during lunch?"

"I don't really see a reason not to."

"Then it's settled, see you later then!"

Just as I went back to my seat, Hiratsuka-sensei entered the classroom. As homeroom class begun, I felt the presence of someone staring at me. Looking around, I was a little surprised to find out it was Kawasaki. She kept switching her gaze back and forth between me and Hikigaya-kun until she finally focused on the discussion the teacher was having with us. I wasn't really interested in the topic so I was instead wondering on what was up with Kawasaki earlier.

I was just having a normal conversation with him, we weren't doing anything weird so why was she looking at me like that? The way she stared felt like she was telling me she didn't want me talking to Hikigaya-kun.

That's when a sudden realization hit me: she must like Hikigaya-kun! Based from what I've heard from Hina, she seemed to have taken a liking on the boy considering they were both loners to begin with, though a lot has changed in him within the past weeks. That look was the same one I sported when other girls approached and flirted with Hayato.

But to think she was jealous of me? She really didn't have to worry about anything, I had no intention of stealing him away from her and my heart strictly belonged to Hayato, but…

'Exactly how do I tell her that?'

She and I were like oil and water; we never agreed on anything and once we talked to each other we were almost sure to have an argument of some kind. Well, we did have something in common now since we have both befriended Hikigaya-kun, but compared to me she knew him a lot more than I do so maybe I could use that to start talking to her? Maybe we could even become friends…

I mean, there was no harm in trying, right?

-Lunch time-

As the day quickly passed by it was now lunch time, I stood up and went to where Hikigaya-kun was seated.

"So where do you want to have lunch?" I asked as I walked up to him.

"You aren't particularly picky with where we eat, right?"

"Anywhere is fine as long as it's not dirty, smells bad and it shouldn't be a place that is too hot to eat in."

"…O-okay then, I have the perfect place. You can also invite Hina if you want."

"You fine with that? I'm used to her, but you…"

"You mean her talking about her hobby? Yeah, it's no big deal. Besides, I sorta enjoy her company, despite her sudden outbursts about yaoi in public."

Following his suggestion I went over to Hina and asked if she wanted to join us for lunch. The bespectacled girl gleefully nodded and rushed to fetch her bento from her bag, tagging along behind me as I returned to Hikigaya-kun who I noticed was talking with Kawasaki at the moment.

Turned out, he was inviting her to eat with us as well. What a lucky girl to have the boy you be the one inviting you to lunch! Surely you'd accept his offer, right?

But it seems I was wrong. To my surprise, she bowed apologetically and turned around before walking away and exiting the room.

"So you invited Kawasaki to have lunch with us?" I stepped out from the side, now that he was vacant. "Although it didn't go well."

"Yeah, I did invite her but she forgot her lunch. She said that one of her younger sisters was coming here right now to deliver her bento so she excused herself to meet her at the school gates."

I thought she got cold feet and chickened out on the last minute since the boy she likes invited her, but I guess I was wrong again, huh?

"So, where are we going again?"

"Please follow my lead ladies, it's this way." He playfully bowed down to us, acting like a butler as Hina and I followed suit.

After walking for a while we arrived at a less visited part of the building, the stairs behind the school. It had a good view of the soccer field—which reminded me of Hayato, but that's another thing—and it was a nice, cool spot where I could feel a small breeze blowing through the area.

He then set his handkerchief down on the first step of the stairs and took his seat. Both me and Hina imitated his actions and seated ourselves as well, I was on the left side while Hina was between us.

"So Hikigaya-kun, what can you say about your reputation from drastically changing overnight?" Hina asked him.

"Honestly I really don't like all the attention being given to me at the moment, it doesn't feel right in my opinion." He then pointed to some first years that were staring at him while they passed us.

"Normally other people will like the idea of being famous, why don't you like it then?"

"Yeah, other people do some crazy stuff in the hopes of getting acknowledged, and half of the time they do become famous albeit not in a positive way."

"To answer your questions, firstly I am not classified under the category that you girls call "normal people" who do enjoy such attention. I am a bona fide loner so I spend most of my time by myself, and if I did have to I'd hang out with maybe a handful of others I'd consider friends."

Hina and I looked at each other as Hikigaya-kun resumed his explanation.

"Secondly, being famous has more cons than pros in my opinion. I never wanted, not even once in my entire life, to be famous. And that will never change for as long as I live, that's why this, whatever is happening to me right now, is very strange for me. I get it; I did a better job than Hayama, Mother really beat the shit out of him. N-no offense to your boy toy, Miura."

"None taken, Hikigaya-ku— Wait, what did you just say about him?!" I slightly glared at him. Instead of the usual shrinking from intimidation however, he smirked back at me.

"Well, technically Hikigaya-kun did do a better job than Hayato, so he has the right to say that Yumiko."

"Oh come on! Not you too, Hina?"

"Well, I'd prefer it if you and Hayama-kun did a different kind of beating, if you catch my drift Hikigaya-kun." Hina started to elbow his side.

"I do know what you mean Hina, so no thanks. I don't swing that way, a-although Totsuka might be a dealbreaker..."

As he said that Hina's nose burst into a fountain of blood. I got out some tissue and tried to get her under control, afterwards the three of us just tried to enjoy our lunch time together without any more BL hijinx.

Caren POV

"It feels good to be back at work!" I said out loud as I stretched while sitting on my chair in the clinic.

Yesterday was such an interesting and surprising day for all the people here. First, the way Hachiman showed off yesterday was such a surprise for all. Who would have known he was capable of such a feat? He fought really well with his mother, even though he lost in the end the way he looked so focused and serious when they were fighting was really cool. I could tell some of the girls even had their sights set on the ex-loner. Second, because of his performance yesterday he became an internet celebrity overnight. I saw a video about Sobu and the caption was rather interesting.

"A new prince appears at Sobu High!"

I was expecting the video to be about some boy who looked really handsome or charming, enough to make almost all the girls swoon when he looked at them or when he passed by.

But nope.

It wasn't, and it was someone I had never even considered a possibility of being him.

It was about Hachi to my surprise, and I don't think he'd like all the attention that people will give him because of that video. Even though he said that he was a full blown loner he still attracted the attention of people. He normally avoided all the attention of the people around him, but with that video from yesterday he won't be able to do that.

The attention will probably die down eventually, but he already made his presence felt, and when I looked at the comments section majority of them were positive like how they admired him or how good he was. Not all of them had good things to say, some just badmouthed him saying how his eyed were creepy and "reminiscent of a dead fish's."

I really wanted to reply to all those who said horrible things about him, but it would be best if I just I ignored them and closed the video. I just laughed at them it off, thinking to myself what would happen if Shiki-san ever saw all those negative comments.

From being the most hated person here at Sobu because of him sacrificing himself multiple times as the "best solution" now he was being admired by people, and not just from Sobu but from outside as well. I doubt all girls will consider him as boyfriend material because of his eyes and posture, but I think once they look past his physical appearance and got to know who Hachi really was I think they'll reconsider.

He had a ton of bad traits about him, but the good ones outweighed those. He was very good with kids despite his appearance, not many girls will find that appealing but for me that's a very good trait to have. He was very interesting in his own way and you won't ever get bored talking to him.

Heck, you can talk about almost any topic except sex.

I smiled as I recalled a memory of me teaching him about the human anatomy, I was really enjoying teasing him when our subject reached the topic of "the human reproductive system."

I was making some lewd gestures as we went through the subject and when we were done he thought I was finished. It was only the two of us since Saki-chan went out to buy a drink so I took advantage of the situation.

I got up from my seat while looking at him seductively and I swayed my hips, walking towards him. His pupils grew bigger as I was inching towards him and when I got close enoughI sat on his lap and slowly my face approached his ears. When my lips were near them I slowly blowed, Hachi squirmed like the genuine virgin that he was from what I was doing. I wanted to tease him a bit more so I gently nibbled at his earlobe and as expected I got a good reaction from him. He was really blushing and he was breathing rather fast. So I decided to go in for the finishing blow.

"Say, wanna try doing it with me, Hachi? I won't mind if it's you, and don't worry it'll be our little secret."

I then licked my lips slowly as I waited for his reaction but as he was about to say something the door suddenly opened. There Saki-chan stood and the way she looked at me said she didn't like what I was doing earlier to Hachi. She was glaring me down, her eyes stuck on me the whole time she walked in the room like I was some weeping angel statue.

Was she pissed because I did all that to Hachi? Or was she pissed because it wasn't her that got to do all that to him? I didn't even notice when she sat down in front of us as I was still on Hachi's lap. I better do something to change this atmosphere here so I got off Hachiman and a wonderful idea quickly came to my mind.

"That was a ratherpleasurable experience, Hachi. Want to sit on his lap to feel the same, Saki-chan?"

Upon hearing my offer she blushed ear to ear while maintaining her menacing glare.

"No, thank you. I prefer to sit on a chair."

Her reply was short and blunt, with coldness suiting her aloof image. There was however less intensity, as part of her rage might've turned into embarrassment.

"Really? That's toooooooo bad. I really enjoyed sitting on his lap, just wanted to share, y'know?" I then quickly leaned to whisper something in Saki-chan's ear.

"Don't worry, I won't steal him away from you. I just really like to tease him that's all." I then winked at her.

I was then brought back to reality as the sound of the first bell rang, signalling the end of the first class. I better do some of my paper work and see what medical supplies I needed to restock on.

-Lunch Time-

Hachiman: Caren-san I won't be able to have lunch with you this afternoon as I'll be having it with someone else. Sorry.

Caren: Ok no problem, enjoy your lunch~ Just swing by later after school.

Hachiman: Okay see you later.

So it seemed I'll be eating my lunch alone, no problem there for me. And he'll be having lunch with Hina-chan and that girl… what was her name again? If I remember correctlyt her name was Miura Yumiko?

Once she walked through the door I could already tell that she had an attitude, but from the way she looked and her interactions with Hachi and Hina-chan it seemed she only showed that side of her to who she considered as friends.

'I hope she and Hachi could become friends despite what happened in the past…'

I was about to eat my lunch alone when the door to the infirmary opened. Saki-chan came in and it looked like she was a little upset about something.

"What's the matter Saki-chan, you have something on your mind?" I asked, growing curious about her possible problem.

"Ah, afternoon Caren-san, well there is something… it's something about…"

"Something about Hachi?"

"Yeah." She nodded as her cheeks blushed a little. Honestly, this girl could be really cute sometimes.

"Well… I got a strange feeling that girls were staring at him for some reason. Some looked at him like they admired him and I'm sure I saw one earlier that look at him like he was a piece of meat. She even licked her lips after Hachiman and I passed her by."

"I take it you haven't watched the video about him yesterday yet?" She looked at me, confused.

"What video? Can you show me Caren-san?"

I took out my phone and clicked on the link I had saved, we waited for a few seconds for the video to load so while we waited both of us started to eat. After we've watched the video I showed Saki-chan how many people have viewed that video, her eyes grew wide in amazement which soon became one of fear as she realized what was going on.

"Now you know why some girls were acting like that to him. And if I were you Saki-chan, you'd better make haste. He might just be taken away from you when you least expect it."

"I know Caren-san, but... what if he doesn't like me like the way I like him?"

"So it's okay with you if some girl out there gets him all to herself without putting up a fight?"

"O-of course not! B-b-but…" Her expression stiffened, but it was natural because of the situation in front of her. I kind of understood her, but she must do something if she really liked him. I can only push her in the right direction and give my support to what she will do, she'd have to pave the rest of the way by herself.

"Saki-chan, I get it you're scared to say that you like him because he might not like you like back. Rejection is everyone's nightmare. But it's better to try than never doing anything. If you don't tell him about your feelings and he gets a girlfriend, you'll really regret the fact that instead of the it being the two of you going out on dates and having fun like a couple, it'll be some other girl. You already had some rivals for him when he wasn't well-known, and with that video I think it's safe to say that the number of girls interested in him will significantly and definitely increase."

She was still lost in thought after what I said to her, she must have realized how bad the situation really was.

"Do you know what's the advantage you have over other girls Saki-chan?" She shook her head and waited for me to answer.

"He already considers you a friend, and that in itself is really good. Before you like someone you have to be friends with them first to get to know them, then that friendship can blossom into a romantic relationship with the right actions taken. The two of you are already friends so the only thing that you need to do is to get closer to him, make him see you as a 'woman'."

"Easier said than done Caren-san…"

Maybe I needed to give Saki-chan a much stronger confidence booster.

"To be honest the two of you will make a cute couple in my opinion." Upon hearing that her cheeks flushed a little and the gloomy, helpless atmosphere around her brightened up in an instant.

"D-do you r-really think so?"

"Yeah, in my opinion the two of you look really cute together."

Her tense shoulders loosened up as she straightened her slouch, smiling at me. That worked far better than I had expected.

"Thanks for that Caren-san." I smiled back at her.

"No problem Saki-chan. I hope the two of you get together, and the sooner the better."

"Then do you have any tips for me on how to get his attention, or how to appeal to him? You seem well-versed in having him at the palm of your hands."

"I do but… Are you really sure you want to listen to the advice I'll give you? Do you think you have what it takes?"

She looked at me with burning determination clearly seen in her eyes so there was no turning back, I had to teach her now. She then took out a small notebook from her pocket and flipped a few leaves, writing furiously while mumbling to herself. I giggled to myself at her eagerness to learn from me, sorry Hachi but I'll look forward to your reactions when Saki-chan makes some moves on you.

"Well then, are you ready for your first lesson on 'How To Make The Loner Fall For You'?"

"Yes Sensei! No- Yes, Master!" Saki-chan responded with resolve.

"Wonderful! Now then, here's what you need to do Saki-chan…"

A few minutes later...

"Thank you for giving me some tips Caren-san I'll use them once I see a chance on Hachiman."

"I wish you the best of luck Saki-chan."

The bell then rang signaling the end of lunch period as Saki returned to her room, I then resumed to read some of the documents on my desk and as I was finishing reading all of them one document caught my interest. I opened the folder and read what it was about.

"Hmmmm... So basically we'll be getting some students because a sister school of ours is renovating and repairing one of it's building. Not really a problem for me but it was in the memo sent for all the staff here so I hope we get some very interesting students."
