AUTHOR'S NOTE: IMPORTANT: Hey guys, this is me entirely replacing the Foreword now that the story is done. As well as bringing a heads up from the get-go about some beautiful artwork a reader commissioned, and who created it. It's from a scene right by the end of the fic, but I can't just make you all wait to see it, can I? palavenmoons tumblr com/post/173801810179/prelude-illustration-done-for-o-i-had-so-much
This website is weird with links, so add http to it, and replace the spaces with periods. Anyways, onto the foreword itself. Don't bother reading if you read the earlier ones. This is for newcomers.
Hey everyone! Welcome to my story! Into the Great Unknown has come a long way from when I first imagined creating this. Over 600k words, and 81 chapters. And, as of this moment, over 90k views. Outstanding! Before you get started, letting you know some details. Nothing spoiler like, but things to understand. First person perspective, but the perspective does sometimes change between the crew. I do this a lot more in my Trilogy series which I'm still working on. I also wish to warn you that the first fifteen chapters or so will be shorter, and in my opinion, lower quality than the ones that come after. I was still finding my stride as this was my first ever attempt writing creatively to such a length as this has come. I leave in the combat, as you will notice, and I believe I do it well. It can be a bit gory, but that's me trying to keep it relatively realistic taking the physics of the weapons into account. And that means I'm very lore friendly with my story telling. Not necessarily hot glued to the canon plot in every way shape or form, no. I make various improvements and additions that benefit at the very least, my story. I'm also letting you know about movie night chapters. You really don't need to concern yourself with those. I tried one for fun, and made the mistake of trying it again, which turned it all into a chore rather than just me having some fun. They're not great, but most at least come with real substance in the non-movie parts of the chapters, so this is what keeps me from up and deleting them. That being said, you may still enjoy nuggets of them. Last thing I can think of touching on now, is that right by the end, this story contains spoilers for my trilogy story. Who lives/dies and what-not. Not fully, no, but if you want to remain ready for my choices such as, you can always skip those parts. Now that that's done, I won't keep you any longer. Hope you enjoy!
