It had been 10 long years since he lost everything but yet, here he was training to become a hunter along with her, the one who had always been there thought-out it all. Ren lay awake in his bed while the remaining members of team JNPR continued to sleep.

Even though it was the middle of summer the room felt cold to the ninja almost as if all the heat had escaped during his sudden awakening from the haunting dream.

Getting up slowly off the bed he quietly walked over to the large wooden wardrobe at the other side of the dorm in search of a source of warmth but as he expected the specific item of clothing could not be found.

A sleepy mumble interrupted the silence of the room making Ren turn his head towards his bubbly partners bed. The cover had long been thrown to the floor due to Nora being a restless sleeper but she seemed protected from the cold air in the room by the exact thing Ren had been previously searching for.

The hoodie she was wearing had been a gift from Jaune after winning four of them in a Pumpkin Pete competition meaning that all four members had received one. Even though it was clear that Nora had her own she had always preferred stealing Ren's pretending that he didn't notice. On her it was extremely too big making her look more like a helpless child than a highly skilled warrior.

She mumbled again, this time slowly opening her green eyes as if she could sense that Ren was there. Their eyes locked as she sat up and launched herself at the black haired male, burring her face into his chest while both started to shed tears.

They stayed in that position for nearly 10 minutes until the tears had stopped and had dried on their faces. Ren reached down and picked up the fallen blanket spreading it neatly on Nora's bed. The red head once again wrapped her arms around her partner and pulled him under the covers with her.

Ren pulled Nora closer so that her head rested on his chest and he could feel her presents as they both drifted off to sleep together. As they always had been and always would be no matter what.
