A/N: Hey guys, here is the last chapter! I may have severely underestimated the time needed to pack-move-unpack in a short notice (re:my apartment getting flooded) and that got in the way of a speedy update.

Anyways, enjoy the conclusion to this odd little tale!

I don't own pitch perfect.

Beca sat nervously at the waiting room, her feet tapping away an irregular beat as she impatiently awaited the news.

It's been five years with her quite literal brush with Death, the whole trial and mishap that ended it earlier than expected. She didn't get much of an explanation from Emily, other than they were impressed, she passed with flying colors, and that they've given her a prize for that – she gets to keep her life and all the happiness she's found for living.

Emily was still around, she said that now that she's a Bella, she had to keep up appearances. Beca took whatever comfort she could from that, having her guardian angel just a phone call away had its perks. It kept her calm at night when she feared that shell wake up realizing all of it was just a dream or that this was actually hell or that the reapers are after her soul again. But nothing like that actually happened. She felt the warmth of sunny summer days, the cool of the spring rain, the brisk winter chill, and the gentle cool breeze of fall. She felt Chloe's warm hands in her own, sweet kisses on her lips and more.

No, this wasn't a dream.

This was real.

This was, if Beca were to be honestly cheesy and sentimental, a true blessing.

A literal gift of life.

Chloe seemed to have forgotten about her predicament but nothing changed about the way she felt for her. The Bellas too, although she would pick up an odd inaudible comment from Lilly every now and then. Jesse thinks it's a wonderful story for a film after Beca tried to recount everything and update him. Both Benji, Emily, and even Luke – whenever he was around that is – would brush the topic off. Beca assumed that it was supposed to be a secret, that some magical being – probably Death – made sure that her friends forgot about the very thing that brought Beca to them in the first place. But like with Chloe, nothing has changed. If anything, things progressed and grew with her new found family remaining as tight-knit as ever.

And so, perhaps, Beca thought, it truly wasn't the circumstances that brings us together that defines the bonds we form, but rather the journey we go through, what we've learned from them. It was never about the finer technical details – they all bled together in the end. It was the smiles, the laughter, and sometimes the tears.

Beca truthfully was just grateful. Not everyone gets a second chance in life.

And now her gift of life was about to give her another, even better gift of life.

"Would you stop with that nervous habit of yours, Mitchell." Aubrey commented, trying to do her best to be patient in the hospital waiting room as she was. She sounded rather irritated, and worried, and really Beca couldn't help but share the same sentiments.

Stacie, who was sitting next to Aubrey, chuckled putting a hand on her paramour's lap. "Leave her be, Bree. Beca's got every right to be nervous, so just her."

"Yeah, cap," Amy then joined in the conversation, "I know it's not everyday a new Bella is born, but you know, you're technically not one of the moms."

"Yes, but my best friend is the mom giving birth. And a c-section!" Aubrey nervously went on, as she recounted the medical history related to why Chloe was now in surgery.

"Complications happen, luckily we have very capable doctors on hand." Stacie then said, trying to calm her down.

"Did I miss anything?" Jesse then said, turning up to where his friends were. Beca shook her head as Jesse handed her much needed tea to calm herself down. He was supposed to be on a business trip but cancelled his plans as soon as Beca called saying they were rushing to the hospital.

A group chat soon ensued and Jesse was just the next person who joined her – with Chloe – Aubrey, Stacie, and Amy and who all arrived within minutes of each other. Truth be told, Aubrey and Stacie arrived before the ambulance with Chloe and Beca even got there.

Jesse was given a quick update by Stacie while Amy updated their group of where the rest of the Bellas were. Emily was with Benji, close to where the hospital was. Cynthia Rose just boarded on her flight with her wife on the way to LA, Jessica and Ashely were on a road trip and have changed their course. They should be back in the city in the next three hours, Lilly simply said she was going to be there tonight, Flo, on the other hand, got stuck in a meeting and just got out. She sent a message she was on her way to be with the family to greet their newest member.

Amy had just finished her updates when Chloe's doctor stepped out and greeted Beca with a smile to give her an update. The words really didn't register all that he said, she just made a mental note of the important things, before running straight to where Chloe was.

Well, Chloe and their baby.

It wasn't after an hour or two until Chloe woke up, by then Beca had been back in her room, cradling then little girl that caused all the trouble in her arms, the sheer joy on Chloe's face as Beca handed their little girl to the redhead was enough to make Beca realize that she can never truly stop falling in love with Chloe.

She couldn't even fathom how things were drastically different one lifetime ago.

If it hadn't been for Death, she wouldn't have found the meaning of her life and all that she held dear.

All that she knew she would treasure.

All that she's found and more.

Chloe gave her a curious look, "What's on your mind?" she asked, tired, but nonetheless contently in bliss.

"What do you mean?" Beca asked.

"You have that look again." Chloe noted, she always notes it. Beca wasn't even aware of it, but she has this certain look on her face every now and then. A look that Chloe always notices when she's deep in her thoughts about her trial.

But Beca simply shook her head. "Nothing, I just love you." she replied with a shrug and Chloe chuckled. In Beca's defense, it was the truth.

In a sense of it, love found Beca when she was lost, confused, and overwhelmed.

Love found her in death and life again.

Love saved her soul.

All because she decided to take a chance. Sure, her guardian angel literally had to drag her, but Beca relented.

And she was all for the better of it.

After all, you'll never know what you'll find when you take that one step, take that chance, that one moment, and live.

That's it for now guys! Not sure when I'll be back, I kinda want to focus on my own stories for now so I'll be taking a break from fanfic writing. Love Bechloe (and Supercorp) and new to my writing? Check out my other fics in the meantime.
