Chapter 25
The Dream
June 4th, 1995
The Room of Requirement
The weeks before the third task, Harry could feel a buildup of tension within the ancient castle. Another shatter point upon the horizon.
It started the week following after the champions' meet with Bagman, Moody had come to Hogwarts on orders from Sirius and Amelia to give Harry instruction into spell deflection, something that wouldn't be taught in defense until their sixth or seventh year at Hogwarts. It was also something that was missed during both Moony and Padfoot's training while at Grimmauld Place.
"Now, we talked about the three Unforgivables in class at the beginning of the year. What are your options in dealing with them, Potter?" Moody barked out during their first meeting in the room of requirement. A room that the old Auror knew about from his time at Hogwarts.
"I assume dodging is one, and having a barrier to hide behind is another," Harry said. "Or get hit with it, although I would strongly recommend against the last one if you could help it."
Moody snorted, "Right you are, boy. Those are your 'three' options. However, did you know that you could conjure a solid barrier." He waved his wand in a circle over his left forearm and a large circular metal shield formed with armband attaching it to his arm. "The other thing, and it's bloody hard to do but you could do it, is summoning something from the ground around you to intercept the spells and then retaliate with a spell or attack of your own." The mad Auror punted his wand at Harry and something from out of view shot at Harry. Harry waved a hand and deflected the object to one side.
The old man grunted at Harry's response.
"So, that is what you are going to be doing for our lessons. You will either dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge my spells or you will summon an item into the path of the spell. You… will… not… cast any other spell." Moody showed Harry the modified summoning spell.
Harry nodded again and tried the spell a few times Moody had shown him. Mostly, Harry needed to focus on the item being summoned while point casting towards the oncoming spell that needed to be blocked.
Moody didn't even say ready when the first pair of spells were shot from his wand. Harry caught off guard, was forced to dodge towards the ground in a roll, only to use the Force to push himself into the air when the ground erupted in a massive explosion.
After that, Harry was barely able to collect his thoughts let alone retaliate. He began using the Force and the spell to pull a few objects from all around the room to block the many, many spells heading in his direction. Every object exploded when it was successful in intercepting the approaching spell.
They did this training until Mad-eye felt that Harry has had enough practice and left for the day. Which usually ended up being nearly four hours before Moody would stop casting. He didn't shoot anything but low powered stinging hexes and a spell that looked like balls of wet red or green paint depending if he wanted to simulate an unforgivable or not, red for the Cruciatus curse or green for the killing curse. However, a few times Harry swore he saw a conjured pipe wrench fly past his head during a few of his training sessions. Despite his use of the Force, Harry was hit by three red balls and only one green ball the first day and when Harry returned to his quarters for the day, he soaked in the hot tub for half an hour before turning in for the night with one of his girls.
~Force~
The week after that Harry had dubbed as hell week, Harry returned to training with the girls in their newly awoken Force abilities. He illustrated the different Force abilities from the telekinetic side of the Force (Push, Pull, and Levitation), to the physical side of the Force (Speed, Strength, and Jumping), and finally to the spiritual side (Meditation, Precognition, and Telepathy.)
This was just the beginning of their training and he had also begun to show them how they could better retain information in addition to Occlumency. To center themselves by feeling the Force both inside and outside of their body.
Daphne was the fastest to learn this skill due to previous training in the mind art from a magical sense. She then moved on with the other gifts that came with the Force.
Susan and Hermione followed shortly after and were working on their strengths and weaknesses. Susan was partial to Force Healing, and so Harry showed her a few of the techniques used that branch of the Force instructed to him by Cilghal
This week Harry would be introducing all of them to the Lightsaber forms and the pros and cons in combat. HK would be their beginning sparring partner as Harry was sometimes preoccupied with other projects and the upcoming third task.

June 15th, 1995
Mortis Temple in the uncharted region of space
When Harry arrived for his dream training for the night, he found himself in a ruined structure, on an unknown planet.
Unlike his other dreams, being a space station or structure that was lost to time and space, this one felt different in a way. He had a strange feeling that it was one that still existed within the greater universe. However, it was still lost like all of the others.
The temple in front of him was destroyed with boulders, broken pieces of fallen walls and pillars lying all around him. Below him was a ritual circle that reminded Harry of a Ying-Yang symbol, but… different. Where he stood, a stone medallion depicting a being of both light and dark as one infused into one being.
"Welcome," said the old man from behind him. Harry turned to see a man so, so very tall, with grey skin and a long beard like Dumbledore but not quite. The man did not look at Harry. No, he looked out towards the ritual symbol below him.
The vision hit him like a cricket bat.
He was standing in a graveyard at night. He could see his other self, attempting to move from where he stood but unable to move a muscle, not even to lower his outstretched left arm.
Then he saw a figure in a dark cloak, its hood pulled up covering the man's face. In the person's arm was a small bundle that looked to be a baby or something that looked like one at the very least.
In a clearing near a statue of the Angel of Death holding a Scythe
"Enough," and Harry was pulled from the vision.
They were now n the ritual circle now.
There, to his left was Darth Vader on the dark end of the circle, his black mask cut away showing one dark, burning orange eye.
While on the right side, a small boy who seems to be around the ages of nine or ten. The boy was wearing a light tan tunic and brown pants.
"Who are you? And what am I doing here?" Harry said to the old man. "What is it that you want from me?"
"For you to learn the truth about who you really are. One that you have known all along. One you may need to become to fulfill your destiny."
"Your ancestor decided to run away from his fate, dooming the universe to the cruelties of the Dark Side of the Force," the old man stated. "He chose to reject the prophecy to bring balance to the Force and becoming the One. His decision ended with the death of my Daughter, a Force of Life. This leads the Dark side to gain strength, too much. As I could not prevent the outcome, even with my death and the death of my Son. The lesson he took to bring Balance to the Force was not the one I wanted to give, for he chose to bring balance by bringing the Light Side of the Force to its knees in order to bring it into balance to that of the Dark," the old man stated imperiously.
"Prophecy and Fate are often the same as well as different. He was Fated to bring balance to the Force. However, the Jedi Master who believed this so much did not know what the true outcome would be. Because to bring true balance to the Force one would require the forces of light to be at the same level as the forces of darkness. To do this, of course, the darkness will need to be increased to the levels of the light or…"
"The light side of the Force must be reduced to that of the darkness," Harry said with sadness.
"Correct. Instead, he needs to know that Balance within one-self, is more important than the Balance of the Force as a whole. For as we do bad things in life, we do good as well. And by the end of the day, we pray that our good always outweighs the bad."
Harry turned to look at the two beings. 'Was this where he began his fall to the Dark Side of the Force?' Harry looked over to the man in black armor with those Sith eyes. "Why did you become… this?" Harry asked, gesturing to the man in armor.
"I had to do something, the vision I received would result in the death of my wife. I had to become stronger to save her. The Jedi were holding me back from gaining that power. It was they who betrayed me," the man snarled.
"You killed her, you monster!" the boy shouted at the top of his voice.
The man's eye turned an even darker orange and a red lightsaber blade activated in his right hand.
Harry jumped into the center circle between the two and force pushed the two away from each other to prevent the two from attacking one another. A few seconds later the old man appeared next to him.
"Anakin Skywalker was able to control my children and pass my test to prevent the death of his Master and his Apprentice. However, he would not stay and take my place."
"Again, why am I here?" Harry asked eyeing the old man weariedly. Harry also eyed the two versions of his great-grandfather. Seeing as they were not going to attack, Harry relaxed the Force push a bit.
"You too, have such a destiny. Your family is riddled with prophecies," said the elder.
"How do you mean?" asked the young Potter.
The man began to walk around Harry. "The Chosen One shall bring Balance to the Force, From nothing the One will come forth, a vessel of pure Force the Chosen One will be, more powerful than any Jedi or Sith there ever was or ever will be. The One will return the Force to its proper path. The Chosen One shall bring Balance to the Force."
"I have heard about the so-called Jedi Prophecy. My Great Grandfather was that One. He defeated the Sith," Harry said to the old man. "Anakin returned to the light and died a Jedi. His son restoring the Jedi Order."
"Did he?" the old man replied. Or did he halt the Dark Side advancement for a time."
Harry thought about it a moment and shook his head. The Sith still roamed the galaxy infecting good people into turning to the Dark. Jacen was one of them and countless others. Harry turned to face the old man once again, "What about me?" he growled.
The old man looked pained but said, "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."
"Like your ancestor, other beings meddled with the stated prophecy, of the Fates plans. Anakin was manipulated by Yoda and Emperor Palpatine. Yoda's decision to force Anakin into hiding his marriage of Senator Amidala from the Jedi Council. This lead to him unable to come to them when Darth Sidious planed the visions of Anakin's wife's death in his dreams."
"And Senator Palpatine wish to turn his Master project to his ends, turning him to the dark side and send him after his true enemy, the Jedi. In a way, this might have fulfilled the Prophecy if it wasn't for his children living. For there were two dark lords and two Jedi Masters that were still known.
"Always with your lineage. Always there are two. One sidelight, the other dark. The Skywalkers have always walked the path of the grey, Neither light nor dark… Balanced. Your earth's family is the same. Potters, Peverell… Blacks. Light… Grey… Dark. Tell me, child, have you truly thought about 'Why' Voldemort attacked the Potters?"
Harry was dumbstruck at the question.
The man continued his walk around Harry, "Tom was very close to complete take over of your ministry. He was at the height of his power… and he stopped what he was doing and went after…," he stopped in front and turned to Harry. "You."
A feeling cold began to creep up Harry's spine at the revelation.
Harry turned around and the scene changed. They were in a huge dark room and Harry was suddenly standing on a walking bridge. Below him, he noticed a softly glowing green light.
"You see if someone tells a lie and it is interpreted as truth. Could that not be the truth?"
"No," Harry answered.
"Tell me child, why?"
"Because at the base of that statement, it's still a lie."
The man nodded. "What if I told you the prophecy that I told you, the one that was about you, was, in fact… I lie?"
Harry's eyes grew wide and he was now drawing a blank.
"Albus Dumbledore had a plan to save the wizarding world from the growing power of your dark lord. He planned a meeting for a teacher in a field of study he didn't want, in a place outside of his control and in a drinking establishment his family owned. He failed to secure the room from eavesdroppers and just as a person of dark intent arrives. A prophecy was spoken."
The man turned to look a Harry once again, "A prophecy that foretells the downfall of the spy's master."
The man continued to walk around Harry, "He was caught of course," the man gestured with his hand, "and was thrown from the pub. No alteration of the mind and your kind are so well known for. Not even taking the spy into custody for questioning as he was already marked by his Master. The fact that this spy also knows and was infatuated by the mother whose prophecy was intended for in the first place meant nothing compared with his true loyalties… himself."
"Dumbledore knew Snape would be coming to seek a job interview for Potions as Slughorn was already talking about retirement. Albus timed it perfectly for it to happen. The headmaster knew that Tom would stop his bid for power and control to find this threat to his rule. And with the wording just right would lead Tom to hunt down one of two families. Knowing Tom as a half-blood, Albus knew he would go after the one closest to him as he could. And when Tom set his sights on you, the Fates and Magic turned the fake prophecy into truth."
Harry looked down and thought about what this man had revealed. In the back of his mind, Harry knew Dumbledore wasn't completely evil, not like Tom Riddle was. He didn't even think the headmaster was like Grindelwald. But he did do things that were unforgivable. Whether it for his own gains or as he likes to put it 'for the Greater Good' Harry might never understand. The story this man had laid out for him put his life into a new perspective.
He also now knew why he was as powerful as he was, magically at least. The bindings placed upon him when he was so young. The fragment that was imbedded within himself of Tom's fractured soul. Did Dumbledore know of Lily's heritage? Did Voldemort? The answer to both was No, Harry thought. The headmaster was only looking to distract the Dark Lord. Then, why didn't Dumbledore confront Tom before then, was Tom already too powerful to be confronted? Maybe.
Turning to look at the old man before him, Harry asked. "Despite me trying to intervene, Voldemort will be Resurrected, won't he?"
"Yes."
Harry's mind spun again into new avenues of thought.
"If he is resurrected, will he have the Force?" He so wanted it to be a no if for no other part in that he would still have an edge in fighting him.
"Yes."
Harry's head and heart fell at that answer.
"But,"
Harry's head shot up and stared at the man.
"He will not know how to utilize the Force. So, you will still have the power he knows not."
He had forgotten about that line, but wasn't the prophecy a lie?
'… the Fates and Magic turned the fake prophecy into truth.'
"When will Voldemort be resurrected?" Harry really wanted to know the answer to that question if he still had some time maybe he and the girls could come up with a plan to minimize his time and damage on the mortal-plane.
"You know when…"
There was only one task left in the tournament. It would be fitting, in a way. That at the height of Harry's success, would be his greatest defeat. "The cup." That lone statement from Harry signaled that the time of dreams was at an end. He would not be returning to these Force training lessons. Like his grandfather before him. He would confront the evil of this world…
As well as the evil within…
~Force~
The morning of the Third task, Harry awoke surrounded by the more than half-naked bodies of the four of the most beautiful girls in the world.
The night before the third task, he was cornered by each of his girls, Hermione, Daphne, Susan, and Arturia. After perhaps the best dinner he had in his life, cooked and delivered by the Potter elves, Winky and Tilly. They forgot about training, exams, or anyone outside of the core Potter Family.
They spent nearly four hours in the magically enlarged bed exploring and comforting the one man they each loved so much. The use of Snake/Dragon speech was liberally used and reciprocated those comforts in turn until neither participants were unsatisfied.
Harry eased his way out from two bodies with blonde hair. As he turned around and Harry gazed at four women that stole his breath away. Even as he stood there, he saw Hermione being held by Susan, his bushy friend's head sandwiched between two very nice-looking pillows. He remembered being buried in those two pillows last night while speaking sweet nothing into them.
After fifteen minutes, Harry was forced to retreat to the bathroom for his morning evolutions. Once complete, Harry moved to the quarter's kitchen and began making breakfast for his family, Tilly appeared and had helped out but never took the lead in the cooking. Tilly understanding that her master's desire to cook for his mates so did not intervene.
With the smell of breakfast, one by one, each of the girls, half-dressed moved on shaky and overused legs, sat at the island table in the kitchen to begin breaking their fast. Arturia, wearing simple white panties and halfway buttoned-up dress shirt, stolen from Harry's closet was the first out of the room, followed by the rest who wore different sets of their nightwear or Harry's dress shirts.
Harry began to plate out the different orders as per their request. The show the girls displayed were all the payment he needed. Arturia's outfit had Harry ready for another round of fun. But time was not on their side for the day.
Soon after the meal, there was a request to enter from the portrait for Professor McGonagall to enter. All the girls left for their bedrooms, Daphne pushing out her chest a bit sexily as she was got up and followed Arturia, who left the button shirt behind, and saunter to their room so they can properly get dressed for the day. Their walk giving even more reason to send the professor away and follow them back to their room.
With the girls getting ready, Harry summoned the shirt Arturia was wearing and dawned it before waving his hand and opening the entrance to the apartment.
Professor McGonagall came walking inside the apartment and sat down at the table where Hermione had just left.
"Care to join me in breakfast, Professor McGonagall?" Harry asked.
"Oh, of course, Mister Potter. Ah, I have whatever your having," she replied.
And Harry got to work making his head of house a nice southwestern omelet with country-style hash browns and orange juice.
While Harry was working, Minerva McGonagall watched in delight as Harry moved throughout the kitchen making her breakfast.
"Mister Potter, the champions will be congregating in the chamber off of the Hall after breakfast," she stated. "There, the champions' families are to meet and be able to walk around the grounds prior to watching the final task. This will be just a simple chance for you to greet them all."
"I understand," Harry said, sliding the omelet and some hash browns into a plate before sliding it in front of the Transfiguration Professor.
"I was also contacted by Amelia Bones about the extra security for the task. Is there anything I should know about?"
Harry let out a low sign before explaining Harry's vision and what it means for the third task. Sometime during their talk, Hermione, Daphne, and Susan all rush out of their rooms for their class exams that were being taken today.
After their meal, Harry escorted his Head of House to the door. "So, you understand now, why I needed to submit my name and the why's behind those other names coming out of the goblet, right?" Harry asked as he was showing her the way out of the apartment.
"Quite right, I will inform Flitwick to keep a vigil during tonight's task," Professor Minerva McGonagall replied.
"Thank you, Professor," Harry replied, and he closed the door.
After the door closed, a shimmer in the air dispelling a cloaking field. "Clarification: Your request to follow and eliminate hostile meatbags is still in force, Master?"
"That's correct HK. However, during the task, I wish for you to stay cloaked and monitor the stands and attendees for hostile intent."
"Statement: Understood, I am most eager to engage in some unadulterated violence. At your command, of course, Master."
"Remember, HK. The upgraded cloaking field I installed using Runes and Charm will automatically disengage after your attack,"
"Annoyed Statement: I feel I would be better served if you would've not installed that feature, Master."
"Sorry HK, I haven't figured out that glitch yet. Nonetheless, precede with operation 'Hidden Threat and Counterstrike."
"Statement: I am fulfilling my primary function, which is to facilitate communication between species and put an end to hostilities. At least I can fulfill the later." The next moment HK shimmered out of sight, the next moment the portrait opened and closed with no one visible to walk through it. Harry was very pleased with his upgrades to HK armor plating. Using Charms backed by Runes, HK was now stronger, lighter and able to become virtually invisible to anyone magical or otherwise.
Harry then turned to make the final inspections on his Jedi Armor and lightsabers. He still had an hour before his family was to arrive.

June 24th, 1995 6:23 pm.
The entrance of the third task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament
Harry stood there in the now open space before the maze that was built within the last month. Behind him, Moody stood with Remus and Sirius. In the stands that surrounded the open clearing were his family, Hermione, Susan, Daphne, and Arturia. Each cheering for both him and Fleur, their support of them despite what they all knew would happen soon, visible. They were not in the same location though but were spread out thought the houses and visitors. Each of the girls had their bracelets on and each keeping their newly trained Force senses open for any danger that might come about. They were not skilled enough to handle a Lightsaber with any degree of proficiency, so even though each had training in the blade for deflection. They would be relying more on their magical ability first.
Around the Maze, Madam Bones and a team of Hit wizards and Unspeakables were roaming the outer edges of the maze. One that made Harry feel strange while in the Unspeakable's presence, much like when Harry felt in the presence of Luna. Harry knew that he/she could feel the same as he did.
HK, with some new Rune work installed in his many panels allowed HK to engage in a much-improved version of stealth cloak, was walking around the Maze with the Unspeakables.
Off to one side of the stands was the Hogwarts's band playing an upbeat band song, one Harry hadn't heard before and couldn't recognize the title of. Behind them, Kaida was bobbing her head at the rhythm of the music, all the while keeping a lookout for any danger, as well. The stand was filled mostly with visitors probably from the ministry. He could see Fudge in a special visitor box with, he suppressed a sneer at Malfoy and Umbridge. The group's dissatisfactory at the difficulty in the DADA test was at a new low for the girls.
Behind Harry, the only opening to the maze opened up, revealing and long passageway which divided in separate directions.
Fleur and Madam Maxime came into the clearing, next and the remaining contingent of Beauxbatons students all rose and started to dance to the Hogwarts band in celebration of Fleur making it this far.
A minute later Krum arrived with the former Death Eater, Karkaroff. Harry could feel the hatred for himself pouring from both student and headmaster but paid it no mind, they would get their just deserts, in time.
Off to his right was Albus Dumbledore, Barty Crouch, and Ludo Bagman standing near a pedestal. High above the stands, on a platform, stood the caretaker, Filch and his cannon, ready to give the signal to start of the task for the champions.
Seeing that all of the Champions were now present, Bagman pointed his wand at his throat, muttered, "Sonorus," and his magically magnified voice echoed into the stands. This caused the band music to die off and go quiet.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the third and final task of the Triwizard Tournament is about to begin! Let me remind you how the points currently stand! In first place, with seventy-three points… Mr. Viktor Krum, of Durmstrang Institute!"
Viktor Krum double pumped both arms in the air acknowledging himself as the greatest champion so far. Just as cheers from both Durmstrang and Slytherin House cheered for the Professional Quidditch Player.
"In second place, with Seventy-two points… Mr. Harry Potter, of Hogwarts School!" Harry raised just one hand in the air and waved to everyone in attendance. The cheers and applause sent birds from the Forbidden Forest fluttering into the darkening sky.
"And in third place, with sixty-three points… Miss Fleur Delacour, of Beauxbatons Academy!" Fleur performed a perfect curtsy, more applause mostly from Beauxbatons Academy but also from Harry's family and friends.
Harry noticed the Weasley twins begging to walk around taking bets for the task and many of the students handing over their money and receiving a slip of parchment in return.
Dumbledore waved all the champions together for any final explanations about the task. He warned each of the champions about different obstacles that they should watch out for but also a warning then not to lose themselves to the maze.
With the sound of a cannon blast, Krum ran into the maze. He was halfway down the passageway before the hedge wall moved to block the view of the champion. By the time the opening reappeared, Krum had disappeared.
After five minutes, the cannon blast was heard once again. It was time for Harry to enter the maze…
He knew that it wasn't just creatures and traps within the maze he needed to look out for. There was a rather pissed off champion in the maze looking for revenge. Oh, and a Dark Lord at the finishing line, how wonderful.
~End Chapter Twenty-Five~
Author's Note: We are coming up at the end of this year at the start of the third and final year of this story. A Part one in a trio I'm looking at for this series.
It has been a long time since I've updated and I'm sorry for that as is this cliffy. In the next chapter, I wanted the task and the aftermath in one chapter. Also, I just couldn't get the meeting on Mortis Temple quite right. I rewrote that part at least ten times, I even tried deleting past it, but in the end, it is what it is. I didn't want Harry to receive the prophecy the normal way either Dumbledore giving it to him or using Bones or someone at the ministry *cough* unspeakable, to do it. Being an SW cross, I figured it would be a nice way to do it as well as mark an end of Harry's dream training.
I thought I might have 'Semblance of the Soul' out first but I'm in review and finishing the last bit of the chapter and should have that done in the next few weeks.
I thank you all for your reviews, favorites and follow this story. Your support for me and my stories have me buckling down sometimes on those weekends that I have little time to write and even less energy to review and often rewrite them. I do wish to have this story finished this year… or it's one of my goals for the year. So… Thank you for your time in reading my stories.
