Baka's note: And here it is, the epilogue of this 2 years long story!

Thank you all so much for reading and enjoy the ending!

Epilogue

A few months later, not even Lobotomy Corporation have been able to resist against the tragic wave of Despair that washed over the Planet, bringing it to its knees.

Like the rest of the world, no one in the Company saw it coming and it brought destruction to 99% of the Facilities in a matter of days. There was now only one Facility standing.

The Main Facility, hidden, and yet connected to every single facility around the globe by some unknown force, was the only one standing.

It was closed and inaccessible for a very long time and absolutely no employees have ever set foot in there.

Now, the survivors of the wave of Despair were regrouped there. They were… not many…

There was no more than 150 employees in the large room with a platform on one end for speeches from the administrators. And among this number, only 16 were Abnormality workers.

Connor looked at his four friends who survived with him: Armageddon who looked uninterested and emotionless with his wide eyes as usual, Galia still looked gloomy after Theodore's sacrifice, Lucas was hiding his expression behind his white mask but the trembling of his hands showed his feelings and Nina who was looking still pissed at what happened.

He was also very upset by the event that happened, but unfortunately all the information he had was that it originated from Hope's Peak…

He hoped that Naegi was alright.

But for now, they were all standing in front of the stage, waiting for Angela, the CEO's personal secretary to appear and explain what was going to happen now.

One minute later, a blue-haired woman with pale skin entered the room and went on stage. She was wearing a white lab coat on top of a black suit and red tie. Her hair was styled in one ponytail to the side and her eyes were closed for some reason.

She started speaking, even without a microphone, her voice managed to reach each and every single employee in the room.

"Ladies and gentlemen, as you all know by now, Lobotomy Corporation is on the brink of destruction…" she started, "And so is the world outside. Everything seems lost but I assure you that it isn't. Because that's exactly why Lobotomy Corporation was created: to save the world." she said in an emotionless voice, "We're now starting the Tree of Life Project."

Several employees looked at each other in confusion.

"I can't disclose any details about the project but just know that the energy we'll collect from the abnormalities are the key to success… But we also have to do 50 days successful collections in a row, without breaking… Or else we'll have to start over." she said with a mysterious smile.

Connor tilted his head to the side, how can you 'break' a chain of 50 successful days? He then noticed that a dozen people joined Angela on stage but they were in the darkness so he couldn't discern any details.

"Also, from now on, each Department will have a leader. I present you the Sephirahs." Angela nodded to the people in the shadow.

Ten people walked out of the darkness to stand near Angela, but one of them didn't follow the rest and stood in the dark.

Those new 'leaders' were a colorful bunch…

The leaders of the Upper Departments were two brunettes : one with blonde ends and was always wearing a notebook and the other with longer hair looked uneasy to be there; and two men: one with purple hair and wearing gloves, the other one had long green hair and looked ready to sleep at any time.

Then for the Middle Departments were a pair of children twins, a boy and a girl, with blonde hair and wearing strange white and brown dresses, the girl looked angry for some reason while the boy looked calm. Then there was a tall woman completely in red: red hair, red jumpsuit with a red jacket and she had big scars on her face. She looked extremely pissed and was throwing dark glares at another woman among the Sephirahs. Next there was a man in a blue jacket with blue hair who had a mug of coffee with the Lobotomy Corporation printed on it in his hand.

And finally for the Lower Departments there was only a woman in black with a smirk as she looked down on the employees (she was also the target from the red woman's glares) and a man in white who looked very old with his monocle and had a pocket watch in his hand at all times.

Connor didn't quite catch their names but he knew he'd get to know them better when they'll work together, also there was something… unnatural about them. When they walked… They sounded heavier than what they look, way heavier.

"I hope you'll work well under their leadership and the Administrator's orders." Angela said, "But I have some bad news too." she lowered her head, "After my calculations, I determined that surviving 50 successful consecutive days, is impossible in one go, we'll have to restart the cycle many times from scratch and for any of you to survive this long is impossible." she explained, with a smile despite everyone's worried expressions.

"That is why we have the Extend Program. All employees who got to level 4 had to sign a little note about it, now it's accessible for everyone because of the Tragedy. The Extend Machine is an Abnormality tool from another dimension like many other Abnormalities. Its functions…"

Angela paused, confusing the employees in front of her. She then smiled and her eyes opened to reveal yellow cold eyes that pierced every soul.

"Well… It's better showing than telling. You can come now." she called the shadow who now was about to reveal itself.

When the figure walked into the light, Connor and his fellow employees widened their eyes in shock and surprise, even Armageddon looked in complete confusion.

The figure was a woman of small size, with green hair styled in a little coconut on top with her left eye green and the right one blue.

In front of them, on top of the stage, was Pauline Frikss who should have died months ago.

"H-Hey guys," she smiled awkwardly, "I know, I'm as confused as you are… Pretty sure I died."

A year and a few months have passed since The Worst, Most Despair-inducing Incident in the History of Mankind, and WhiteNight was getting to the edge of its patience.

First with the whole 'Tree of Life' project that somehow forced it to go back to its Plague Doctor disguise, and then there was this whole calamity outside that was way worse than anticipated.

If the fake angel's vision was right, he'll be free in a few weeks.

Normally, WhiteNight was patient enough for that but after a whole year, Mankind was decreasing in numbers drastically every day.

Who was supposed to revere the angel if there's no more humans?

The Abnormality had a plan, it will change History a bit but the most important result will still remain the same: He'll be out.

The angel wrapped itself in its dozens of wings, a red light emanating from its body, just another normal action from the Abnormality anyone would say but what was different this time was that a small, very small orb appeared in front of the creature. So small that it was barely visible to the naked eye.

WhiteNight stared at its creation. A small push, that's all it was.

The orb suddenly flew upward, through the ceiling, through the underground facility. Flew upward all the way towards the surface.

The sky was red, the air polluted, the sea darkened, but it didn't matter for the small light, it turned towards the east, then departed at full speed towards its destination. In a matter of seconds, it reached the big Island, it reached the big city in ruins, it reached the only building holding its ground despite all the attacks and bombing outside its doors.

It reached Hope's Peak Academy.

The orb slowed down and floated through the wall, floated past the confused student looking for a way out of the shelter, it floated towards the little School Store where a young man was standing in front of a strange machine known as the 'MonoMono Machine'.

Before the young man reached for the lever, the orb flew inside its head.

"Come to me, my child…" he heard whispering around him.

"Uh?"

The brunette looked around in confusion. Maybe another trick of that stupid black and white bear…

He turned the lever and a small capsule came out of the machine. He opened it and found himself at a complete loss: a grey small box with a big red button with the words 'Escape Switch' printed on it.

"What shall I do… This is probably another cruel teasing from Monokuma…" Naegi Makoto sighed, but then looked at the switch again, "But... what if?"

If this… is the real deal, he just found a way out for everyone!

'If this switch is real, then… Maizono-san…'

Naegi took a deep breath and pressed the switch.

All it took was a little push of luck to set on the gears for the next step of WhiteNight's Apostle to come to the angel.

"Come to me, my Apostle…" The Abnormality said with glee.

Baka's note: OOH?! OPENING TO A SEQUEL?!

Well maybe, I have other stories to write before that, and if I do start writing the sequel, it'll be in an IF au and with ALL students of 78 joining Lobotomy.

See you soon and thanks again for reading!
