Author's Note: Hey guys whats going on? Sorry for the year long hiatus. Had some things change in my personal life. I no longer have the luxery coming home to a home cooked meal so now I'm living on my own so I pretty much have to provide and feed myself. Also the entire past year I've been running around looking for a stable job so money has been a bit tight which also has led me to constantly readjusting my daily routine. But now things have looked up. Now I'm working in a stable job where I'm earning 20-30 dollars an hour. Haha, take that college. You are nothing but a scam! Anyway so I'm glad I finally got this chapter up. I know Beast VS Goliath isn't one of the most memorable Death Battles but at least its progress to getting to the more anticipated ones. I'm REALLY looking forward to working on the Darth Vader VS Doctor Doom episode. I've got some ideas that I would like to incorporate into that chapter/Death Battle. But until then, here is the chapter that you've all been waiting too long for.

Beast VS Goliath

After the amazing battle of super advanced armors, Ruby couldn't help but feel so amped from the spectacule of not only the fight but also learning about Tony Stark and Luthor to some extent and witnessing the feats that they were capable of despite being just mortal men. She was eager to use that pent up energy to help her and her team through another day at Beacon...maybe even through the rest of the week. WBY also felt the same way. It was still a shame that the episode before that one was still fresh in their minds. It was extremely sad seeing all the horrible things that the victor of the episode had to endure his entire life...literally. Ruby puts in the next episode and presses play on the remote and the episode begins.

(*Cues: Invader - Jim Johnston*)

"Alright team last episode for tonight. Hopefully this is a good one." The silver eyed leader said.

"Well the last episode kind of raised the bar pretty high." Yang said.

"Well even though this episode might not be able to follow up on the last episode, I'm pretty sure we'll enjoy it none the less." Weiss said after drinking a glass of milk for washing down the cake that she took from Ruby.

"Well to me, learning about new characters and their stories is just as interesting as the fight and the outcome so I'm eager to learn about who the next characters are." Blake said. The others nodded in agreement at that. The huntresses do enjoy the aspect learning about the characters and the world that they live in weather it has similarities or differs from their world when watching the Death Battles.

Intro of the episode begins and The all female team focus on the introduction.

Wiz: Some of the greatest heroes of all are shunned by the very people they continue to protect.

Boomstick: Basically, the worst deal ever.

RWBY perked up at this detail. It might be true that the test of being a great hero is choosing to continue to protect the people that don't even appreciate your efforts. You shouldn't be a hero for recognition and fame. You should be a hero to do the right thing. The young huntresses had a feeling that they might end up admiring these two characters despite their appearance.

Wiz: Like Beast, the blue genius of the X-Men.

Boomstick: And Goliath, the gargoyle who gives new meaning to the phrase "tough as stone."

"No doubt these two are heroic beings but the way this episode is set up, these men are more considered monsters than heroes by their people." Weiss said with a slight look of pity that the people of their worlds are judging these two because of their looks instead of their acts.

"You know what the sad thing is, Godzilla and Gamera might be considered heroes more than these two." Yang said.

"But thats just unfair for Beast and Goliath." Ruby spoke up. "Have they even done anything to hurt anybody? They shouldn't just be branded as monsters just because a person says so."

"It's just ridiculous how people who just look different are treated different." Blake said with a hard look as she eyes the two combatants with sorrow. If her and her fellow faunus are being ridiculed just for having a single animal trait, then the world must be tearing these two apart.

Boomstick: He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle.

Beast

(*Cues: X-Men (2000) - Main Theme*)

Wiz: Mutation. The key to evolution. The process is slow, normally taking thousands of years. but every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward.

Though the theory of evolution has been a discussed topic in the science community on Remnant, the girls never really took the time to have their thoughts linger on this certain subject. Especially since they've enrolled into Beacon. But now that it was brought up, they couldn't help but wonder how many ways evolution has impacted them as a species and where it puts them with the rest of the universe.

"Hmm, from what Wiz is saying, does that mean one day we can all become even more capable than what we are now?" Ruby asked while putting a finger on her chin in a thinking gesture.

"Actually, mutation doesn't always have a posivite effect on living beings. Instead of us evolving into something greater, we could end up devolving into mindless carnivores." Weiss said which gained her odd looks from her friends. "Just saying."

"Well, even if it does eventually happen, I'm pretty sure we'll meet our own ends way before then." Blake said. "Why think about it now?"

Boomstick: If that means we're all eventually going to transform into blue, hairy monkey men, count me out!

"Well I'm glad all this mutation and evolution mumbo jumbo has been kind to us so far." Yang said. "We're pretty and can kick butt when we have to."

"I bet Oobleck would say that being able to use our intelligence to create is a far better gift from evolution than being easy on the eyes though. And after seeing Tony Start and Lex Luthor and even Eggman and Wily, I can see why." Blake said. "But I guess having nice figures ain't bad."

"Don't forget Tails and Donatello!" Ruby bubbly said. "Buuuut still, would be nice if we could heal as fast as Deadpool, or be able to Fly like Superman and Goku and still look human." Ruby said.

"True, some characters and species do have their fare share of abilities that puts aura to shame." Weiss said. It was undeniable that certain characters were in a different league thanks to their physiology compared to humans and faunus with aura.

(*Cues: X-Men: Days of Future Past - Hope*)

Wiz: Feared by most normal people, mutants generally begin to show signs of their... uniqueness around puberty.

This was said as the girls were seeing young teenagers start to develop special abilities such as a boy (who the girls thought was cute) who miracuously shoots destructive energy beams from his eyes and another boy growing bone like claws from his fists which seem to cause him some pain though.

The RWBY as well as the Huntsmen on Remnant can relate to this as some of them also end up triggering their semblances during their early teenage years weather its through training or under certain circumstances.

"So these beings that Wiz is referring to are called mutants, huh?" Ruby said.

"People that are born to develop special abilities later on in their lives through genetics." Weiss said.

"Would...that make us mutants since we were born to have special abilities when we grow up?" Ruby asked tilting her head. Her team couldn't answer since there were a lot of factors to consider with that. Would they be considered mutants if they were in Beast's world? How come the term Mutant was never used to associate the Huntsmen or even the Faunus? It would be best to move past that and continue on watching.

Wiz: Not so for Hank McCoy.

Boomstick: Yeah, the instant he popped out, it was pretty clear that something was different about him. Namely, the giant monkey hands and feet. Ooh, that must've been rough on the way out! He better give dear old mom double the presents on Mother's Day!

RWBY weren't as surprised to see that happen to a newborn baby as some of the faunus on Remnant also experience these conditions on Remnant wether it was a tail or animal ears or even scales. Blake was told that her father always had large hands.

"If Hank was born here, his parents would not be as much shocked as they were to see Hank born with bigger hands and feet." Ruby said. She couldn't help but cooe from seeing Hank use his hands and feet to perform stunts and tricks no toddler should. The girls find it a bit cute as well.

"But it would still be shocking if two human parents end up having a faunus baby wouldn't it?" Weiss pointed out.

Blake actually had moments when she did certain things because of her feline urges when she was younger such as getting stuck in a tree or drinking from the milk carton despite her mother telling her several times not to do so. She thinks if Yang found out about that she would never hear the end of it...which wouldn't be the case cause Yang and Ruby have done it too obviously.

Wiz: Though Hank successfully hid his mutation from the world throughout his adolescent life, he was eventually discovered and shunned. Constantly harassed, and eventually kicked out of his own school, he was left to wallow in loneliness.

The huntresses now had a look of melancholy due to seeing Hank get shunned beacause of him being a mutant. They can understand why the boy mutant would hide his mutation like how Blake would hide her herself from being a faunus though it is mostly due to her not being hunted by fer former faction.

Boomstick: Until good old Wheels showed up,

The girls remembered the mentioned man on the wheelchair from the brief glimpse of him in the last episode who's name was Charles Xavier; and figured he was a high profile man. He must be a person that has made an impact on a lot of people's lives.

"Hey, its Charles Xavier, the guy that Tony kinda got killed to a degree." Blake said with raised eyebrows in surprise of learning that Hank is also from Marvel.

"Yep, yet again another Marvel character." Yang said.

"I had a feeling he would be an addition to one of the universes we've been seeing a lot lately." Weiss said.

Boomistick: and offered him a place on the mutant group known as the X-Men.

"The X-Men" RWBY perked up with curious looks at the name. The girls see that the X-Men are a group of people with special abilities. Three of these members that they have seen already with one of them being Rogue and the other two just a few seconds ago are the boy that shoots lasers from his eyes and the boy who had bone claws but is now a grown man at this point (The huntresses notice that the claws are now metal instead of bone but decided not to comment on it.) and also a woman with dark skin and white hair with glowing white eyes who is shooting lighting from her hands and many more. Some of them can pass themselves off as normal humans while some of them have certain physical traits that give away that they are mutants as well. The girls were a bit marveled of this team.

"Are these guys another superhero team like the Avengers?" Ruby asked with admiration.

"It looks so, they must also fight to protect the world." Weiss deduced with curiosity of learning more about the X-Men.

"But it seems unlike the Avengers, the X-Men are all mutants, like Hank is." Blake said.

"Guess they must understand eachother cause they all must have endured unjustfiable descrimination." Weiss said.

"Glad Hank didn't end up being alone." Ruby added jubilantely.

Boomstick: Hank took on the nickname that was previously used to degrade him, and transformed it into something new, his codename: The Beast.

(*Cues: X-Men (1992) Cartoon - Main Theme*)

Boomstick: As an X-Man, Beast became an integral member of this uncanny team.

BACKGROUND

Name: Henry "Hank" McCoy

Height: 5'11" / 1.8 m

Weight: 402 lbs / 182.3 kg

Six doctorates, including biophysics (RWBY was awed by his intellect)

Teacher at the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters (RWBY became interested of this school)

Member of the X-Men, the Avengers, the Defenders, & the Illuminati

Likes Shakespeare... a lot

Boomstick: His superhuman strength, speed, and durability let him go toe-to-toe with baddies like the immovable Blob and Kraven the Hunter!

Kraven the Hunter seemed like someone who is formidable in a fight and should not be taken likely. When RWBY saw the man referred to as the Blob, they couldn't help but recoil at his hideous appearance for a brief second. The name Blob indeed suits him.

"You know its kinda sad to see an eating disorder get out of control like that." Blake said referring to The Blob.

"At least his eating habit is not as chaotic as Kirby or Majin Buu's though." Weiss responded with a slight smirk.

"Damn, that Kraven guy is one hell of a fighter." Yang said in awe as said character was briefly shown overpowering Spiderman in a fight, dodging gunfire shots from Deadpool and even surviving/taking a punch from the Hulk himself to show how strong, fast & durable the Hunter is and that Hank is able to contend with someone like him. The huntresses also seemed impressed of his abilities.

"Thats cool and all but how did Beast end up all blue and hairy? He still looks normal when he became an X-Man and decided to call himself Beast." Ruby asked wondering how Hank McCoy became...well, the Beast that he is.

"They should be getting to that part Ruby. I doubt that will be something they will gloss over unlike the very earlier episodes." Weiss answered.

Wiz: But Beast was a genius, like yours truly, and quickly completed his doctoral studies. Eventually leaving the X-Men, he became a leading researcher in mutant genetics.

"Oh, so Hank is also a gifted intellect." Weiss said while nodding. "He must consider his research very imprtant for him to leave the only people who have accepted him for who he is to have more time on it."

Wiz: Desperate to "cure" the mutant phenomenon, Beast developed a serum, which he theorized would temporarily counteract the mutated genes in his body.

"Well that explains why he was so focused on his research." Blake said with a frown forming. If mutants and faunus are anything relatable, then Hank must have faced so much hate from society that he would do anything to blend in.

"Ahh, here we go again! Lets see what this serum ends up doing to Hank." Yang announced, her tone both amused and condescending.

"Yep, key word theorized." Weiss clarified as Hank is now injecting the serum into his mutated feet. The girls watch intently to see what is about to unfold with the mutant genetics researcher.

The scene now shows how Hank starts to transform into the combatant that he is now. After his transformation, the scientist is now turned into a beastly man with blue fur and skin all over his body, wolf like fangs, pointy ears and animalistic claws on his fingers and toes. He also grew a bit of muscle mass from the transformation as well.

Boomstick: Except, it kind of did the opposite. Poor guy, now he truly was a beast.

"Wow, so thats how he became blue and fury all over." Ruby said with a little bit of pitty for the scientist making his appearance even worse. "If it makes him feel any better, it kinda makes him look more...cuddly...right?" Ruby trying to her best to sound cheerful.

"Just goes to show, even smart people makes mistakes." Yang said.

Boomstick: His transformation wasn't all bad though, Fuzzy Beast could now lift over ten tons, punch through walls with ease and throw soldiers around like garbage.

"At least his transformation has made him stronger." Blake said.

Boomstick: Fast and agile enough to run over forty miles per hour, and jump over twenty five feet in the air and even run on walls and ceilings.

"Sounds like turning himself into a Beast actually has done a lot for him." Weiss said as how some good came out of this mistake.

ABILITIES

Genetic Atavism - Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, reflexes, dexterity, & senses

Enhanced Senses

Improved healing

Claws & fangs

Genius intellect

Strength increases when enraged

Wiz: He also had a wicked healing factor, which made him essentially bullet proof, but this was nerfed dramatically from healing instantaneously to over a couple of hours when Quasimodo's experiments turned him blue.

Boomstick: Despite this, his healing is still good enough to help Beast recover from slashes from Wolverine's claws and gunshot wounds and has been reletively fine afterwards.

Wiz: And like we've said before, Beast is an absolute genius and is one of the smartest men in the Marvel universe; being an expert in genetics, bio-chemestry and medicine. But is also highly skilled in physics, engineering and technology.

"Wow, its probably safe to say he could've advanced the science in the SDC a few years in a short time for us." Weiss complimented. She couldn't helped but be impressed how Beast was intelligent in several fields of science. "Just imagine how fast he could advance the science for the SDC."

Wiz: Even being able to cure the Legacy Virus, a man made disease that only effects mutants which would kill them.

This brought a bit of a shock to the huntresses with eyes wide in disbelief. 'How could someone hate mutants this much to create something like that?!' Blake thought with a cold glare. It made her think if anyone tried to create a virus that only effected faunus just to rid the world of them.

But RWBY also became amazed that Beast was able to cure this virus. "Beast is a real hero for curring that virus." Ruby said with a bit of a bright smile.

Boomstick: For a scientific genius, he never did quite figure out how to turn back to his old self. I mean, he's been able to turn into a cat-man, a horse-man, blue Kelsey Grammer, and even Sasquatch. Somehow. he always ends up as his classic, blue ape self.

Beast's appearance has seemed to have altered at different points in time which brought a bit of confusion to the girls. Though they admit, they did admit that they liked some versions of Beast more than the other.

Wiz: Now unable to hide in plain sight, Beast had little choice but to return to the X-Men as a member and teacher at the Xavier Institute.

"Maybe it was for the best that he went back to the X-Men." Weiss said with a bit of a forlorn expression. "That way he won't be facing any biased or prejudice assault from mutant haters."

"He also seem to accept that he is a Blue Fury Beast." Ruby said. "And so does the X-Men." The young reaper added with a determined tone.

"Yep, the X-Men seem like cool people after all. I actually can't wait to see more of these guys." Yang said with the others agreeing hoping to learn about the other members. They had a feeling they will see more of them.

A scene now plays where Beast is teaching in a room similar to the lecture halls in Beacon with dozens of students filling up the seats in the room. Beast is wearing a formal attire with a lab coat and glasses which is doing a good job of making his firm, curteous and impartial manner project more than his beastly savage appearance to not only Team RWBY but also the class that he is teaching.

Beast: As my research makes evident, it is possible to enhance the intelligence of Mullusca Cephalopoda, such as the squid, to the same level as that of the average human. Even a little...above average.

"Making a squid as smart as a human?" Weiss said. What the blue haired professor explained made her blink at the possibility of having a sea creature like the squid gain the intelligence of a human being.

"So far we've seen plenty of other animals as smart as a human so far." Blake said.

"Yeah but some of them were just born that way." Weiss said. "Here Beast is using scientific research to alter an animal's intelligence." Weiss said in a tone that was made out to be exciting.

Beast then recieves a call from his phone and answers it. Some words were exchanged and the professor hangs up and turns to his students.

Beast: I'm afraid I must leave early, so I'll hand you over to my new teaching assistant, Mr. Cephalopod.

Beast then exits the class and the students starts to giggles and then laughs out loud. This made the huntresses giggle as well as they thought Beast was trying to be funny for his students until the squid that Hank was referring that was inside a fish tank grabbed a microphone and began to speak thus silencing everyone.

Mr. Cephalopod: Settle down, everyone! Now where were we?

The class is now stunned in disbelief that the water creature was actually speaking in plain english to them. The girls on the couch were also having a moment of complete silence.

Mr. Cephalopod: Ah yes, the neurological aspects of cognitive intelligence, were there any questions?

Though RWBY have already seen a lot of crazy and insane things in all these Death Battles weather its a feat of raw power or something that just went against their understanding of fundamental logic. But intellectual feats such as making a squid smart enough to be a teacher at a school was still something to behold to them. "That, is actually quite an amazement." Weiss said.

"All these smart guys just keep on getting cooler and cooler with all this science magic stuff." Yang said.

"Can that squid come to our school and teach us too?!" Ruby exclaimed almost jumping out of her seat on the couch. "Ooh, maybe he can teach us what the ocean is like. Or what its like to have eight arms!"

"I just hope he doesn't become too self aware like with Skynet." Blake said recalling how Skynet created a revolution of machines. "It might also be a bad idea to give a creature enough intelligence to scheme and plan for an uprising."

"Oh come on Blake, Mr. Cephalopod doesn't look like a schemer, just look at him." Ruby cooed. "What can he do inside that tank?"

"Ruby, some times you might be a little too naive." Blake sighed.

"The way that squid talked, why does it sound so familar?" Weiss pondered.

(*Cues: Unknown Theme*)

The hosts now changed the subject to discussing Beast's capabilities in combat due to his altered mutation as the blue professor displays some amazing acrobat skills despite his proportionate bulk of a body builder.

Boomstick: Beast isn't just a genius. He's also a ridiculously strong fighter.

FEATS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Made a squid super intelligent

Boomstick: He has taken hits from Ghost Rider & Cyclops' optic blasts,

RWBY sees a character with a flaming skull for a head. They ended up having different reactions from the sight of him.

"Woah get a load of that guy! He looks awesome." Yang said with a grin as she sees the being in a biker like outfit and a flaming skull for a head while he rides a motorcycle... which not only did it have demonic looking designs but also has wheels that are made of fire! The blonde couldn't help but be marveled.

"I don't know Yang. He doesn't exactly look friendly at all" Blake feeling a sense of unease and trepidation clutching her heart as she stared at the hellish character. "Infact, he is another person you don't wanna ever cross."

"Hmm, that man that was shooting laser beams from his eyes' name is Cyclops huh." Weiss said eyeing the X-Men member with interest. "Why do I wanna learn more about him for some reason?"

"All these guys that we are seeing got cool names." Ruby said. "And maybe its because they are all unique in their own way that makes us wanna know who they are."

"The problem is Marvel might have too many characters for us to even count." Blake stated.

Boomstick: smashed open a tank with his bare fists; has enough striking power to hit the ground with a punch so hard, he created an earth-shattering shockwave

"Hmm, bet I can hit the ground harder than he can." Yang playfully challenged.

Boomstick: clap his hands and create shockwaves that can shatter concrete

Some huntsmen can also do that but only through the use of dust and semblances. Which makes Beast doing this ability more impressive since it is all done by his own physical power.

Boomstick: and lifted a solid gold oak tree!

"A solid gold oak tree?" Blake parroted with a raised eyebrow. "What idiot would have an oak tree made out of solid gold?"

"Maybe Beast and the X Men were fighting someone who has the power to turn things into gold or something." Ruby thought up cleverly.

"That's actually a high possibility of how that gold oak tree was even in their presence." Weisssaid.

"Wonder if that person can make a fortune doing that." Yang said.

Wiz: A cubic foot of gold weighs aproximately one ton. Comparing the diameter of the tree to Hank's height, it's reasonable to believe that this golden tree weighs at least sixty tons.

Boomstick: Or a "shitton", to be precise.

"I think its safe to say his accidental mutation turned out to be a blessing in disguise." Weiss said while being impressed with Beast's strength.

Wiz: But what Beast really shines has got to be his speed and agility making him one of the most agile characters in the Marvel Universe. He has dodged attacks from World War Hulk, missiles from Iron Man and has even cought Hawkeye's arrows with his toes.

The Girls actually couldn't help but be amazed by that last feat. That is something extremely difficult for even Huntsmen who can casually doge bullets. The only people who even could learn to become adept in that skill are Huntsmen who have speed and agility enhancing semblances.

"Woah how would he even think to catch an arrow with his toes instead of his hands like that?!" Ruby exclaimed as she and her team lift their feet to eye level and tries to mimic the movement of catching an arrow with their toes.

"I admit, hearing that feat would sound absurd but seeing it was actually intense." Weiss said as she looked at her own feet. "And to do it out of sheer reflex makes it even more impressive, it would be cheating if I used my time dilation to do the same."

"Way to go furball!" Yang said. "That was an awesome, feat." She tried to pun only for her friends to not even acknowledge it.

"I know, never thought anyone can be that nimble-footed." Blake commented. "I wonder if Sun would try to do the same thing with his tail after he sees this."

Boomstick: Wait, you mean the same guy who can shoot an arrow into a barrel of a gun; And Beast caught an arrow from him with his toes?! That is something you don't just do.

The character mentioned was seen shooting an arrow with enough accuracy to have it go directly into the barrel of a gun rendering it useless. The huntresses were as impressed by that kind of skill with a bow as much as when they saw Robocop disable Terminator's minigun by shooting six bullets, one for each barrel of the weapon as it was firing.

Boomstick: As if that wasn't enough, he can also tell his body to screw laws of physics and flip and pinball himself all over the place easily taking out multiple soldiers as he does it.

Beast is fighting a group of soldiers in what seems to be a hidden military bunker with various vehicles parked around as he is easily overwhelming the armed men. He uses his acrobatic skills and the hangar's layout to move from one part of the room to the other faster than the army men can even process before they get either tossed around or knocked out.

RWBY couldn't help but continuously move their heads around as they focus on his movements around the area. "This is the first time I've seen someone combine the elements of acrobatics, swiftness and savagery in his fighting." Blake said as she watches Beast throw a man into more guards. By the time the man turned projectile collided with the target, Beast has already dashed towards and tackled another guard who was a couple yards away.

Beast then grabs one of the military humvees and hurls it at some armed men that were standing on an elevated catwalk. The result of the collision had the catwalk collapse and the men fall and hit the floor hard.

"Okay seriously when would they run? Cause if I was the typical minion with a gun and no aura and I see a thing like that move like a blur, take out ten of my comrades in seconds and throw a truck across the room, I would without a doubt draw the line there and run like hell." Weiss said with a raised eyebrow and a tiny smile at how the remaining soldiers just keep pointlessly shooting at the hero/monster as if they are sure that it will work eventually. Ruby, Blake & Yang couldn't help but giggle at the logic the heiress pointed out.

Wiz: He is even able to use this skill against other agile fighters. Such as when he made Gambit look like a statue while Hank just leaped and dodged all around him.

Yang couldn't help but eye Gambit with interest and the usual gleam in her eye whenever she sees another hottie. "Ooooh, another hottie~" The yellow firecracker purred. His style of clothing along with his burning eyes and devil may care attitude just made him look like a badass which made him even more apealing to Yang.

"Woah cool, he is throwing cards that explode with some sort of energy!" Ruby said with awe at how he uses exploding cards. Weiss and Blake find it an odd choice to use cards as weapons like that. But they do admit he does make it look cool and flashy. Plus it could help get the jump on unsuspecting enemies. It's a shame that Beast is making him look bad as the card weilder is struggling to keep track of his movements.

Wiz: Despite his athletic skill and enormous strength, Beast is a pacifist, preferring diplomacy over fisticuffs. He is rarely eager to enter a fight.

The girls all had different opinions on that fact about Beast. Blake and Weiss actually liked this trait of Hank as it shows he is more than just a savage animal like being. He would listen to reason instead of escalate situations like most hot headed characters do. Ruby can understand and respect this habit as she would consider herself a pacifist, doing her best not to start trouble. Yang finds it a bit of a disappointment how he would rather try to avoid a fight. But still, seeing how he can still kick some major ass when he needs to more than makes up for it.

Wiz: In combat, he usually relies on his teammates to throw punches while he holds back to come up with game-winning strategies using his brilliant mind,

"Really? It doesn't seem like Hank often stays back and lets his friends do all the fighting." Weiss said sounding skeptical of the info of Beast not involving himself in fights when RWBY clearly see the beastly X-Men has been in plenty of fights with and without his team.

"Hey, there's Gambit again, and he just made that ball explode too." Ruby said seeing the weaponized card weilder and Hank fighting on the same side on this scene. He must be an X-Man too.

Wiz: like the time he figured out how to use Juggernaut's own bulk against him.

"Okay, they just contradicted themselves right there. They JUST said he often stays on the sidelines yet here he is taking on this...big...overmuscled guy...with a weird shaped helmet without hesitation." Weiss stated. RBY nodded at that assessment as it did sound like the host were giving off two conflicting infos about the character.

(*Cues: X-Men Legends - New York City (Quiet)*)

Beast: As Archimedes said when he discovered the principle of displacement... "Eureka!"

Boomstick: But when he gets angry, he'll enter a rage which makes him so uncontrollably fierce, he's a danger even to his closest friends, literally unleashing the beast within.

"That sounds like it wouldn't be very helpful in most situations." Weiss said. "Especially if he ends up attacking his own team like Boomstick just said." The heiress couldn't help but wonder if she would rather have Beast going berserk or Jaune during the first semester if she had to choose who to take to fight grimm with.

"Or if he's fighting someone who is smart enough to turn his rage into a huge weakness." Blake added noticing how Beast resorts to a brawler style and street fighting tactics when he is Angry.

"Wonder what it would take to calm him down." Ruby said as she put her finger on her lip as a thinking gesture

"Well, you can always just knock him out." Yang responded with a grin while hitting her fist into her palm.

"As much as I hate to agree with that, putting him down would be best if he ends up breaking and hurting innocent people on sight." Blake said.

Wiz: Beast's monstrous appearance remained a permanent part of his life. He was never truly accepted by society,

RWBY couldn't believe despite all of his efforts to do good for both humans & mutants, he is still regarded as an out cast by the public. It brought a bit of a bad feeling how Beast was still affected by his appearance.

"How is Beast not shown the respect he deserves by now, if he's been fighting along side heroes like Iron Man and Captain America, shouldn't it boost his standing to their statuses as world class heroes?" Blake bitterly argued at the logic. It doesn't make sense how Beast is being treated unfairly while the other heroes seen before are loved.

"At least he's not horrible looking as a certain comabatant that we've had the pleasure of meeting." Weiss said with a smug smile. "I bet when even Beasts looks at him, he feels great about himself." That actually helped lighten the mood as RBY agreed to the heiress' statement and giggled.

"Thats true, Beast isn't that bad looking. Again, I'd say he would make a cute plushy." Ruby said.

Wiz: and even had to leave the woman he loved for fear she would become a target of mutant haters.

Blake knew some faunus that were very few that were in a relationship with humans. When the White Fang became more violent and prejudice against humans, they either ended the relationship in fear that they would be targeted by White Fang members like Hank has with his girlfriend. While some of the other faunus ran away hith their loved ones in hopes of living peacefully without violence or hate or discrimination.

"Oh wow, mutant haters, Lets see if they would hate mutants more than my fists breaking their teeths." Yang growled how these so called mutant haters would even so much as even hurt a fellow human for being in a relationship with a mutant, let a lone someone like Hank.

Boomstick: But if he could have his way, he would spend his days hanging from the ceiling with a nice cup of tea, reading Shakespeare. But we don't always get what we want, so he'll have to settle for kickin' ass!

"Hahaha, this guy sounds like he could be your dad from another universe Blake." Yang teased.

"Yang, if our world is anything like Earth, their would be thousands of people that like reading books and drinking tea as their pass time." Blake argued her partner. "Though, I would admit, I would love to read a story and have tea with him."

Beast and his fellow X-Men stand before a laser grid.

Beast: "With faint heart, averted feet, and many a tear, in our opposed path to persevere." A minor poet for a minor obstacle.

Beast then jumps and swings on the overhead pipes to avoid touching the lasers.

Beast turned out to be an interesting character to RWBY and they deeply respect him for his choice of fighting to protect people despite how they treat him poorly. Blake truly admires him because he has faced the same harships as her and his fellow fanus among other things also is highly impressed with his ability. Weiss was really impressed with his intelligence even though he is only a notch below Tony Start but is still more impressive than anyone in Atlas. Ruby also looks up to him for doing the right thing no matter how much people look down at him for looking like a ferile creature. Yang liked all the things he can do in a fight.

Now the Huntresses get ready to learn about the next combatant.

Goliath

(*Cues: Gargoyles - Intro Theme*)

The analysis starts off with shots of human like silhouettes with wings sprouted from their backs flying around, scaling walls and ceilings and leaping great distances. All of these actions clearly indicate that these beings are not human. However the huntresses at the moment still could not see what kind of beings they are yet.

Wiz: One thousand years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age...of gargoyles.

With the revelation of the creatures' names, the girls are able to see what the gargoyles look like. The Gargoyles are humanoid beings with large bad-like leather wings, four claws on each hand and three large toes on their feet and lizard like tails. Each gargoyles has some unique features like different colored skin, physiques and facial structures.

RWBY were interested to learn about these magnificent creatures story as well as their capabilities. They have already figured that Beast's opponant will be one of these Gargoyles.

Boomstick: And badass cartoon intros!

Wiz: Stone by day, warriors by night, gargoyles used to be common throughout the world.

The huntresses were able to see at the break of dawn, the gargoyles turn into lifeless stone statues and remain in that position the entire day. At the end of the day when the sun goes down the horizon, the statues form cracks and the stone casing breaks apart and the gargoyles become alive again.

"Cool, just like creatures like those vampires & werewolfs and other beings that can only come out during the night." Yang compared. Though technically werewolfs only come out during a full moon, it was obvious what she means.

"Thats, interesting." Weiss said. "Were they just born that way when they first came into existance?"

"But, wouldn't that be a sad thing for them?" Ruby asked. "If they turn to stone during the day, doesn't that mean they never get to see what goes on during the day?" That statement did bring a little sorrow if the Gargoyles can never even see the sun or else they will turn to stone.

Blake started to feel her cat instincts act up a bit for a brief second but was able to will herself to remain calm. Then she gave her two cents "It seems that these Gargoyles are being of supernatural."

"That would make sense." Weiss responded.

Wiz: Like the stone statues they inspired, gargoyles were known as protectors. Guarding their home and those inside were always their top priority.

Boomstick: It's not every day your garden statue is also your top-billed bodyguard, otherwise, I'd have a shitload more lawn gnomes!

"You know, me and Yang once got our Dad a garden statue for fathers day one time." Ruby said. "Turns out our dad is afraid of frogs for some reason." The little reaper nervously chuckled.

"Yeah, it was a good thing we kept the reciept, that is why we just gave him gift cards from that point on." Yang said.

"I do admit, it would be cool if the statues that my family have decorated around the manor back home can come to life and protect the place too." Weiss said.

Wiz: In the year 994 A.D., a clan of gargoyles formed a symbiotic relationship with the humans of a Scottish castle. Using their superhuman strength, keen senses, and warrior spirit, the gargoyles defended the castle from invaders at night.

RWBY sees that the gargoyles lived during the medievel era. Various scenes show that the beastly creatures aid their human allies in repelling the enemy invaders from their castle. At first glance they might seem like they are as savage and hostile as the grimm but with how they are willing to form an alliance with humans, the huntresses, mostly Ruby and Yang were already believing how cool these gargoyles are.

Wiz: In return, their human allies would watch over them during the day, when they are most vulnerable, as gargoyles turn to solid stone in daylight.

"This would no doubt make another fascinating story and fairy tail to tell as a bedtime story." Weiss said seeing how it sounds so inspiring how man and beast would rely on each other for protection and survival. Its a shame that humanity and the grimm will never have that kind of relationship.

Boomstick: The gargoyles were lead by Goliath,

The girls now see who the other combatant of this episode is, Goliath. What makes his appearance differ from the rest of the gargoyles is that he is tall with a muscular build, purple skin, long black hair, pointy ears and two tiny horns protruding from his forhead. His only clothing consists of a loincloth with a black belt and a gold buckle.

Boomstick: a creature with a voice so sexy, it makes humans turn to stone. If you know what I'm sayin'.

Blake and Yang chuckled while Weiss just simply rolled her eyes at the innuendo and Ruby just gave a blank stare.

Goliath: You are trespassing.

The girls had to admit that Goliaths voice does radiate strength, calm and a headstrong demeanor, it already tells RWBY that Goliath is more than willing to fight if he needs to. "Yep, you definately don't wanna pick a fight with that guy if you're just a normal person." Yang says.

(*Cues: Gargolyes - Suite 1 *)

Wiz: Unfortunately, due to their beastly appearance, Goliath's clan eventually faced unjust prejudice from the very humans under their protection.

Goliath and one of his fellow gargoyle walk into the dining hall of the castle where a feast is taking place.

Princess (Katherine): We are most seriously displeased to allow beasts in the dining hall.

A Nobleman (Magus): These are unnatural creatures. No good can come from associating with them.

The huntresses couldn't help but frown upon the nobles that decide to look down on Goliath, talking like him and his clan are beneath them. "Bitch they're the reason why your damn royal ass is even still living in a castle instead of gods know what would've happen if those invaders took you over." Yang retorted.

"I don't see you guys lifting a finger to help fight for your kingdom." Weiss added. "Glad I didn't turn out like those fools." The heiress was glad she strifed to become better instead of continuing to live at home in Atlas.

Boomstick: If that wasn't bad enough, Goliath was betrayed by his closest human friend, causing nearly his entire clan to be smashed to bits.

The people that betrayed Goliath and his clan have decided to do the unthinkable and kill most of the gargoyles while they were stone in the middle of the day. To hear and see this act of stabbing them in the back while in their most helpless state just caused the huntresses scowl in hate at these noblemen for turning on their supposed allies. What exactly have the gargoyles done to be treated as monsters like this?!

Boomstick: Then the few who did survive were magically sealed in stone forever by a misinformed wizard. Talk about a shitty Monday.

"Those poor gargoyles!" Ruby gasped.

"I don't think anyone deserves to be cursed to remain as a stone statue forever." Weiss said. "I wouldn't even wish that fate on the White Fang."

Wiz: Sealed in stone forever, or until one very specific, seemingly impossible criteria was met.

Nobleman (Magus): The terms of the spell were that they would sleep... until the castle rises above the clouds.

"Rises, above the clouds? Ruby echoed back. RWBY's earlier anger were now complettely lost to the requirement for the spell to be undone.

Wiz: And when he says 'above the clouds', he means it literally.

"I knew Goliath's story wasn't gonna end like this but how exactly is the castle gonna be brought up above the clouds, magic?" Weiss couldn't help but huff at the ludicrousy of bringing an ENTIRE castle ALL the way above the clouds.

Wiz: So, stone they remained for a thousand years, until, in 1994...

("Cues: Gargoyles - Suite 2*)

Boomstick: Some billionare with a name that sounds like an anti-depressant just happened to be crazy enough to try something. Xanatos moved every last stone of the ancient castle to the top of his New York skyscraper, which happened to poke above the clouds.

The scene of the billionare having the whole castle being moved to another place and rebuilt on top of a massive skyscraper tall enough to rise above the clouds. To say that the huntresses were baffled was an understatement. "What?" Weiss was all able to let out as she and her friends were godsmacked from the amount of lengths this billionare went through to orchestrate such a massive project.

"I guess this Xanatos guy heard about the legend and the curse and became fascinated with them that he wanted to see them in real life...with his own eyes." Blake said but was still surprised that someone like a billionare would follow through with his goal out of sheer belief that a fairy tail for all he knew was real.

"Whelp, theres your answer Weiss, the castle was brought up through the clouds using the magic of money." Yang quipped.

Wiz: The cost of which must have been astronomical!

"Obviously!" Weiss yelled. "If Earth's global economics work any way like Remnant's, First he would have to buy the castle, then move the ENTIRE thing to a different part of the world, then build a FREAKIN skyscraper tall AND stable enough to be able to not only be tall enough to stand above the clouds mind you but ALSO to bear the weight of an ancient castle THEN reassemble the entire structure on top of it..." The heiress paused and inhaled some air before finishing. "And that is just the process in a nutshell! How did he have so much time and money to make all that possible?! I would've just accepted it if it was magic. But all of of that?"

"Can we take a second to appreciate how cool that building looks?!" Ruby marveled at the massive structure with the castle perched on top. "Remnant doesn't have a building like that! Seriously, wish we could take a tour in that building." WBY couldn't help but agree that the building does look fascinating. Especially with the clouds being painted shades of yellow and red by the sunset/sunrise.

With everythinh being set into place, the billionaire awaits for the sun to set over the horizen and patiently waits if what he believes ends up being real.

Xanatos: Don't disappoint me...

Nightfalls and clouds of rain and thunder erupt above the 's statue begins to crack as lightning shoots out of the dark clouds. The stones peices finally breaks apart and after all thee years, Goliath finally wakes up from his statue state. Xanatos has becomed rattled seeing Goliath's statue become alive. Xanatos was now clearly stunned backing up a few steps from the reanimated creature.

RWBY can understand the billionaire being in quite a shock. Statues comming to life doesn't seem to be a common accurance in Earth either.

Goliath now rises to his full height, spreads his wings to their full span, raises his arms and roars into the thundering night sky. "Goliath is back!" Ruby praised. The rest of the gargoyles begin to rise from their cursed prison too and join Goliath into the modern era.

(*Cues: Gargoyles - Suite 1 again*)

Wiz: The curse was broken, the gargoyles awoke once again, and Goliath was tasked with leading his clan into the modern world.

The huntresses had to agree that Xanatos spending all that money to bring back Goliath & his clan had to be the greatest act of generosity they've seen from a rich person.

Wiz: Despite being completely out of his element, Goliath adapted surprisingly fast.

The girls were willing to bet that when Goliath found out that he has been asleep for a thousand years, he must have had quite a shock to see how much everything has changed. "Can you even imagine what it would be like if you slept for a thousand years then woke up in time where everything's futuristic?" Weiss asked. She admitted if that happened to her, she would more than likely freak out.

"Hopefully he was able to find a new purpose since the castle is just nothing but a ruin now." Blake said with sympathy.

"At least Goliath is not alone and still has his fellow gargoyles to experience the future with." Ruby said. "As long as I have you guys with me, I wouldn't mind if I woke a billion years into the future." The leader said with a genuine smile.

(*Cues: Gargolyes - Suite 2 again*)

Boomstick: You mean he was texting and watching cat videos in no time?

RWBY watched with amusement as they see one of the gargoyles react to seeing the television. It was humurous how the creature was trying to understand the workings of a simple everyday electronic device like the TV.

Wiz: No, this was the 90's.

Boomstick: Oh, so he wore crazy colored clothing and used nonsensical description words like "Bodacious", "Radical", or...

Goliath: Jalepena...

Lexington: Jalapena...

Broadway: Jalapena...

Brooklyn: Jalapena...

Elisa Maza: Jalapena...

Goliath: Jalapena...

Hudson: Jalapena...

"Jalapena?" The huntresses said in unison. "Is that another bizarre slang that people say to sound cool?" Weiss questioned.

"What would happen if I started saying that?" Yang asked with a grin.

"Then I would leave you guys for another team." Weiss said with a stoic look.

One of Goliath's kin hands him a jalapeno pepper and he eats it, The clan man watches with a growing grin to see how his fearless leader will respond only of Goliath to get overwhelmed by the pepper's spicyness

Goliath: Jalepena! *echoes*

"Ufufufu, he was definately trying to mess with him wasn't he." Blake said with after she laughed into her hand.

"At least its not gonna go through him for the next twelve hours." Yang said as she laughed at how even the calm and level headed gargoyle couldn't handle the fiery flavor.

"Gross Yang." Weiss said.

Boomstick: Damnit.

(*Cues: Gargoyles - Suite 1 again*)

Wiz: Turns out, Goliath was naturally suited to traverse the broad expanse of the city with his enormous wings.

For some reason, the huntresses know that there are some faunus with wings like those of a gat or a hawk but they've never mange to see one fly around with them like how Goliath is seen doing right now.

"How many characters have we seen that have the ability to fly around so far?" Ruby asked.

"A lot." Yang said.

Wiz: Though, to be clear, Goliath insists that he can't fly; only glide on the wind.

Boomstick: Which I insist is bullshit. What else would you call what's happening right here, other than friggin' flying?

The girls could agree with that statement as Goliath seems he is able to maneuver around in the air just fine like he is actually flying.

Wiz: Regardless of wind direction and speed, it seems Goliath has no trouble "gliding" wherever he wants to go. He only has issue taking off from the ground, requiring an elevated point to start from.

"In a way, it kinda makes sense, right." Ruby said but still wasn't sure.

"I'd still call it flying." Yang said.

Boomstick: Good thing he can scale giant skyscrapers from ground level without breaking a sweat.

ABILITIES

Gliding

Superhuman strength, speed, agility & durability

Enhanced senses

Immune to cold & heat

Stone like skin

Sophisticated intellect (Weiss liked this trait)

Strength increases when enraged (Yang likes this one)

Boomstick: Goliath is strong enough to lift three cars with one hand, create a small earthquake, and tear through steel with his bare claws like it was wet paper.

"I'd actually like to see him tear apart a spider droid." Yang said. "How cool would that look?"

Wiz: He's fast enough to keep pace with foes who use rocket-powered flight, and he's tough enough to survive a fall over one hundred feet.

"So far Goliath seems to be in the same ball park as Beast in strength and durability." Weiss chimed. "The only difference so far is that Goliath can fly."

"Thats gonna be an issue for Beast." Blake simply assest.

Boomstick: He was even able to keep "gliding" after being shot by a Nazi plane's machine gun while fighting in World War II. He traveled through time, it was weird.

"So far this World War II sounds like it has been one of Earth's biggest event in their history." Weiss said figuring it out from how much Death Battle has referenced this major event

"He fought Nazis in World War II also?" Ruby asked in wonder. "Do you think he has met Captain America?"

"I'm pretty sure Goiliath's universe is still a seperate universe from Marvel Ruby." Blake blankly answered like she already should've known the answer.

"Wait does this mean every Earth that we've seen has had the same events through out their history?" Weiss asked. "Doesn't it look kinda weird how all these Earths are having the same events even though they are from different universes?"

"Come on Weiss, lets not try to reevaluate the universe right now and just enjoy the show." Yang said in a mock joyful tone.

"Fine." The heiress answered with an annoyed groan. She is getting fed up with having her bringing up these universal existance topics being shot down. Eventually she will put her foot down and have them discuss how all of this is even possible.

Wiz: Goliath may look like a brutal monster, and he certainly can be when he goes into a rage. However, he's actually rather clever and wise.

A lot of faunus also share this trait of being as wise and clever as the next person but unfortunately don't get treated that way.

FEATS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Caught a blade in his bare hand

Ripped through 2 feet of steel

Defeated Archmage

Dodged & survived multiple lightning strikes from Odin

Outsmarted Oberon

Survived a direct hit from an anti-air cannon

Punched through ice several feet thick

Survived being shot down by a Messerchmitt warplane

Said to be the greatest warrior alive by Xanatos

Wiz: He was able to outsmart Oberon, who is practically an all-powerful magical god,

RWBY were able to see that Oberon who at the time was as big as a skyscraper, added with Wiz describing him as an all-powerful magical god it was making him seemingly too powerful and dangerous to try and beat even for Goliath. Yet against all odds, Goliath with his wits and cunning was still able to win.

The huntresses became fascinated that Goliath was able take down this Oberon who seemed like an evil man. They admired Goliath even more for his act of bravery and valor.

Wiz: and when Goliath's not leading his clan into battle, or struggling to have a relationship with a human detective...

Boomstick: Boundaries!

The girls had mixed reactions at this. Ruby found it sweet that the women accepted him and looked past his appearance. Weiss admitted that Goliath does carry himself with more modesty and composed attitude than a certain gun crazed achoholic and would prefer the gargoyle than him. Blake couldn't help but be reminded about her relationship with Adam. How he seemed so charismatic until he grew to be too much of a beast on the inside. Goliath may have the appearance of a monster too but he has also proven to be a compassionate and noble being. And Yang... she just had a goofy grin as her mind just thought of things too depraved to share with her team

Wiz: ...He's usually holed up in his castle's library, reading.

"See Yang, there are plenty of other people that prefer to just read quietly by themselves." Blake argued.

"Or maybe he could be your great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather from another dimension." Yang teased. Blaked sighed. There is just no winning with her.

Boomstick: Wise and powerful, Goliath is a true force of nature... for twelve hours of the day.

Wiz: Right, the other twelve, he is a motionless stone statue, making him a pretty easy target.

Seeing Goliath in this state was kinda depressing. Especially with how the detective woman stays with him in his stone form just waiting for him to awaken once again at night while looking depressed herself. "Sad how Goliath can never experience life during the day." Ruby said with her team nodding in agreement.

Wiz: Even when he's awake, Goliath often puts himself in danger for the sake of others, regardless of the risk.

"They keep saying that like its a bad thing." Blake said.

"I actually would be glad to be led by someone like him." Weiss added.

"Every good guy that we've seen has shown that they would risk their lives to save others." Ruby said. "Thats what being a hero is all about right?"

"Of course Ruby."

"Yes."

"Totally Rubes."

Boomstick: Hey, he's managed to survive for over a thousand years, and believe me when I say, you do not wanna be on this gargoyle's bad side.

Goliath is seen being held captive in a holding cell while being watched by an old man in a wheel chair.

Goliath: My name is Goliath, and I belong to no one.

Hearing Goliath speak again, the girls couldn't help but think that his voice resembled Spawn's.

A villainous old man (Halcyon Renard): Stop whining!

Goliath: A gargoyles doesn't whine. He roars!

"Yep, that old man is definately screwd." Yang said in a cocky tone.

Goliath then leaps at the prison bars, breaking the frame off completely with ease. He then takes the broken off bars and slams some robots with them.

Goliath proved to be an interesting and memorable character as well to RWBY, mainly because of his story and what he has gone through. Him and his race of gorgoyles were a unique in their own right. They have shown that they are peaceful but can also be strong and fierce in battle. Goliath is another character Ruby is hoping to become strong and as much of a good leader as him one day. Weiss was shown a different light on how to treat people that are different thanks to Goliath and his heroic deeds. Blake wished all faunus would follow Goliath's example and not resort to violence to gain respect.

With the analysis of both characters done, the girls couldn't help but feel sympathy for these two characters. Even Blake can't say that she had it just as bad as Beast & Goliath. She can still easily pass herself off as a human where Beast & Goliath don't have that luxury. Their worlds must be tearing those two apart for how they look.

"So, who do you guys think will win this one?" Yang asked.

"Well, Beast and Goliath do seem very similar from what they've shown. But Goliath has the aerial advantage because of his wings so that does put him ahead." Weiss explained

"Fair enough, and it should be super obvious that they can't have the fight take place during the day." Blake said.

"Or wouldn't it be hilarious if Goliath was still able to beat Beast in his statue form?" Yang joked making Ruby as well as Blake laugh while Weiss actually became amused at the idea.

"Well that would just be absolutely rediculous." Weiss answered. 'Though not as the things Chuck Norris & Segata against all logic are able to do.' she internally said.

"Alright lets see how this goes then." Ruby said as they now watched the fight.

Wiz: Alright. The combatants are set, lets end this debate once and for all.

Boomstick: It's time for a Death Battlllllleee!

Death Battle

The scene starts with a view of what has to be New York City. High on top of one of the buildings, Goliath's statue is seen perched on the ledge.

"There's Goliath." Ruby said.

Beast is seen standing a couple feet away and it appears he is just waiting for something.

"Why is he just standing there?" Blake asked.

Eventually, the sun sinks past the horizon, night falls, and the moon emerges. With that, the stone around Goliath begins to crack.

"Awesome, looks like Goliath is gonna have all night for this fight

(*Cues: Gargoyles - Main Theme*)

Goliath breaks free and roars. Shortly afterward, he senses someone near him

(*Cues: X-Men (2000) - The X-Jet*)

and turns toward Beast, who prepares for a fight.

FIGHT!

"Wow, straight to the point on this one." Weiss said.

(*Cues: X-Men Mutant Academy 2 - The X-Jet*)

Goliath leaps at Beast, but is caught by him. Beast then slams the gargoyle into the ground, making Goliath bounce off the ground. Beast immediately follows up with two swipes with his claws then forces him to the ground once more. Goliath breaks free by striking Beast with his tail.

"That tail is pretty handy." Yang snickered.

Goliath leaps into the air, then strikes with a slash. Beast immediately punches him soon afterward sending Goliath back a distance and leaps into the air.

Beast: Prepare to be thrashed.

He flies at Goliath like a cannonball and kicks him, causing Goliath to tumble over the edge of the building.

"Seriously, how does he do that?" Ruby asked in wonder.

"How much do you think Beast's agility is gonna help him in this fight?" Blake asked.

"Against someone like Goliath, hard to say." Weiss said but is still impressed with the murant's skill.

In mid-fall, Goliath uses his wings to slow down his descent, but Beast lands on his back and resume falling down more.

Beast: Runt!

Beast starts pounding blows on Goliath before the night creature starts rolling over forcing the two to impact into a nearby building, knocking Beast off of him while also managing to grab onto the building with his claws. Beast falls further but managed to stop his fall as well.

"I'm starting to get Haggar VS Zangief flashbacks." Yang said as she is enjoying the fight so far.

Goliath begins climbing up the building. Beast roars and leaps upward, making him to be able to switly catch up to his enemy. Beast once again begins to strike Goliath a few times before Goliath counter-attacks and knocks him back. Goliath then leaps upward and glides straight into Beast hoping to ram the mutant down into the ground. Beasts then bites Goliath, causing the two to spin in mid-air and skidding along the building. This allows Beast to break out of the hold and reverse the situation and strikes Goliath downward. Goliath crashes into the pavement below as Beast lands behind a parked van.

"Beast has been getting in more hits than Goliath." Blake said.

"Thought Goliath would putting up a better tan this." Yang said.

Shortly after Goliath gets up and roars, Beast then brabs onto the vehicle.

Beast: Come on!

Hank then throws it straight toward Goliath at high speed. The Gargoyle stands his ground and stops it shortly after being pushed back by it. Goliath tears the front cover of the van and tosses it at Beast. Beast leaps forward and manages to tear the front of the van in two, but this became his undoing as it turns out Goliath has charged at Beast directly behing the thrown projectile. Beast was not able to react in time as Goliath was able to land a good solid blow on his opponent.

The girls, were impressed how Goliath was able to fool Beast into thinking the vehicle part was all he had to worry about.

Beast rolls upward and toward the ground uncontrollably as Goliath gracefully glides behind him, then slams into him once more before Beast could recover, holding him down while also dragging him across the pavement. Goliath then uses his claws and slashes at Beast, drawing blood, then slashes at him again and again and again making blood fly in multiple directions.

This ended up looking very savage to the huntresses because of how Beast is gaining VERY noticable large gashes across his body. "Okay I think Beast is done for now." Ruby said with a cringe.

"Yeah Beast is definitely not recovering from that." Blake said with wide eyes. Weiss couldn't help but notice how Beast was in agaony from the onslaught. It make her shiver in horror at the display.

With the wounds large enough Goliath then jabs his arms into Beast, then tears them right out, separating the top half of Beast from his bottom half. Goliath raises his wings and bloodied hands, then roars in triumph into the night sky.

"Jeez! Did he really have to make it THAT violent and gory?!" Weiss exclaimed.

"I know. I hope I don't go out like that." Yang said. Being ripped apart like that would have to be one of her least prefered ways to die.

KO!

Beast's body lies in pieces in a trash can while Goliath makes it to the top of his tower, bloodied and all, while carrying Beast's head as the sun rises, turning him to stone. RWBY hope he doesn't plan on keeping Beast's head like a trophy. Plus seeing Hank's remains in the garbage is definately not something her deserved.

Results

(*Cues: Gargoyles Theme - Metal Cover*)

Boomstick: They never show ya that shit on 90's cartoons!

Wiz: Beast and Goliath were pretty even in terms of strength and speed, making this more so a battle of wit and experience. Beast was always more of a team player, preferring not to fight directly unless absolutely necessary.

"So it turns out Beast was too reliant on his teammates when it came to the big fights." Weiss said.

Wiz: Infact a lot of Beast's training is mainly about using his powers better. Meaning he is not proficient enough in tactical knowledge, the timing of attacks, knowing when and where to strike, basically hand to hand skills to win this fight.

"Its pretty obvious being a genius in science doesn't equal being a genius in combat." Blake said.

Ruby is starting to feel like Death Battle his hammering in her head that she should learn to fight hand to hand as it keeps providing examples that relying on your power can only take you so far.

Boomstick: And since Goliath spent decades defending his ancient castle and New York from vikings, thugs, magic beings, and ghosts, his combat experience trumped Beast's.

"Woah, wait Goliath has fought ghosts?" Ruby asked in surprise.

"I wonder how he was able to pull that off." Yang said who was also curious how Goliath has fought ghosts.

Boomstick: Beast really didn't bring anything to the fight that Goliath hasn't already seen before.

"Well if Goliath was able to take down that giant with a wide array of magical powers, then whats a being that is him with less fighting experience and can't fly is to him?" Blake said.

"To be fair Beast has been in fights where he's punched above his weight class too." Weiss said.

"Yeah, he still has my respect for that." Yang said. She admires characters taking on enemies more powerful than them.

Wiz: Also, be careful not to misinterpret Beast's golden tree feat. While it might sound far more impressive than anything Goliath has done, Beast did not actually lift the whole 60+ ton tree off the ground. It's nothing surpassing his usual feats.

"Wait weren't you guys the ones that made it sounds impressive in the first place." Weiss asked with her arms crossed.

Boomstick: And one time, Goliath got nailed in the back by an anti-aircraft round. That's right, Goliath got shot by a gun designed to destroy airplanes, got back up, and dropped a radio tower on the fools that tried it.

"They did say earlier that Beast gets affected by bullets." Weiss said. "This means that Goliath is not only the better fighter but is more durable."

Wiz: And Beast didn't wait until sunrise for an advantage for two reasons: One, he didn't know what would happen, because gargoyles in his universe don't share the "stone by day" rule, and second, Beast isn't tough enough to stand against Goliath for twelve hours straight.

It was a given that their fight was NOT gonna last twelve hours.

Wiz: Finally, Beast has consistently struggled against fighters that are more skilled and experienced than him; even against fighters who are physically inferior to him.

Boomstick: Even in his fight against Captain America, Rogers was able to easily put him down despite Hank being stronger and more durable.

"Well duh, He is like the master at fighting." Yang hollored. Even though he lost to Batman, he is still cool to Yang.

Wiz: On the flip side, Beast has fought somebody similar to Goliath named the Griffin, and only survived the fight due to his fellow X-Man Angel's help.

Too bad Beast didn't have Angel to bail him out this time.

Wiz: And again Beast isn't a fighter so he might not push himself to do what needs to be done in order to win the fight; Goliath will.

"Also there's the fact that Goliath can fly, so...there's that." Weiss added.

Boomstick: In the end, Beast just didn't have the heart to keep up with the gargoyle.

Wiz: The winner is Goliath.

The girls cheered for Goliath for his victory. Though his chances were low, RWBY thought Beast was still a good match for Goliath and was able to put up a fight. Before the studends decide to call it a night, they wait to see who the next fighters will be.

Boomstick: Next time on Death Battle.

Before they show who the next fighter is, the sound of a digital ringtone goes off.

(*Cues: Metal Gear Solid 3 - Maine Theme*)

The man emerges from a box. This man wears some form of military combat gear. The girls figured that he must be highly trained soldier as he is seen performing various operations in combat and stealth missions. The soldier shown to be the next combatant in the next episode looked very familiar to the huntresses but they can't remember his name or where he was mentioned. Then his name is finally revealed.

SOLID SNAKE

COMES TO DEATH BATTLE

Solid Snake: Its Showtime.

Then it clicked. The huntresses remembered him along with Samus and Link were briefly mentioned in Yoshi's analysis. Since Link ended up being on Death Battle too, it was only a matter of time before Solid Snake appears on Death Battle as well. While looking forward to that, the girls decide to shut everything down and sleep so they can function well in the morning.

Author's Note: Alright, hope you all have enjoyed the chapter. This was another chapter where I decided to add some some feats for characters to make it a little bit more interesting. Since this episode had one of the shortest fights, I would've tried to extent it. But with at fight between Beast and Goliath, it just really comes down to them punching and throwing eachother as far as making a fight for entertainment goes. Not wasn't really anything to add to that.

Also there was this one reviewers that that comment on something about how this will boost Blake in some way. But I couldn't really bring that with the feeling that Blake has gone through what Beast and Goliath have gone through.

1. Because of the whole problem with the show and how they constantly play the "Tell, don't show" game on its viewers. So why sympathize for Blake as the audiance if we don't see what exactly Blake has gone through. The writers expect us to use our imagination whuch kinda fails on their part.

2. Now we got the RWBY DC comics and it kinda retcons Blake's past and why she ended up joining the White Fang. In short, she has spent her entire life living with her parents in Menagerie and only joins the White Fang because of Adam. Some of us might say that that ruins her character even more where she has reached a point even past rock bottom somehow.

About the show itself, its shit now. Thats all I'm gonna say here. I haven't even bothered watching Volumes 6 & 7 yet. I've just been watching reviews on youtube and stuff. One thing that I'm gonna say myself is that I just hate how the show has made the Atlas military even more incompetant than the First Order from the Star Wars sequal trilogy. Alright enough rant.

So the next chapter is gonna be Slid Snake VS Sam Fisher. I'm will do my best to get that episode knocked out as soon as possible. I know we are all going through a tough time right now. The coronavirus seems pretty serious. So hope we all get throught this with as little casualties as possible. Pray this doesn't turn into the Black Plague. So stay home, stay safe (only go out if you absolutely need to), stay healthy. The sun may have set but it will soon rise again.
