As it was in the old ages, so it was in the new. The Guardians upheld their oath that night.

After gathering all the children and undoing the mind control, they made carriages to carry them in since they didn't know how to fly yet and headed back to the Island of Emotions where news of their rescue had reached their families and were waiting for them.

As they flew over, the past the green skinned ghost with lots of eyes who shouted in joy, "I foretold you so!"

They made strong the weak and mended the broken, and when the sun shone again that morning, all could see they had vanquished the evil.

They arrived back at the Island of Emotions and as the children climbed out of the carriages, they ran and embraced their families and the crowd cheered at the reunion and the victory of the Guardians, especially to Danny, Sam, Jazz, Tucker and Frostbite.

Danielle ran up and hugged Danny, who laughed and hugged her back as she cheered, "Danny! I knew you could do it."

He put her down and ruffled her head. She then grabbed his hand and walked him over to where Lunch Lady, Jack and Maddie were standing, even though they too were grieving over the loss of Dan, they were smiling proudly at Danny for defeating Pariah Dark.

"We're so proud of you." Maddie said as she hugged her son tight.

He hugged her back and then hugged his father as he said, "Dad, the stories are real."

"You made them real Danny." Jack said as he hugged him and continued to smile at him proudly.

The next day, everyone watched as Danny, Sam, Tucker, Jazz and Frostbite entered the Great Hall, where all the Guardians stood in a line and at the thrones were Clockwork and Pandora who were smiling at them.

The Guardians bowed as they walked past, all of them smiling in gratitude for their bravery. Even Jason smiled proudly at Danny.

With the peace restored, it was a time for celebration and recognition that our small band of ghosts who fate and a storm had blown into the Island, now stood before its King and Queen as young Guardians.

They stood in front of Clockwork and Pandora, in front of them were brand new armour, helmets and swords standing for each of them.

They raised their hands and took the oaf and then Clockwork announced, "For your incredible bravery in defeating the Pure Ones and the one known as Pariah Dark, I and my wife Pandora hereby announce all of you as Guardians!"

Everyone cheered for their heroes. Confetti was thrown and everyone celebrated and Danny smiled as he saw his little sister, Lunch Lady, and his parents cheering and smiling for him. He then turned and looked at his friends who were smiling beside him and ready to accept their new roles as Guardians.

Ready finally with all their hearts, they took that ancient oath: To mend those who are broken, to make strong the weak and without hesitation, vanquish the evil.

Back at the remains of the Pure Ones stronghold, a shadowy figure holding his arm up and covering an eye, looked at eyepatch as a red eye glowed in the night.

For as far as we know, Spectra escaped with the last few Pure Ones that had remained from the battle. And Dan? Well…Dan was never found.

"Should I stop?" Danny asked as he paused the story, where several children, including Danielle were standing listening with eager ears.

"What?! Please don't stop!" Youngblood begged, wanting to hear more.

Danny stood with Jazz, Frostbite, Sam and Tucker as they had told their story. Danny chuckled at their eagerness and said, "Oh, I wouldn't want to give anyone nightmares."

"Oh come on! There must be more!" Youngblood pleaded.

Jason chuckled as he came into the room and said, "Listen to them Danny. They want more stories, well come on you lot. Let's not disappoint them."

He tickled one of them children who laughed hysterically and then joined the others. He opened the doors to the balcony and felt the wind blowing outside.

He breathed in the fresh air and said, "There's a good storm brewing and if we're lucky, it'll be chock full of baggy wrinkles."

He took off into the night sky. Danny, Jazz, Sam, Tucker and Frostbite all smiled and then took off into the air, flying off into the night sky as the storm came over the ocean. Danny and his friends continued to smile as they followed their teacher.

They had set out on a journey to defeat the evil Pure Ones and save the Ghost Zone and would now and forever more continue to uphold their oath. Make strong the weak, mend the broken, and vanquish the evil, for they are the Guardians of the Ghost Zone!
