Thank you for your patience, everyone! As always, read, relax, and most importantly, ENJOY!

We love you, Mr. Universe!

Greg stood at the front of the stage, beaming as he looked out over the masses. He lifted his guitar for a riff, casting a ciss and a wink over toward some of the girls in the front row. The ebb and flow of the crowd's cheers made the young man happier than he could have ever dreamed; all the while, his heart was beating out of his chest.

As he finished his sing, the chants of encore were enough to send his head spinning. But all good things must come to an end eventually. With thousands of voices calling his name, he addressed the crowd a final time. "Thank you, Empire City!"

Everything after the concert was such a blur. One moment, he was being rushed around backstage, the next, he was chilling in his hotel room, sipping bubbly out of a champagne glass. Times like these, he really had to give it to his manager, Mary. His life never would have gotten here without her.

He stirred from his lounging, sliding into the softest slippers he ever owned, making his way toward the window. Empire City was beautiful at night. Lights flickering from here to there, it truly was a city that never slept. But something was wrong with the sight before him. He didn't notice at first, but there was a light in the sky. Not that of a plane, and stars were never visible within the light pollution of the city. Was was that? Whatever it was, it was getting brighter, and larger. And more started to appear.

Greg pressed himself up to the window to get a better look at things. He soon noticed that it wasn't just lights up there. There were shadows of great objects hidden behind the glare. And these were no planes or helicopters. These craft were… alien.

Before Greg even had the time to ask himself what they were doing here, one of the craft shot a laser-like weapon out at one of the buildings in his view. Greg felt sick as he watched it burn and collapse. He slowly backed away from the window, watching as more of the alien craft did the same. He had to get out of here before he could meet with the same fate as those others.

He ran from his hotel room, ran down the hallway toward the elevator, having no care at all for the fact that he was still in his pajamas. He had to get out. Had to get out!

Each second he spent waiting for that elevator felt like an eternity. And every time the ground shook, so did his faith that he would make it out of this building intact. "Finally," He groaned as those doors opened for him. And once inside, Greg prayed to every deity he could possibly think of off the top of his head. Whatever it took to get him to the ground safely.

What greeted him at the lobby was chaos. People were flooding in from the streets in search of shelter they hoped existed. Greg shook his head. It was useless. Nowhere to hide from these things. So Greg snaked his way through the thick crowd, trying as he could to make it against the tide of bodies.

After forcing his way outside, and still being pushed around out there, Greg finally got a better look at these invaders. They weren't the light bulb-headed creatures or swirling mass of tentacles he'd seen on tv. They were beings of light and stone, coming in every color along the spectrum. Some large, some small, but the way they dragged his kind out into the open tore at his heart. And then… He couldn't look. The screams were enough on their own.

Greg looked for an escape, and not another grand skyscraper like the one he just came out from. He just got a good look at the fate those people had in store. "Hey, you!" And him if he didn't get a move on.

Greg looked around quickly. Right, left. There! An alley. He made a dash for it. His only salvation. But the footsteps of foreign beings were right on his tail. And ahead of him, metal fencing. He ran up to it, only to find it locked. The only way left was up. As he climbed the gate, ignorant of his missteps, all he could think about was putting distance between him and these pursuers. And he made it over just in time. He looked back briefly to see these invaders struggle to follow his path over, but this wasn't the time to gawk.

Tripping over his feet, but refusing to fall, he made his way for the other end of the alley. He kept running, running, until he ran straight into a wall. No, not a wall. Greg looked up at this figure, large as a building, and staring down at him with piercing golden eyes.

She only uttered one word before lifting a foot, and bringing it down on top of his head. "Organic."

Greg's eyes flashed open with his heart beating out of his chest. He was in bed. That's right, they found a motel to stay at while his van was being worked on. He tore the covers off, getting out of bed and away from those nightmares. He took a look around. The only light in the room came from the television set, which Pearl was extremely focused on. But only she was here.

Greg looked to the door, still shut. But the flash shining through the curtains caught his attention. And the rumble which followed concerned him. With a furrow of the brow, he burst out of the room.

Much to his relief, she hadn't gone far. She was just leaning over the railing, watching lightning arc in the clouds.

"You know it's dangerous to be out in a thunderstorm." Greg commented, drawing her attention.

She raised a brow, a small smirk tracing across her lips. "Believe me, there are planets with far worse weather than yours. Count yourself lucky Earth's precipitation originates of water."

"Uh… thanks?" Greg said, earning a roll of the eyes from Yellow in return. A gust of wind picked up, sending chills across Greg's body as he was sprayed with that cold rain. "M-mind c-coming back inside, please?"

Yellow looked down at the shivering man with the slightest hint of pity. "Very well."

A/N:

You know, if I wanted to, I could make a really terrifying nightmare sequence. But I don't wanna make things too dark.
