The Fallen Hunter

Pyrrha took a deep breath before stepping out to the figure sitting by the cliff watching the sunset alone.

Her partner gently put his hand on her shoulder, and although it was a simple gesture, it had given her the courage to reach out to the grieving figure.

Silver, blue, amber and lilac looked at the tall girl, trying their best to give her an encouraging push.

The Amazonian slowly made her way to the end of the cliff as a cool breeze passed by, bringing all the maple leaves to a dance around her.

"Hey." She halted just behind the figure.

"Hey." Came the immediate, but lifeless reply.

A flock of birds suddenly flew passed them, surprising the tall girl as she let out a small yelp. They flew towards the sunset, forming a pattern that reminded everyone of a certain man.

Jaune looked down as he clenched his fists tight; Ruby was sobbing in her sister's arms while the Monochrome pair tried their best to fight the overflowing tears.

"Are you...do you need..." Pyrrha slurred with her cracked voice, unable to find a suitable sentence. In the end, she shook her head and sighed, feeling bad about messing the speech up. "I'm sorry. Is there anything I can do to help, Nora?"

"Just leave me alone." The ginger hugged her knees close to her chest; tears dripped from the pair of turquoise eyes uncontrollably.

The red-haired girl wanted to comfort her friend, but dared not touch that shaking body of hers. She was no longer the strong and cheerful hammer-wielder that would send the Grimm flying with a simple blow - she had become an empty shell ever since Ren's death two days ago.

Of course, Pyrrha – and all his close friends were grieving too, but the warrior couldn't possibly understand how the man's childhood friend slash possible lover felt. They had been together ever since; they went through life and death situation together and were always there to support one another.

When one side of the scale disappeared, the other side would fall into an endless darkness - and that was exactly Nora Valkyrie's situation.

Pyrrha didn't know if her friend would ever smile again, but she had made a decision to be there for her whenever she needed someone. She believed Nora would stand up even stronger than before, for she had this group of people who truly wished her happiness.

And as Ren said before his departure-

"Keep moving forward."
