Welcome to Chapter Ninety One. This one is short but I'm trying to back into the swing of things. I hope you like it. Special Shout out to GrimBliss who let me know I messed up when editing the story and posted the wrong chapter! Woops.

Sunday: June 15, 2014/ Monday Night Raw: June 16, 2014

"You're nothing with out me!" Dean heard Seth yell down at him as he laid on the mat out of it, due to a brutal choke slam that Kane had delivered out of nowhere. "Nothing! Do you hear me?" Seth chuckled. "And soon the whole world will realize that I'm the only reason they care about you and Roman. They will find out that everything the Shield has done was because of me!" Suddenly Seth's voice echoed around the arena loudly. "The Shield is nothing without me! Do you see this? I am the one who paved the way for ever success the Shield has had and will ever have. The Shield will always be riding my coat tails."

Angel sighed as she watched Dean pace back and forth in the hallway. The man was livid but that seemed to be a natural state of his since what happened and she knew that this DQ win and Seth's rant afterwards just made things worse.
"You know he's just trying to get under your skin, right?" Roman sighed form his spot across the hallway, leaning against a mess of metal.

Dean spun around so he could look at his best friend. "I know!" He grumbled. "I'm not that stupid, but I can't help it. It's fucking pisses me off." He ran his fingers through his hair. "You heard him out there, doesn't it piss you off that he's taking credit for everything we've ever done."

Roman looked down as he pursed his lips. "Yeah, it does piss me off, but the there nothing we can do about him expect show everything that he's wrong. Prove that The Shield doesn't need him." Roman stated.

"And how are we going to do that, Ro? He's the Architect and now he has all the power to do whatever he wants." He cracked his neck. "Hell, he has enough power now that I'm sure he could just snap his fingers and the upper management will just rewrite the history books for him."

"Hey, he'll lose his credibility if we kick his ass enough."

Angel watched as Dean's face twisted, his anger seemed to dull in an instant as he let out a sigh. "Would that really fix anything?" He asked his voice low. "Would it be worth it? Since Seth has already won."

"What the hell do you mean?" Roman looked baffled. "Seth hasn't won anything. This is only one fall in the war for us."

"Are you sure?" Dean raised a brow. "Think about it. Before the Shield used to stand for something. We would brag about how tight knit our brotherhood was, saying thinks like 'it would never end' and 'that no one could come between us'. We would talk about it in every god damn promo and now look at us!" He gestured around. "We don't stand for shit. We are two bitter, angry assholes who want to take out our revenge on the Authority. Seth wanted to end the Shield and he's done just that." Dean paused and his eyes widened slightly like he just realized something. "The Shield was done as soon as that chair hit your back, we were just too stupid to see it."

Angel's heart bleed as she listened to the man. She knew that she was partly the reason why he was thinking about this. Their little talk about what the future holds had him thinking like this. "Dean I wouldn't say you too stupid, I think you refused to see it." She gave them a small smile. "You both love the Shield, love what it stood for, loved the people apart of it, so you're forced yourself to hold on to it even though it was better to let go."

"Shit man, you sound like Galina." Roman cursed. "She's been trying to get me to realize the same thing. But just like you said I was refusing to see that anything was wrong. Though I don't know how much it has to do with how much I care about the Shield. I'm terrified to think about walking away from the Shield. It such a huge step that I don't know if I'm ready for."

Angel nodded. He was right it is a big step. To walk away from something that your used to. But they were already on their way to making it, even without either one realizing it. "I don't think its going to be as hard as you think."

Roman turned and looked at her like she had grown a second head. "Are you kidding me? We're going to have to reinvent ourselves from the bottom up, get new gear, a new entrance music. We also need to figure out if were going to be a tag team again or if were go on our own."

In all the time that she knew Roman, Angel had never seen him like this. He was normally cool, put together, and never with fear in his eyes. However, that was not the man in front of her, Roman was shuffling in his spot, fiddling with his vest as a look of uncertainty.

"I thought wrestlers change their gimmick all the time."

"They do." Roman nodded. "But I haven't had as much experience in that as most do. I only started wrestling in FCW, so I never had to go through the changes that most wrestlers do. In fact the change I've done was going from wrestling under my Samoan name to wresting as under my English name when I joined the Shield."

"We'll do baby steps." She smiled at him. "And Dean and I will be there every step of the way."

Roman chuckled as he shook his head. "How come the youngest one is the most mature one of us."

"I mean have you seen us?" Dean laughed. "A lunatic and the big dog. Of course, she would be the wise one."

Angel rolled her eyes. "It comes with the territory of being a manager."

"Does it now?" Dean picked.

"Of course." She stuck her nose up at him.

There was a shared chuckle before Roman once again leaned back. "Well then, where do we start with this whole thing?"

Angel took a deep breath; she was still trying to figure this out herself. "Well, I think first thing we need to do is leave here, grab a drink, and talk about this in a place that has comfier seats then a travel case." She said hopping down of off the case she was sitting on and rubbing her back.

"Agreed. I could take a beer right about now." Roman laughed.

"A beer?" Dean shook his head. "Nah, I want a whole bottle of whisky right about now."

"You do know that you have a live show tomorrow, right?"

"So?"

Rolling her eyes at the man, Angel started to get ready to leave. She noticed that the mood seemed to lift slightly as they got their bags together to head out. But she was pretty sure that it had to do with the promise of alcohol.

As they were heading out, she heard someone call her name. Turning around she saw Hank standing there in the middle of a small group of people. "Come here for a second." He said before turning back to the people around him.

"Hey, I'll be right back." She called to the boys before rushing over to Hank.

When she got up to the group of people, she heard Hank talking about something that was broken and needed sent to the warehouse. "We have to get a new one for Monday." He said before turning towards her. "Hey, I was wondering if you got my email.

She quickly pulled out her phone and saw that she did indeed had a new email. "Sorry, I hadn't looked."

"That's fine." He nodded. "I just wanted to make sure that you got it. I just sent over a few pieces that either been working on that I thought fit as well as a couple things I just quickly threw together in my hotel room, this weekend."

"I can't wait to listen to them." She smiled as she saw all the file attachments.

"The redone Shield theme is in that mix, too."

"Welp, I know what I'm gong to do as soon as if get back to the hotel."

Hank chuckled. "Let me know what you think about them."

"Oh, I will!" She hugged him. "You're the best."

As she made her way back to the boys, she felt giddy as she looked at the at her phone, she was so excited to listen to the songs and the titles that Hank gave them made it worse. Dean's a little crazy. Big Dog Barking, And I don't know just something I like, where among her favorite.

"Are you going to let us know what's got you so excited?" Dean asked as he raise a brow.

"Yep, once we pack up the car and get back to the hotel."

"Hotel? I thought we were going for drinks." Roman frowned.

"There's a distributor down the street. We'll go pick up something."

"Well if we're not going to a bar, we're going to have to grab snacks."

"Don't worry, I've already thought about that."

"Atta girl."

D.D.D

Dean looked around the room and gave a small chuckle. The placed looked like a frat party before anyone arrived. The table between him and Roman was a twelve pack of beer and random bags of chips and other snacks, all opened. On the end table next to him were a few bottle of liquor; whiskey, rum, and vodka as well as a two litter of coke, the ice bucket full, and a pack of red solo cups.

He wasn't sure how long Angel thought they were going to be up talking about this but apparently, she wanted to make sure they were as comfortable as possible.

"Alright boys." Angel called as she walked out of the bathroom, where she had just changed from her Shield gear into a pair of sweats and the red t-shirt realized was her favorite to sleep in. "It's time for a sit down, heart to heart between manager and client."

"Oh." He raised a brow. "That's new."

"Not really." She said. "We've done It before, I just never called it out." A small pout came to her face.

"Well, whatever you want to call it, we're all ears. Lay it on us." Roman said as he munched on the snacks.

Dean watched as Angel took a deep breath before crawling across the bed to plop down next to where he was resting his feet. He would never tell her but right now she didn't look like a manager that was about to have an important talk with her clients. Not at all. Not that he was complaining.

"Well, we are here because we're about to take a big step with our careers. Moving away from the Shield." Her eyes flickered between the two of them. "We have a long list of things we must discussed."

"What's first?" Roman wiped his hand off on his pants before reaching over and grabbing a beer.

"Well, first we need to figure out whether or not you two wanna stay a tag team."

Dean sighed as he turned towards Roman. Deciding to split up a tag team was always har. It was comfortable knowing that someone had your back. Became almost like a security blanket.

"That's the big question isn't it." Roman took a swig of his beer.

Angel nodded. "From what I see, you guys are already halfway to being singles competitors. You both want different things. Roman it seems like you have your sights on Randy Orton; while Dean…well I don't really think I need to say what you want."

He shrugged at her words like wanting to make an ex 'business' partners life a living hell was a normal career goal. In my line of work, it might be.

"On the other side, what does tag team division really have in store for you two. Other then the tag titles, which neither of you seem to care about right now." She said as she played with draw strings of her sweats, which was a strange disconnect from the serious words and tone that had been in her voice since she started to talk. "So, my personal opinion is that you two should take this time to work on your own goals, to be your own person. I know both of you want to prove that you don't need Seth, that what he says is wrong. And what better way then going off and succeeding on your own."

The air around the room chilled at the mention of Seth and Dean knew that everyone felt it. It was hard to miss.

"Damn Babygirl." Roman whistled. "That's some serious talking."

"Well it's a serious subject." She said simply. "I really want you guys to think about this from all angles."

Dean took a deep breath as he slid his feet off the bed and sighed as he snatched the Jack Daniels off the end table. "I think she's right, Ro." He said as he opened the bottle. As he prepared a Jack and Coke for himself, and a slightly less strong version for Angel, he heard Roman shuffling around his seat. "What about you?" He glanced at the man.

Roman huffed and took a huge sig of his drink. "It's hard to argue with this one." He said gesturing towards Angel. "I'll tell you that I'm not thrilled about the thought, but I mean I understand that it's the natural step."

A small smile came to Angel's face as she took the drink from Dean. "Just remember, nothing is permit and you can lend each other a hand when needed." She took a small sip.

Dean leaned back in his chair as he nursed on his drink. There wasn't anything else to say. Angel was right and both Roman and him new it. Which mean one thing for this second on, the Shield was gone, and Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns had joined the ranks of singles competition. Suddenly, a strange feeling fell over him, like the weight of the world was lifted from his shoulders.

"Well I guess it's time to show you guys, my little surprise." Angel said as she placed her drink on the end table before getting up and walking over to where she had placed her laptop bag.

Curiosity got a hold of him as she set back up on the bed this time with the computer on her lap. "So, this is what you've been running off and talking to Hank about?"

She nodded. "I asked him the other day if there was anything that I needed to do as a manager when a client wants to change up their gimmick. He gave me some information and even offered to help." She said before clicking something on her screen.

All of a sudden, an intro-less version of the Shield theme started to play. Dean cocked his head as he listened to it. The music sounded slightly different but at the same time it had an eerie familiar feeling to it, one that was almost uncanny valley feeling.

After a bit she paused it and looked at them for their reactions. "I asked him to do this, just in case but he almost made some sample entrance songs for the two of you if you were going to change over to being single competitors." She said pushing something else and a new song played loudly.

A.A.A

Slowly, Angel went down the list of songs that Hank had sent her listening to each one, waiting for some sort of reaction from the boys, either good or bad. Most of the songs were liked but were missing that spark of something special.

"Down to our last few here." She sighed as she clicked another. Roman shook his head as Dean took a drink. That's a no. She knew that these were just some examples, that Hank said he make more if needed, but she felt bad that none of them seemed to peek anyone's fancy.

"Damn it." Roman sighed.

"Don't worry, you don't have to pick one tonight."

"That's not the problem." He snapped the hair tie on his wrist. "I really do like one of them, but I don't think I can pick it."

"Why not?"

An almost bashful look came to the man's hard face. "It's the edited Shield one." Angel blinked as she scrolled to the top of her list and clicked on the one labeled 'Shield 2.0'. The music played and Roman's face seemed to twist into a mixture of feelings. "Yeah I really like that one."

"It's good." Dean nodded. "He messed with the bass or something, it has more of kick."

"Yeah but it's just the Shield's theme again, I thought our whole thing was getting away from that. But hearing this even though it's just a little different, is comforting."

Angel took a deep breath as she listened to the theme song. It was true they were trying to get away from the Shield. Baby steps. "But this isn't the Shield's theme." She said clearing her throat. "The Shield's theme starts with the intro, this doesn't."

"Angel, it's still the…"

"Nah." Dean shook her head. "It's not. She's right. This is different."

Roman rolled his eyes. "I know what the two of you are trying to do."

"I'm trying to help my clients pick a theme song that they like. And just because we're stepping away from the Shield, doesn't mean that everything has to change. Go with whatever is comfortable to you and we're work around it. I mean as you said this is newer to you then most."

A hard look appeared on Roman face as he down the rest of the beer he was drinking.

"You don't have to pick tonight?" She smiled at him.

"But then I'll have to still use the original Shield theme."

Angel shook her head. "Nah, we'll use the intro-less version. It separates you enough until you decided whether or not you want a new theme."

No one said anything until Roman shifted in his chair. "That'll work."

"One down!" Angel said excitedly.

Any excitement that Angel had felt before had worn off as she watched Dean sitting at her laptop, going over the list by himself. They had been working on this for hours and it was getting late, so late that Roman had left to go to bed.

As a curse came from the man as he pulled his earbuds out and threw his hands up in the air, Angel frowned. She had told him, that he could do the same thing that Roman was using the edited version of the Shield theme until they figured out what he wanted, but Dean seemed down determined to break away from the Shield completely.

"Nothing, huh?"

He shook his head.

"Do you think they still have your FCW theme that you could use for a bit."

"Even if they did, I would say no."

"That bad."

"Let's just say I didn't pick them." He sighed.

"Ah."

She got up from her spot on the bed as she walked over to Dean who had pushed her laptop onto the mess that was the leftover drinks and snacks. Leaning over the man who was running his fingers through his messy hair. She stopped the song that was playing and clicked out of the media player and shut the laptop down.

"Only a little longer." She told him as she placed a hand on his shoulder and made her way back to the bed.

After bit of sulking, Dean got up and joined her in the bed with a groan. He tossed his arm over his head and sunk into the mattress.

Guilt filled her as she grabbed her phone off the end table on her side and opened up her email to send one to Hank about them switching to the edited version of the Shield theme. Right before she clicked the compose button, she noticed she had a new email from Hank.

Looking at the time she realized that it literally came in less five minutes ago. Puzzled she clicked on it and saw another few attachment that had the same naming scheme. She looked them over and clicked one of them that just aid, 'I don't know but I like it'.

A guitar slide echoed from her phone, almost sounding like the revving of a car of motorcycle before braking into a heavy rock type thing before going back into the slide.

To her right she saw Dean peeking his head out from under his hand. "That's that?" He asked.

"Hank sent me a new email with a couple more options."

"Play them."

She started down the list watching Dean's reactions to each of them. He seemed to like this set more. When she finally played the last one, Dean tossed himself onto his side to face and tucked his arm under the pillow. "Play the first one again."

She did. They both just sat there and listened to until the full song was over. A smirk came to the man's face. "You like that one."

He nodded. "I love the start. It hits hard."

She played it again. "I agree." She looked down at him. "So, are we picking this one?"

"I think so."

Smile on her face, Angel sent Hank the email.

D.D.D

Dean breathed just the way he had been taught to all those years as he danced around with the punching bag. Something was different today, he couldn't put it into words but even he noticed that he had a certain bounce in his step. Though Angel would probably say that he always had it.

He just free her. Like he was finally free to be himself and do what he wanted. No more weight on his shoulders. Part of him wondered if it had to do with officially breaking away from the Shield. Not having the worry of his actions hurting his teammates. He felt like he did back in the indies.

"Someone's in a good mood today." Angel laughed as she a good berth around the punching bag.

Dean eyed her up and smirked. Her face was flush, beads of sweat dotted her skin as she took a swig of her water bottle. "I guess you could say that." He said stilling the bag so she could get closer.

"Well it's been a while since I've seen you working out with a smile on your face." She laughed as she moved up to beside him. "Oh!" Her eyes widened. "I guess I can figure out what's making you so happy."

Dean turned towards the bag again and smirked at the crumbled and damaged picture of Seth he had tapped up to the thing. "I had a few extra Shield pictures in my luggage for autographs…" He explained.

"I see."

"Wanna give it a go?" He raised a brow at her. "Works wonder of the pent up anger."

Angel took a deep breath and wiped her forehead. "I don't know."

"It's about time we get your training started back up."

She looked at the bag one more time. "Let me go get my gloves."

Dean watched as she made her way over where her bag rested against the wall of almost empty gym and let out a sigh as she bent down to rummage through it. The girl looked great in her new pair of workout shorts that her and Renee bought after their girl's brunch on Saturday. Apparently, Eva Marie pissed Angel off and she was in need of a little shopping therapy as Renee called it. Dean didn't know what Eva had said or done to Angel to piss her off but he knew it was bad if she let Renee pick out some clothes for her.

As she straightened up and made her way back to the bad, Dean tried to look like he was doing anything other than staring but judging by the blush on her face, she had caught him. "Give me a refresher."

Dean stepped back and let Angel take his spot. "Do you remember your stance?"

"Yeah." She nodded getting right into it.

"Good, move your leg back just a little bit." He said kicking her left leg. "That's better. Remember your combos?"

"Kind of."

"Jab, cross, squat." He said. Angel nodded and started the exercise. "That's good but let me adjust one thing." He said as he reached over her shoulder and stopped the bag.

"What? Was my stance off?"

"Nope." He said as untapped Seth's picture and moved it lower. "This was."

She looked over her shoulder at him and rolled her eyes before turning back to the bag.

A.A.A

Monday Night Raw was also the same yet different, but tonight something really seemed out of place, but she wasn't sure what it was. There was a strange aura around the three of them as they walked into the arena. It wasn't bad just strange.

"Let's go set up shop." Angel sighed as she looked around. Even if the Shield was gone, they were still not ones for the locker room just yet. Still too many enemies.

Finding a nice little spot out of the way they stashed their bags and started to get ready for the show. As Angel started to pull out her gear from her bag. She heard a groan come from the man behind her.

"Something wrong?" She asked, turning around to see Dean looking at his Shield vest.

"Realizing that I made a mistake saying no to my old trunks." He sighed.

"You didn't have them with you anyway." She said.

"Attention all Superstars!" A booming voice echoed through the hallway. "When the show starts off, we need all of you to be on the stage. The Authority has an announcement! Thanks in advance."

"An Announcement?" Roman questioned already getting into his gear. "What hell is that all about?"

"Do you care?" Dean asked.

"Not really, just weird that they want us out on the stage. And only the Superstars."

Angel nodded. It was strange to say the least. "So, do you guys think?"

"I've said it once, I'll say it main times. Fuck the Authority."

"Took the words right out of my mouth." Roman clapped Dean on the shoulder.

Trying to stop herself from smiling, Angel shook her head at the boys gave her back a stretch, that's when she noticed Hank coming down the hallway talking to someone over his radio.

She gave the man a way to get his attention and then wait for him to finish his convocation before he came over to them with a smile on his face. "Hey, guys!" The man said as he pulled his earpiece out.

"Hey, Hank." They all greeted the man.

"Hank, I wanted to thank you for helping us." Angel said as she grabbed the card that's she had Dean stop for on the way to the arena.

"Oh, you didn't have to do anything like that." He took the card. "It's my pleasure."

"It's the least I can do." She blushed.

Noise echoed form Hanks earpiece making him sigh. "Can't stay and chat, got lots to do, but once the show starts come and see me about what we talked about on Friday." He winked before popped the piece back in his ear and rushing off.

Suddenly, heavy arms were around her shoulders and she was pulled into a familiar broad chest. "Should I be worried about you and Hank?" Dean said with a playful tone.

"Not at all." She said looking back at him. "He told me to talk to him today about getting you a match to make up for what Seth did."

"Ah." Dean nodded. "Well I can deal with a little flirting if that means I can punch Seth in the face."

"Dean!" Angel smacked at him.

Skovko: I never liked Eva as a character so I thought she would be the best to kind of play villain.

Samcoo 12: I'm glad you're enjoying the story. I hope you like this update too! Oh yeah, catty girls are the worse.

Labinnacslove: We'll now I'm glad I picked Eva as the villain role for that. I was scared people would be mad because they liked her or something.

BrookeWorm3: You're so understanding! Dean will say it, someday. Won't tell you when but someday.

SilentMayhem: Hank is a sweetie! I will give him all the hugs and cookies. Oh Seth's going to get it in more ways then one. Unreachable worm, that's a new one for me. Lol

Canadice: Thank you for being understanding! More updates coming soon promise!

Sonia: I'm so glad that you're still like the story. I'm sorry about the wait. I hope it was worth it in some ways.
