Always

*George's point of view*

I apparate to my flat after Krum's spell sent me into his glass door. I collapse in the living room and Fred runs over.

"What in the Mcgonagall happened to you?" Fred yelled, grabbing his wand and running over.

"No, stop I'm fine," I groan, holding my side.

"Oh, interesting, I guess the huge piece of glass STICKING OUT OF YOUR SIDE is just, "FINE"," Fred hand quoted, hitting my bloody hand away. He pulls the glass out.

"FUCKKKKKKKKK, FOR MERLIN SAKE," I yell. He waves his wand and heals my wound.

"So, guess things went great? Didn't think Hermione was a stabber," He says, wiping my blood from his hands.

"He proposed," I said furiously.

"Oh. Did you say yes?" He said calmly, wiping the blood from my eye.

"Fred!" I said angrily.

"I'm cleaning blood off you and gettin yelled at? How is this appropriate for your handsome nurse," Fred said throwing the glass away, waving his wand again for my other wounds.

"He had a ring," I said defeated.

"So, doesn't mean she said yes?" He retorted.

"I don't have a ring," I said.

"I know a guy," he quickly said.

"Fred, he had a ring," I sit down on the couch, defeated.

"Maybe it was from one of those Zonko gumball machines?"

"It wasn't," I said, pulling the ring from my pocket, handing it to him.

"Well, Hello Professional seeker," he laughs looking at the ring.

"Fred," I said, taking the ring back.

"I'm just saying, George. But, what is a ring without love behind it? A shiny rock," he says going to the kitchen to throw away the bloody rags.

"Krum knows," I said, putting the ring on the table.

"He knows?" Fred said, rushing back to me.

"He knows," I responded.

"Well, explains the Shakespeare stab," he points at the bloody cloth in my hand.

"Why are you so calm?" I say irritated.

"I don't know, I've been stabbed, not by a seeker, you win, but," he started to say.

"Who stabbed you?" I ask curiously.

"That's a story for another time but drunk goblins were involved," he says seriously.

"Always is," I said shaking my head.

Before he could say anything else, I see a blur and then Hermione is in our living room.

"Hi," Hermione said softly.

"Hi," I responded, lifting up but falling back down from pain.

"Give it a minute to heal git, it was a deep gash," Fred snapped lifting me up against the couch. He stops in front of Hermione and smiles at her. "So, Hermione.. how are things? You look radiant."

"Good Fred, how are things with you?" She asks annoyed.

"Oh, you know, pulling glass from my brother's side, making tea, the usual," he smiled.

"Are you okay?" She asks, pushing Fred out of the way.

"So, Hermione, kiss any boys that look like me lately?" Fred asked causally.

"Fred," I say to him, staring.

"Ok, i'll go make some tea," he frowned, jumping off he couch. I look back at Hermione and she smiles.

"Hi," she says again.

"Hi," I say back.

"Bloody hell do you guys know any other words," Fred sighed, running the faucet.

"Want to go to my room?" I ask, painfully getting up from the couch.

"Sure," she says, putting my arm around her. We walk into my bedroom and she sits me on my bed. She stands in front of me and looks down at me. Tears fill her eyes and she falls to her knees, laying her head on me. "I'm so sorry," she whimpers.

"Hermione, it's ok," I assure her, resting my hand on her back.

"Are you okay," she whimpers, making my heart break instantly.

"I'm fine, Fred healed me, it's ok," I said, lifting her head to face me. I lean down and kiss her softly own her forehead. "I'm sorry I hurt Krum," I said honestly with a hit of white lie.

"He'll be okay, he's with Harry now," she said.

"So, the ring?" I ask and before she answers she's grabs the letter on my bed.

"What is this?" She asked.

"Your letter," I responded.

"My letter?" She questioned confused.

"It's the letter you apparently sent 3 years ago. Fred had it," I said, not convinced it was her to begin with.

"I didn't write this," she said angrily.

"Okay, so who did?" I said, taking the letter back. She looks off into space for a moment and than something hit her.

"Krum," she answered.

"Why would he send this?" I asked confused.

"BECAUSE HE LOVES HER TOO YOU MORON," Fred yelled from the kitchen. "Also, could you guys speak up it's hard to ease drop when you're talking so soft." I walk over and slam my door.

"Krum wrote this? If he wrote this then maybe he destroyed my letters too," I said.

"What letters?" She asked, looking up at me.

"I had Ron deliver some letters, but he got attacked by something and I stopped sending him."

"Was there blood?" She asked curiously.

"Yes?" I said, feeling confused.

"Ron attacked Viktor, Viktor took the letters," she said angrily.

"He what?" I question furiously. I stand up from my bed wobble to the living room and grab my wand.

"What on earth are you doing?" She asks snapping my wand from me.

"I'm going to kill him the psychopath!" I snap.

"Flat chance," Fred laughed.

"Could you just keep your mouth shut for 5 minutes, please," Hermione snapped at Fred making him look down at his tea. I snatch the wand back from Hermione and before she could say anything I apparated to Krum's.

I collapse instantly to the ground in front of Krum's. My side was pulsing painfully, I didn't think this through. Hermione appears next to me, fumed with anger.

"NO, Hermione," he has ruined everything," I said, trying to stand.

"He didn't ruin anything. I said no, to the proposal," she said, sitting down in front of me.

"You said no?" I asked, relieved, resting back down on the ground.

"It's always been you George," she smiles at me.

"Why is it that just looking at you makes everything ok? Or you say one word and I'm putty in my body and mind?" I laugh, putting a strange of her hair behind her ear.

"Magic," she whispers.

"Kiss her already!" Fred yells from behind us on the porch with Harry.

"I'm going to kill him," I say, putting my head in my hand.

"I don't know he has a point, kiss her already," she whispers, turning my head towards her. I smile and lean it resting my lips on hers. Lost once again in her magic.

*Next day at The Burrow*

Hermione and I are sitting outside the Burrow, watching Fred and Harry fly around on brooms, catching fireflies. Things went ok yesterday thanks to Hermione. We had a chat when Krum woke up from the incident. He apologized and admitted to stealing the letters. He didn't mean to hurt Ron and I believed him. He did mean to hurt me but i respected his honestly because i also wanted to hurt him. He told Hermione that he used a spell on her letter to change what she said. She forgave him which is no surprise to me. He told her that love makes you do crazy things and we all can agree to that. He told her that he was fighting for her heart hoping to win it but, it'd hard to do that when it belongs to someone else. Even though he knew, he couldn't let her go and I understood that feeling. He would have been an idiot to give up, like I was so I can't blame the gorilla. She's special this one. I actually wanted to murder Krum the whole time he was talking, he tried to use Crucio on me for Merlin's sake! But in the end, Hermione's touch kept me sane.

"So, what did my letters say?" Hermione asked curiously, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Nothing much," I said vaguely. Pulling a wildflower from the garden behind me. She lays her head on my lap.

"Come on George," she pleaded, looking up at me with those innocent eyes. Before I could say anything Fred zoomed by, stepping on my hand crushing the flower.

"You idiot!" I said, shaking my hand, picking the deflated flower up. I look at the crushed flower and sigh to myself.

"What do you have there?" She says looking at the pitiful bud.

"Well, I wanted to give you a wildflower because I know how they are your favorite, but, Fred happened," I sigh. She smiles and pulls out her wand.

"Herbivicus," she whispered, sending a green light from her wand. The flower started to be reborn back into a beautiful wildflower.

"You're brilliant," I said smiling at her.

"Letters?" She persisted, smiling. I put the wild flower in her hair.

"To sum it all up, in the end, it's always you Hermione Granger," I smile, kissing her lips softly.

"Always?" Hermione asked.

"Always,"I whispered.
