"The 'scar-under-the-eye pirates'."
"No..."
"The 'pirate-king pirates'?"
"Awful..."
"The 'Monkey pirates'!"
"Hell no."
The crew looked with an apologetic smile at Luffy, who had his head on the dining table. Everyone was sitting in the dining room, realizing the beloved strawhat was gone. It was great Luffy could give his strawhat back, but in the meanwhile, he was sort of depressed. His head felt so cold...
The only ones sitting in the dining room were Robin, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Brook, Chopper and the pirate king. Everyone, minus Nami and Luffy, was discussing what the new name should be. Sabo went back to see Koala as soon as possible.
"I'm proud of you for giving the hat back, Luffy." Robin said with a smile. "Let's party and celebrate you're engaged with Nami."
Nami choked in her drink as soon as Robin said that and Chopper, Sanji and Brook looked up in shock. "Wait, what?!" Chopper asked with disbelieve.
"You're actually trying to make me believe that idiot is engaged?!" Sanji asked shocked, pointing to the sulking hat-less captain "Does he even know how marriage works?!"
"Well, I think for one he wouldn't pass out for several days when he has to kiss." Zoro started "Unlike you when Pudding gave back your memori-"
"Shut it, mosshead!" Sanji yelled annoyed "Weddings are so expensive. I don't think Nami-swan wants to pay for all that."
"Big Mom technically paid for yo-"
"I think Sanji-san sometimes forgets you're the pirate king..." Brook muttered while Sanji and Zoro were having another fight in the background.
"I don't wanna ask for money," Luffy said, sighing with his fist supporting his face and his elbow on the table. The previous pirate king left a lot of gold and jewels back on Raftel, something that made Nami pass out for days straight. Dragon and Sabo decided to watch the money because the first thing Luffy wanted to do with the money was to buy a huge amount of meat. They didn't agree.
Luffy could ask for the money every time he wanted, as long as Nami went with him as approval, but Luffy didn't feel the need.
"Maybe you should ask for money. I can come with you." the navigator said. Everyone looked at her with half-lidded eyes seeing the Beli signs in her eyes.
"It was very stupid of Sabo and Dragon to assign Nami instead of Robin..." Zoro claimed with a frown, receiving a glare from Nami. "Luffy, I don't get what you see in her."
Luffy looked with owlish eyes, but he soon turned nervous when everyone looked at him with a cocked eyebrow. Even Nami looked with a cocked eyebrow. "Yeah, what do you even see in me?"
"U-uhm? What do you see in me?" Luffy asked with a nervous laugh.
"Same as everyone. A strong-willed captain, a strong man who puts himself always on the last spot and he would protect everyone with everything he got. Thing is, you saved me so many times I got feelings. No normal human wouldn't get feelings after all those events." Nami explained matter-of-factly, making Luffy turn pale. "But are you seriously telling me you haven't even thought about why you like me?"
Luffy and Nami were staring at each other, but their stare got broken off by Robin's giggle. "Oh, he knows."
"What?" Nami asked. "What do you mean? Has he told you?"
"No, he told Hancock-hime and I eavesdropped. Remember when I said they were talking about kissing? Luffy told her before that."
"You told Hancock?!" Nami asked shocked making him gasp by the outburst.
"You eavesdropped?" Chopper asked.
"YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT KISSING?!" Sanji yelled, almost pulling his hair out.
"I normally don't agree with the things love-cook yells about, but that is the thing that interests me the most too," Zoro added.
"Luffy-san is growing so fast..." Brook said with melancholy, taking a sip of his tea.
"Luffy, if you told Hancock you have to tell me t-"
Nami stopped talking when the whole room turned dark. They all looked around in confusion. "Well... That's a weird turn of events?" Zoro said, "Where's the electricity?"
Sanji grabbed his lighter and he lit it on, seeing everyone a little bit better. "Where are the candles? Do we even have candles?"
"Yeah, we have candles in the lowest drawer under the stove," Nami explained looking around with a confused frown.
"Luffy, did you see whether we're getting attacked or not?" Zoro asked suspiciously.
"Nope." Luffy answered with his hand supporting his head "I didn't see anything."
"I'm still going to the crow's-nest to be sure..." Zoro stood up and Robin decided to help him out with a few extra eyes. Sanji explained he was going to the kitchen for a few minutes, so he took the only light with him, making it entirely dark again in the room. Luffy, Nami, Brook and Chopper were the only ones left in the dark.
"This sucks," Luffy muttered bored. Brook and Chopper nodded too, although the captain couldn't see them doing that. Nami was tapping her fingers on the table in boredom, but she frowned confused when the person next to her stopped the tapping by grabbing her hand. At first, she felt annoyed because she thought her captain found the tapping annoying, but in actuality, he just wanted to hold her hand.
Damnit, this was the exact moment Nami wanted to see his face while doing this. Nami pinched her eyes in the hope she could see him, but she still couldn't.
Sanji walked inside the dining room again, so the room got slightly lit. Nami immediately looked at Luffy's face but he already let go of her hand before she could see his expression. The navigator scolded under her breath while Sanji lit a few candles, making it even lighter in the room.
"Well, that's better," Sanji said, putting the candles on the table. Luffy frowned and put his head on the table. First, he felt naked without his strawhat, and after that, the lights went off making it even more boring for the 23-year-old.
Nami was also bothered. She finally had some affection from her captain and before she could truly enjoy it he let the affection go again.
"I think I'm going to sleep. I'm bored. I'm going to dream about food and games," Luffy said, grabbing a candle from the table. Everyone looked confused at him and they figured he was a bit emotional about giving the strawhat back.
A pout grew on Nami's face when Luffy actually left the room. If he was going to his bed, she was going to her bed too... It was also turning late and she also felt bored now. Nami stood up with a sigh and Sanji, Chopper and Brook didn't even ask where she was going, presumably already knowing.
Luffy climbed upstairs and he stopped when he heard someone whisper to wait up. The captain did what he was told and he saw the navigator walk up with some struggles caused by the darkness. Nami got completely up again and her eyebrows furrowed into a frown. "Why did you hold my hand all of a sudden?"
Luffy stared at her with his owlish eyes, which Nami could see because of the candle. "Your tapping was annoying," he stated, making Nami want to punch him in an instant. How could she even think Luffy was showing affect- "But when I grabbed your hand to make you stop, I felt how warm your hand was and wanted to hold it longer like you did when we walked back to the ship."
Words couldn't describe how glad Nami was her blush was well hidden in the dark. "I-I see..." She scratched the back of her head in awkwardness. "Well then, I'm heading off to bed..."
Just after Nami headed towards her room, the candles got blown out adding fuel to her irritation.
"Huh?" Luffy said, "How did that happen?"
"Very funny," Nami said, feeling the wall and searching for a door. Her orientation quickly got confused due to the pitch darkness of the hallway.
"I didn't do it," Luffy said, looking around too. He rubbed his eyes, thinking it would make it better. The sight was so dark he was almost thinking his eyes were the cause. "I can't see anything..."
"Which door is mine?" Nami wondered, patting the walls. She had no idea which rooms she passed already or how far further she was in the hallway. Why didn't the electricity work?!
Luffy heard Nami gasp as he felt her hands on his chest. "That's not a door," Luffy exclaimed, making a vein pop out of Nami's forehead.
"Careful what you say, bud. I'm close to your nipple and I ain't afraid to twist it."
Luffy rolled his lips inside, making sure not to say anything to piss her off. After some time, he retained a normal expression when he still felt her hands on his chest.
"Oi Nami, did you fall aslee-"
Luffy's eyes widened in shock when he felt a pair of soft lips against his chin. This time, Luffy's expression didn't retain normally.
"Shoot, I missed..."
"W-W-What were you aiming for?" Luffy asked, still shocked. Nami heard him stutter and she became even more annoyed she couldn't see his face. Her hands on his chest moved again, going upwards. Luffy gulped, feeling her movement. Her hands felt where they were going, touching his shoulders, his warm muscular neck, his adorable ears, his warm cheeks and adorable nose. When her thumb hit the goal she was going for, she smiled widely feeling him becoming warmer under her hands.
"I was aiming for this..." Nami whispered, feeling his lips with her thumb. Luffy gulped nothing this time, feeling Nami's soft hands on his cheeks and one thumb on his lips.
Luffy frowned deeply, not sure what to do but the biggest reason the frown grew was that Luffy couldn't see Nami. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen, was now hidden from him.
The pirate king lift his hands and placed it carefully onto Nami, and luckily he placed his hands on her hips. He would have been killed if it were her breasts... His hands traced the side of her waist and Nami had to fight back a giggle for it tickled. His hands went up too, up to her shoulders and feeling the straps of her tanktop. He felt her collarbone and Nami closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling.
No one ever touched Nami the way Luffy did. Hell, she didn't have time for men touching her and she also never had been interested in men touching her. Except for Luffy. Luffy was allowed to touch her every day. Nami sighed when Luffy traced her neck, one of the sensual places of women. She decided not to tell him that for the risk of him backing off.
His hands traced her jawbone and towards her ears, feeling her earlobes. Another sensual place for women, but she also wasn't going to tell him that either... Yet.
When Luffy traced the navigator's cheeks, Nami could feel the roughness of his fingers. The roughness of all the fights he had to endure.
Nami sighed again in bliss. Everywhere Luffy touched made it feel as if her skin burned but in a very nice and comforting way. Like fiery butterflies on her skin, the same butterflies she felt in her belly. The darkness made the feelings even more intoxicating because her eyesight was now disabled. Nami gave in to the feeling, the feeling of being in love with that idiot.
Luffy felt Nami's soft, but warm cheeks, and Nami felt him tremble a little bit to her surprise. "Are you OK?"
"Yeah," Luffy whispered back, not moving the hands he had placed on her cheeks. Nami's smile widened, even though the man in front of her couldn't see it.
Nami removed her thumb from his lip, and with the same hand, she grabbed a hand from his, leading it towards her lips. She kissed the knuckles on his hand, the knuckles which scarred over the years. Luffy's eyes widened, feeling the soft, warm lips all over his hand. With every kiss, Luffy smelled a little hint of oranges.
Nami kissed his wrist, feeling his skin on her lips. Surprisingly enough, Luffy smelt like the salt sea and coconuts...
Nami's hands traced Luffy's face again, feeling how hot he got. She couldn't imagine a blush on Luffy's face because she had never seen one on his face. Her hands traced into his raven coloured hair, feeling how soft it was.
"I have never seen you this quiet," Nami said with a widened smile.
Luffy hummed softly. "You have never touched me like this..."
That was true. One hand of Nami's travelled to the back of Luffy's head and one got back to Luffy's cheek. Her thumb brushed over his scar, feeling it for the first time now.
"Don't get startled," she said with a sweet voice, making Luffy slightly confused, but it got explained with Nami's next action. He couldn't help but still be a little bit startled when she suddenly placed those soft cushions, a.k.a her lips, on his. She parted, but his lips were still a bit puckered in shock. Nami giggled softly and it was honestly the sweetest sound Luffy ever heard. "You got startled, didn't you?"
"I didn't expect you to do that..."
Nami giggled again while her hand was twirling in his hair. "It's kind of cool how I can get you startled even though not even the strongest could get you even slightly afraid."
"Yeah, but this is different," Luffy said, making Nami cock an eyebrow, "Shanks said if men were bad at it, women lose interest and go to a different man."
"Remember me I have to punch him next time we see him..." Nami said, trying to hold back her anger through her smile. How dare he make a nervous, innocent boy this insecure? "That's not true, Luffy. Nothing you do could make me lose interest in you."
"Really?"
"Really," Nami whispered. "How can I honestly lose interest in a man who saved me multiple times? From Arlong, from a sickness and carried me through a snow- and ice-covered island? A man who didn't give up when losing his brother and did everything to protect us and to become stronger?" Nami placed her lips on his rough ones again, making him gasp a little bit. "And besides. If you are bad at it, we should just practice," Nami added with the smirk.
Luffy even could hear the smirk. "W-What do you mean?"
Nami leaned forward, capturing his lips again before parting fast. "Something like this," she whispered, making him gulp. Her other hand travelled from his cheek to the back of his head, entwining her fingers in his hair. Was it just him or did Nami suddenly seem like a whole different person? "But if you want to stop, I don't mind," Nami added. Luffy smiled a bit, hearing her say that. She was so sweet and thoughtful. "Even though I thought Monkey D. Luffy was a person who never gave up at anything?"
His smile disappeared and Nami felt him get frozen under her hands, making her laugh a little. Sweet and thoughtful? Hell no. "I was just kidding. Don't wor-hmpf"
The navigator looked with half-lidded eyes when she returned a forceful, exaggerated puckered kiss back from the captain who didn't even aim well. He kissed slightly next to her lips.
"Nice try," Nami muttered, making Luffy part and pout. "Don't pucker your lips too much and don't kiss forcefully." She placed her hands on his cheeks and she pulled him near her carefully. Luffy did what he was told and he didn't pucker his lips too much, and he felt her warm lips on his again. Damn, he could easily get addicted to this.
Nami closed her eyes and their lips moved against each other. Stealing little kisses, enjoying their tastes and their bodies drew closer to each other. Luffy eventually also closed his eyes, and he carefully placed his hands on Nami's hips while Nami wrapped her arms closer around Luffy's neck.
A soft moan escaped Nami's lips as she began to enjoy it. At first, it began sloppily, but now she truly began to enjoy kissing the man she never thought she would ever kiss in her life. Luffy frowned slightly when he felt Nami's chest against his chest. If they were suddenly going to stop, he would go crazy.
"I'm off to bed." Their eyes widened and they parted in shock when they heard Sanji say downstairs to Chopper and Brook: "Chopper, don't make it too late before you're asleep tomorrow all day."
"I'm going to bed too then. Before Sanji-kun sees us..." Nami whispered softly, before letting go of Luffy. It suddenly felt very cold without her against him. Luffy didn't agree and grabbed her by her wrist, making his navigator shocked. He pulled her inside his room and closed the door fast before Sanji walked by. Nami got extremely confused and disoriented by Luffy's sudden movements. "Luffy, wha-"
His lips were over hers again, taking her back by surprise. "Don't leave, it was suddenly cold..." Luffy muttered after parting, making Nami giggle softly. She could hear his pout and she couldn't help but blush hearing how cute her idiot could be at times. Even his pout was clearly audible.
"You are never cold, idiot. Not even in the snow or blizzard," Nami giggled, placing her hands on his cheeks. Luffy's smile widened and Nami kissed him again, but with a visible frown on her face. At least, not visible for Luffy in the dark. Luffy actually did feel cold? Nami wrapped her arms around his neck and she drew closer to him, body to body. They kissed softly again and Luffy pinned her between him and the door unconsciously. Nami actually wanted to kiss a bit rougher, but she was already happy Luffy wanted to actually try kissing at all.
Nami brushed her hands on Luffy's back, under his cardigan. Her nails softly tickled against his skin and she stole a few kisses again. Luffy frowned to her touch. Why had no one told him this felt so amazingly good? If he knew this, he would have done this waaay sooner. Maybe he now got why Sanji was such an extreme pervert. Not like Luffy was ever going to act like that, but he certainly got it.
Nami's hands now roamed a bit lower, just a tad above his tailbone, making him frown more. He now noticed his hands were steady on her hips, so he copied her movements. Luffy wouldn't dare to go under her tanktop. He didn't have a deathwish.
Nami was very grateful for Luffy. Most hormonal men would throw their woman on their beds by now, but Luffy wasn't like this. Luffy never was like this. She smiled against his lips when she felt him touch her back, but very carefully. Nami stopped kissing Luffy and he got shocked he did something wrong. Damnit, he knew he shouldn't have touched her somewhere else.
Nami grabbed Luffy's hands and she placed one hand on her butt and one under her tanktop, taking Luffy aback. "W-Wha-"
"I am, sort off, your fiance now. So I don't mind," Nami said sweetly, her smirk invisible for Luffy. How she wished she could see his face now. "You can feel me up however you'd like."
Nami heard Luffy gulp, but he still did what Nami said. His touch made her blush immensely, so she decided to kiss him some more. He felt her spine, soft skin and curve as he was touching her. The navigator's slender leg was slowly turning into jelly feeling his hands.
Nami wrapped her arms around Luffy's neck, burying herself more against him and feeling as if she could melt into him. After having a mental argument with herself, she decided to try and deepen the kiss, even though it might gross Luffy out, but she couldn't hold herself back. A little moan escaped her lips again, which was one of the most beautiful sounds Luffy had ever heard. Before Nami could deepen the kiss, Luffy suddenly parted.
"What is this?" Luffy asked confused, tugging on the thing under Nami's tanktop.
"That's my bra strap," Nami answered with a deep sigh. Not a deep sigh out of annoyance but out of satisfaction. Luffy retreated his hand as if he touched fire, and Nami couldn't help but laugh at him. "Don't worry. You're probably going to touch it more often."
"What?"
"Again, don't worry," Nami whispered against his lips. Just when they were about to kiss, the electricity got back again.
Luffy and Nami stared at each other, seeing the light were back on and they saw how close they were. Nami looked flustered and Luffy looked with his owlish eyes and reddened cheeks until his mouth formed into a wide smile. Nami looked honestly cute, seeing her flustered face and messy hair. Luffy's hair also was messier than normal.
Her brown-golden, big eyes stared into his onyx one. Luffy's eyes traced Nami's face, seeing how red she was, and how much more swollen her lips had become. As soon as his eyes focused on Nami's lips, she turned a darker shade of red. Standing here in front of Luffy, pinned against his door, made her feel slightly awkward. Also taking in mind what had just happened.
"I... I think I have to go back to my ro-" Nami looked around and her expression turned into disbelieving, seeing the map of the world. "This is my room..."
Luffy also looked, being equally surprised. "Ah... Yeah. I thought it was my room..."
"Idiot! You got me disoriented in the hallway!"
"You thought my chest was a door. Who is the idiot?!"
"You! I never said that! You assumed I thought that!"
"They are at it again," Robin said with a giggle, enjoying the night view with Zoro in the crow's-nest. Zoro grinned, taking a gulp of his sake. "Maybe I shouldn't have put the outlet back on yet. But operation 'Make the engaged couple kiss' succeeded."
"Just right in time. My sake is almost gone. And I really need some sleep."
"Luffy and Nami are still bickering, so you could better wait. You won't get some sleep now. Sanji's face is very funny though, now he realizes Nami and Luffy are in the same room."
Zoro clicked his tongue in annoyance... He wished he could see it.
"Now get out of my room so I can sleep!" Nami said, blushing slightly again. They only noticed now Nami was still pinned between Luffy and her door. Luffy blinked, seeing she sounded mad, but she didn't seem mad. "B-But first... I want a..." Nami placed her hands on Luffy's chest again, clutching on his cardigan while looking at the ground with a pout. "... Goodnight kiss..."
A little smile grew on Luffy's lips, hearing something like that from Nami. Even though she muttered it, it was audible enough for Luffy to hear. Luffy leaned forward, but before they kissed, Nami slapped the switch off and the room was dark again. The lights in Nami's room suddenly went on again, and Robin's grown hand already disappeared as she was keeping a literal eye on them. The couple didn't notice because they both had their eyes closed as they were kissing each other, enjoying their warmth and touch.
As soon as they parted and opened their eyes again, Nami noticed the lights were back on again. Even her confusion right now was bigger than the embarrassment of seeing Luffy so close against her. Nami put the lights off again, and after a few seconds, she saw they went back on… Thanks to a sprouted arm. Nami's jaw almost fell on the ground, seeing who was the culprit.
"ROBIN!" Nami yelled from the top of her lungs. Nami pushed Luffy away, who couldn't help but snicker when he found out what had happened. Apparently, Robin was playing games with them. If the Archaeologist didn't, the Captain probably still didn't know about the nice sensation that was kissing.
Luffy frowned a bit as he placed a hand on his stomach. What was this tickling, warm feeling?
He ended up shrugging his shoulders and he almost instinctively wanted to straighten his strawhat… Which he left with Shanks. Luffy felt really empty without the strawhat, but it was for a good reason… It was to start a new chapter.
As soon as Luffy wanted to leave Nami's bedroom, whom he could hear yelling upstairs in complete embarrassment, Luffy suddenly stood still for a second. His eyebrow knitted in a frown and he suddenly heard Zoro's voice through the audio tubes. "Luffy, there's a sh -"
"I know!" Luffy yelled back, already seeing the ship heard towards them. Luffy ran downstairs and towards the beach, already knowing what ship was heading there way. Luffy waved with his arms and a huge smile. "SHAAAAAAN-"
"SHUT UP, LUFFY! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG IT TOOK ME TO CONSOLE MAKINO!?"
Luffy's smile turned 180 degrees. The other crewmembers also arrived on the beach, under the starry skyline looking at Shanks as his ship was slowly arriving with the rest of his crew.
"SHE COULDN'T STOP CRYING, DAMNIT!"
"Maybe she is pregnant and hormonal," Usopp exclaimed.
"SHUT UP. YOUR DAD SAID THE SAME. HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE KAYA PREGNANT AND HORMONAL!?" Shanks yelled, shutting Usopp up. Usopp still felt proud saying the same thing as Yasopp, though, who showed a thumbs-up from the ship.
Shanks landed on the sand as soon as the ship came to a halt. Luffy rolled his lips inside seeing the daggers Shanks was glaring at the Pirate King. "Also, do not give the hat back until I tell you to give it back. You aren't a great pirate yet."
"He is literally the Pirate King," Zoro muttered softly.
Luffy was confused, but he turned into the same happy boy he was when Shanks placed the strawhat back to the third owner. "Sure, he is. But for how long?"
"Why?" asked Robin with a cocked eyebrow. "Is something about to happen?"
"Who knows… Maybe something will happen, maybe nothing will happen." Shanks looked at crew members who all looked slightly worried. "You made a lot of enemies. Don't be surprised if they try and get their revenge."
A snicker got the crew out of their thought, all looking at Luffy. "We already beat them once, so we will again. So, let's party now and worry about it later!"
Shanks looked dumbfounded, seeing his whole crew facepalm or grunt but no one seemed fully surprised. Nami slouched down and hugged her own knees, disbelieved she was so passionate with this freaking idiot a few minutes ago. Their lives could be on stake, and all he was thinking about was a freaking party…
Nami looked up, seeing the crew, but especially Luffy, look at her. "If something were to happen, I will kill you," Nami seethed looking at the smiling man. "But sure, let's party."
The crew cheered and Shanks didn't know how to react. H-He literally warned them about-
Sanji handed Shanks an ice-cold beer, getting the Yonkou out of his thoughts.
"… Yeah, ok, fuck it," Shanks grinned and lifted up his beer. "Guys, let's party!"
Both crews cheered and partied until late, having yet another party with no idea what the future holds,
Not the ending, thanks for reading!
