Eudora Addams was a world class witch and talented psychic, yet she had not predicted the heart of her dear son to be so completely captured by the meek sister of his betrothed. Gomez and Morticia had stunned her and her dearest friend Hester with their immediate dedication to one another. Eudora laughed to herself, the arranged marriage to Ophelia had been in Gomez's cards long before either of them were born. Hester and she would spend hours talking about how their future children would wed, at last cementing the familial bond the two felt for each other. After Gomez was born, Hester did everything in her power to ensure that her first child be a girl. When the day finally came that Gomez and Ophelia should meet, Eudora felt certain that her lothario son would instantly lust after the golden-haired beauty. However, the change Ophelia elicited from the charming, confident man that Gomez was made Eudora nervous. Suddenly, he was passive and depressed not anything like himself. Ophelia was overwhelming, her need for attention and affection almost suffocating in its endlessness. Saving them all was the soft-spoken and winsome child that was Morticia.

While their mothers were preparing for a long-awaited union, Morticia and Gomez were falling madly in love. Gomez's declaration and proposal to Morticia on the day he was supposed to marry Ophelia was shocking. Eudora would have never imagined that Hester's quiet young daughter would be the source of Gomez's greatest passion. She had gone unnoticed, still young and innocent, content in her isolation. The eyes that did not overlook the pale beauty, belonged to the smitten Gomez. He adored her entirely, at last finding a companion that was his absolute equal. Knowing that they could not be kept apart, their mothers agreed to the sudden change in bride.

It had only been a couple of days since their hasty marriage, yet it seemed as if Morticia always belonged in their home. She and Gomez were inseparable, Eudora would overhear their words of love and even stifled cries of passion throughout the house. It made her overjoyed to know that her son was happy and wholly consumed by love.

She was walking to the study when she saw their figures in her peripheral vision. Instinctively she covered herself, hiding out of their view yet peeking passed the doorway to see them. They were dancing. Gomez held Morticia tightly against him, both of their eyes were closed as they swayed to music only they could hear. His cheek was resting against the top of her head, allowing him to easily place soft kisses on her raven hair. Their steps were small, barely moving their bodies out of the confined section of the large Persian carpet that they had claimed as their own. A small smile was frozen on Morticia's face as she enjoyed the embrace of her amorous husband. Eudora's heart swelled as she watched her daughter in law press her body firmly against Gomez, her long fingers squeezing his hand and shoulder as if to reassure herself that he was still there. Gomez responded immediately to her little actions, his hand around her waist wrapping tighter around her.

Eudora quietly retreated to the kitchen where she elicited help from thing. She waited to hear the soft melody of the music she had told thing to put on the victrola, before once again entering the hallway. She glanced into the room as she passed, hoping the music was a welcomed intrusion to their private moment. To her delight, Gomez and Morticia were still locked in an intimate embrace, but now they were gazing into each other's eyes with Morticia's hand caressing the side of his face. Their gazes were intense, Gomez's eyes seemed completely dark as he stared into the sparking azure eyes that belonged to his darling wife. As Eudora looked away, she heard her son rapturously murmur "Cara Mia."
