Marrinette could tell something about this scene was off, but she just couldn't quite put her finger on it. She had come to say goodbye to her husband before rushing off to work, but had paused when something felt off. Call it her Ladybug instincts or perhaps just an ability she'd developed after having been with Adrien Agrest for seven years. He had done something, she just couldn't figure out what.

There he sat at the table where he was finishing his breakfast. He had gotten up before her. That wasn't unusual, though the fact that he hadn't tried to wake her up with him was a little off from the norm. The thing that caught her attention the most was that smile. Part of her just wanted to walk out and ignore him to withhold the satisfaction of whatever rise he was trying to get out of her, but she just couldn't do it. Instead she chose to glare at her husband who was sitting across from where she stood at the end of the table. Looking proud of himself. So gosh darn proud of himself.

"What did you do?" She crossed her arms.

Adrien didn't answer, choosing instead to smirked up at her in a Chat Noir fashion that made her want to simultaneously kiss and smack him.

"You know what, I don't have time for this. I'm needed at the office."

She turned to leave and finally he spoke. "Be careful, My Lady. It's really muggy outside."

She froze at the exit to the dining room. Slowly, she turned back to him, where he still sat. Only now he was beaming. Marinette felt like she really should have seen this coming. It was only a matter of time. She felt like facepalming herself repeatedly for not expecting this. She took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Adrien. I swear, if I go outside and there are mugs in the yard I will throw you off the Eiffel Tower during our next patrol."

Her husband said nothing. Only sipped his coffee from a bowl.
