Path of the Slayer
I walk the paths of humankind,
By some, I am revered.
While the demons of the wastes of Hell,
They look at me with fear.
…
I bear the name of their soldiers,
They call me a "marine."
They see me as their saviour,
But I care not for their dreams.
…
These people sought to take Hell's power,
Argent, sought to gain.
I see the fruits of their doomed quest,
Blood and fire reign.
…
I wonder if they saw my world,
Argent D'Nur, my home.
Taken by the hordes of Hell,
Left me fated to roam.
…
I know that this is not Man's world,
Just an outpost in their stars.
But already, pride has cost them,
Against demons, did not last.
…
So some may heap praise upon me,
But I care not if they pray.
I walk this world with but one reason,
To find demons to slay.
…
Their blood too will coat these halls,
Their most mighty thralls I'll best.
For until my world has been avenged,
My soul shall never rest.
