As everyone knows, the COVID-19 virus is no laughing manner and some people still think of this as a joke or something. I'm here to tell you that you need to keep clean and stay safe during this time in order for us to finally get rid of this menace once and for all. We all need to follow the 5 steps to keep ourselves safe!
Wash Your Hands Often
"Starscream, you've been in there for ten minutes! Some of us need to get clean too!"
Penny could only shake her head as the line for the only bathroom with a tub upstairs had a long line of bots and cons ready to get themselves cleaned. It had been a race to get to the bathroom first ever since they came home to clean off the germs they had accumulated at school. It was kinda funny seeing Megatron of all cons knocking on the door and getting increasingly angry. Optimus made sure the younger ones, them being Bee and Smokey, kept their distance from the ever growing angry tyrant. The others had given up trying to wait for the mech and had taken seats on the stairs to wait.
"Say what you want Megatron, but I will not be getting sick with this bird sounding virus! I am washing my digits twice as good to make sure they are sparkling clean!" Starscream yelled from the other side of the door.
"Star honey, you only need to wash for twenty seconds at the most. Singing a song helps if you can't remember." Penny pointed out, hoping this would convince the mech to open the door.
"Face it mom, he isn't opening the door." Arcee called down from the bottom step. "We could've hand sanitizer faster than waiting for him."
"It's a good thing she and Soundwave went out shopping for those cleaning items the other day." Bulkhead said, eliciting a smiley face from the stoic mech.
"Knockout and I made sure we had all the medicine we needed just in case she caught it." Ratchet said, getting a nod from Knockout.
Penny sighed as she slipped the key from over the doorframe and unlocked the door with an eye roll. Starscream was in the bathtub scrubbing himself with the brillo pad she kept for the dishes as various soaps littered the floor.
It took Optimus and Dreadwing to keep her from making her scream aloud.
Cough into your elbows
Izzy could feel it trying to come out.
What a pain it was to be home from school due to this illness that was going around! She was a social butterfly, making friends with everyone and anyone. Now she could barely make it out the front door without wearing her cute pink face mask and matching rubber gloves. Her mother took extra precautionary to make sure that her whole body was covered with some form of Lysol or hand sanitizer. Currently she was in her room, typing on her computer and doing some serious blogging while the Bot Bots watched from their place on her bed.
"Finally! I've finished my homework, did my daily blog post, and set up a video chat with Miss Penny next door!" Izzy pumped her fist. "I'd say that was a productive day!"
"Are we going to play that game now? The one with the ladders and slides?" Must Turd asked, pushing the box towards the edge of the bed.
"We have nothing else to do, bro. We might as well hangout at home until the video call." Duderoni said, opening the game box up.
Brock Head saw Izzy's face scrunch up. "Are you doing okay Izzy? Did you smell something unpleasant?" She turned her glare towards Angry Cheese. "Did you-?"
"I may be lactose intolerant, but I did not cut a big one this time!" The angry femme yelled, getting cheese all over the place.
Izzy knew she had to let it out, but she wanted to be courteous with it. Making a dabbing motion, she coughed loudly, making the Bots jump in surprise.
"Woah! That was a big cough!" Hawt Dawg exclaimed, calming down a bit. "Did you catch a cold or something?"
Gasping, Twerple Burple ran towards Izzy and hugged her leg. "Don't you are die on us! Who else is going to take care of us when you die!?"
"Your mom almost threw us out last time you left us alone. I do not want a repeat of that." Spud Muffin complained.
Izzy facepalmed to herself as the little bots panicked around her. She hoped this quarantine didn't last too long.
Don't touch your face
"Shockwave, when I told you to prevent yourself from touching your face, this wasn't what I had in mind."
Megara struggled against the duct tape that was tied around her hands and legs as she tried to get out of the bed. Last night, she informed the kids that she was working home for awhile. Steve had asked her why she was staying home the same time they were and she told them about the virus that was going around. In an frenzied panic, Gary and Kevin made sure to wipe down every countertop, every flat surface, even the carpeted floor to get rid of the virus. Steven told her to take her clothes off so that they could wash them in the laundry room. Shockwave was the only one not panicking, making Meg think that he was going to think rationally about the whole thing. To her surprise, she woke up with her arms and legs tied up along with a face mask on. At first she thought she was being kidnapped and immediately started struggling in fear. When she saw him and the Vehicon triplets walk into the room, she calmed down and got irritated instead.
"Apparently the virus likes to travel within contact of any open holes on your face. The most logical decision is to keep you from touching your face by binding your hands together." Shockwave informed her, placing a healthy breakfast they had made on her nightstand.
"Where did you even get the face mask? They're all sold out around the area!" Meg looked down at the floral design before her face paled. "Is this the piece I was working on for the Spring Fling Fashion Show?"
"Well since it got canceled, we figured you wouldn't need it anymore. Shockwave looked up how to make cloth mask online and we made you one!" Kevin said in a cute way.
"We hoped you would love it!" Gary chimed in.
"Well that was a sweet gesture for you all to do, you don't have to tie me up to prevent me from touching stuff. I can just sanitize my hands and wash my face." Meg said, struggling to get the tape off her legs. "Why do we have so much duct tape in this house?"
"I brought some from school since we wouldn't be coming back for awhile." Shockwave said, pulling out a roll of black tape.
"I'm going to ignore the fact that you stole from school if you to remove these bonds."
Practice social distancing
Galthea was frustrated by the fact that she would have to work from home for awhile. The company she worked for already had one confirmed case and didn't want anyone else catching it. Not that she would get that stupid virus, she never interacted with people outside her family. When she came into her condo later that day to find test tubes full of aloe vera and rubbing alcohol, she figured out pretty quickly who was behind all this.
"Ultra Magnus, Wheeljack, why is the entire house covered with clear liquid?" Her voice rung clear and true how tired she was as she kicked her heels off. The duo came into the room, but stood far enough away from each other and her, making her suspicious. "What's with the distance? You both usually hug me when I come home."
"Not until you take a bath and get those clothes off!" Ultra Magnus sprayed her with what she thought was cleaning spray. "Let's just say that you coming home from that disgusting workplace means we can't touch you until you take a decontamination bath!"
"What he said. About us staying a few feet from each other, we are practicing social distancing." Wheeljack said, helping Gal up from the couch wearing latex gloves as he did. "Now you go and take a bath before I use my new weapon of cleaning destruction on you."
Gal waved her hands in a surrendering motion. "My apologies, but I want to see this room sparkling clean by time I get out from the bath." Giving them the stink eye, she went into the bathroom.
Ultra Magnus leaned over towards Wheeljack. "Spray the door."
Just Stay Home
Regina relaxed on her long couch, her television on while Predaking snuggled under her arms. They had planned to binge watch a cooking show they had started weeks ago, but never got back to it. Since they couldn't go outside, they decided now was the perfect time to watch it now.
"I think I'm going to like this whole quarantine thing a lot." Regina said to a happy Predaking as he used his tail to cover them both with a blanket.
