For the Drabble Game Challenge (CharlesSilena, heavenly, requested by Emma)

It's practically a rite of passage as an Aphrodite child. Break someone's heart and make Mom proud.

Once, Silena looked forward to the day when she would have that honor. She spent her summers looking for the perfect boy, the perfect prey. So many lined up, smiling and flirting, but they were never quite right.

Until Charles came along. Handsome Charles with his mischievous eyes and restless hands. Kind Charles, with his charm and wit. And Silena knew that he would be the one.

But something changed. The more time she spent with her boyfriend, the harder she fell. At first, she thought something must be wrong with her. Her brothers and sisters played the game so easily, breaking hearts as though it was second nature. But she couldn't do it.

The way he holds her hand is heavenly, and she feels as though she can touch the stars whenever he kisses her. Whenever he whispers her name, she feels like someone is calling her home.

"What is it?" Charles asks as they walk along the shore of the lake. "You're quiet today."

Silena smiles, resting her head against his strong arm. "Nothing. Everything is fine. Perfect, really."

Maybe there's nothing wrong with her. She isn't broken just because she doesn't want to hurt Charles.

There's more to love than playing a game and collecting pieces of hearts. Her mother loves Ares. Her mother always has, and maybe she always will. She risks so much in the name of love.

Maybe that's what love really is. It's not some match where the winner is the one who gets out with the fewest scars on their heart. It's finding someone whose embrace feels like a safe harbor in stormy times. It's finding someone who can make her forget that the world is falling apart just by kissing her. It's finding someone who hugs her so tightly that she can feel all her broken pieces falling back into place.

This will be her legacy. She will not be the girl who played the game like so many before her. She will be the girl who loves so fiercely that it can be seen in her smile. She will be Silena, the Aphrodite girl who fell in love to stay.
