Harry read the latest letter. He knew that there were people who believed that he was an attention seeking twat, but for someone to actually write about believing him was unbelievably comforting. All his years at Hogwarts and no one has ever looked beneath the surface. It seemed as if they took one glance at him and stuck by that decision. Even Ron and Hermione only saw certain aspects of him. They never saw the real him. They never saw the little boy who wanted to feel like he was something without it just being handed to him. They never saw the boy who worked hard, who had to dumb himself down so he wouldn't be punished for being better. They only ever saw the boy who found out about magic, the boy who wants to be accepted. But the thing is, Harry didn't want to be accepted. He wanted to be left alone.
Harry sighed as he prepared for the first task. Quickly dressing, he walked out of the Gryffindor dorm room and out of the common room. He ignored some of the stares he received from those who were supposed to always have his back.
'Fucking vultures,' Harry thought sourly, 'only ever appreciate someone when they are benefited. They are worse than Slytherins. At least with the Slytherins I can expect there to be an ulterior motive.'
Harry silently walked to the champions tent. He stopped for a second before he sighed and continued on. He cursed ever coming, or in the terms of everyone else, returning, to the wizarding world.
