Literally own nothing! Enjoy.

Steve is sitting in the living room of Stark Tower on Christmas Eve, listening to happy Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate.

He's alone, but he doesn't mind it much at all. A fire burns in the fireplace, and he's comfortable in a baggy sweater (God, is he thankful for Nat. He can't believe she'd been able to find something baggy), sweats, and warm socks. It reminds him of the good old days, getting drunk with Bucky and reveling in old memories. Steve likes the quiet, too.

It's so silent, he actually jumps when someone walks in, expensive Italian shoes clicking down the floor towards him. Steve turns around to see Tony striding forward, suit jacket gone, left in dress pants, shoes, and a white button up.

"Why are you here?" Steve asks, "It's Christmas. You should be partying."

Tony nods slightly and walks around to the front of the couch, setting the bottle of white wine he was carrying on the coffee table.

"I had an epiphany," Tony announces, obviously a little tipsy..

"Which was?"

Tony begins to pace, not daring to look Steve in the eye, "Well, my sudden epiphany, as I was surrounded by rich millionaires who were all, including myself, way too old for the half naked young women dancing around them, I realized Christmas is a time to be with the people you love."

Steve raises an eyebrow, "Since when do you not love naked women?"

Tony stops pacing and glares, "Half naked! That's not even the point!" he exclaims, pacing again, "The point is, I realized that I've spent the last two years of my life fighting with this self-righteous, do-gooder asshole, and consequently…" Tony trails off, seemingly confused as to where he was going with this. He takes a deep breath and starts again, "Christmas is a time to be around the people you love, and Steve…. goddamnit you're the fucking love of my life."

Tony stops pacing as he says it, and Steve feels a whole new aura around the man. It's so honest, as genuine as those stupid Italian shoes, Steve actually finds it refreshing.

Grinning, Steve grabs Tony by the arm and pulls him down into his lap, kissing him heavily on the mouth, and things are good.
