Hey guys! This was originally requested by Randomly Talented. I had intended to post this earlier but, well, shit happens.

Enjoy!

Ever since Robin really joined the Strawhats, that is after Enies Lobby, she had felt a maternal sort of urge towards her crew. They were all hopeless idiots after all, and she knew that it was up to her to protect them from the crafty minds in the World Government.

That was really where it started. She would silently watch them using her ability and they never noticed. If Zoro did notice the occasional sakura petals flying around him, he chose to stay ignorant. And if he saw the dead bodies of Pirate hunters with their wanted posters and more petals, he never said anything.

When Robin started earnestly watching her crew she noticed all the little, important things about them.

She saw how Luffy, seated on Sunny's head would tense up, look around and then shrug it off. His instincts were a force to be reckoned with.

She saw how Zoro would pause mid-snore, open an eye to look at her general direction, then close it and resume snoring. She was surprised by that display of faith the first time.

She saw how Ussop would take a deep breath and steel himself before doing something reckless.

She saw how Sanji would whip up dishes, despite his outward displeasure, when Luffy bounced in to ask for a snack.

She saw Nami sneak a fond smile towards the idiots, usually after pounding them to death.

She saw how Chopper would tear up when Zoro started exercising rigorously after receiving many fatal blows, resulting in a grumbling swordsman returning to the infirmary with a happy reindeer in tow.

She saw how Franky would occasionally talk to Sunny about Merry and wondering just how wonderful a ship it might have been.

She saw how Brook would suddenly jerk his head as if in a stupor, look around and start playing a song and how he would brighten up when Luffy joined in followed by Ussop and Chopper.

Yes, they were hopeless idiots.

But they were her idiots and Robin wouldn't change that for the world.
