PLEASE READ!

I am putting this story on hiatus. I don't know if or when I will continue to work on it, so I've put my plans for the rest of the chapters below to hopefully make it feel slightly less like I just ended it in the middle (which is exactly what I am doing.) If you have any questions, please ask, but right now I have writer's block over this story so it will just have to end here for the foreseeable future. Sorry. Thanks for reading!

-During the battle Team Rocket apparently try to steal some of Erika's most expensive perfume

-Ash and Erika only know this through the announcements out of the intercom

-The GAs at the gym manage to stop Team Rocket and capture them for the police

-Ash admits that he thought Erika's gym was weak but none of the towns he'd been at before—even Viridian—had managed to capture Team Rocket, so he was sorry for the misconception

-In it Ash is made to memorize Kanto law, way more complex medicine, and much more

Ash's birthday is May 22nd

Chapter 89/1: Perseverance

-Beginning of the Orange Islands

-As a graduation present Ash was given a shiny Axew

-Ash is sent there first because it has been decided that due to his actions with Team Rocket he is very good and they want him to work in conjunction with the international police

-Before he can do that, though, he has to prove himself by going through the Orange League with a number of other highly gifted recent Ace Trainers from around the globe

-MUCH more difficult than the anime, with less help

Chapter ?/1: Willpower

-Ash is finally granted permission to continue in a new region as an Ace Trainer

-He is sent to Johto because it seems as if a number of uncaptured Rocket elites were absorbed into Johto's own villainous team: Team Galactic.

-While helping deal with this Ash is still attempting to become Champion. (15 for first attempt, 16 for second, 16 to 17 for third)

-Orange Islands— as a final test, Ace Trainers from all the major nations are sent to one of the minor nation's leagues to ensure they can complete it in only a short time. Ash and Gary are both sent to the orange islands

-Johto— Ash then goes to Johto because ANY eight gyms from any of the major nations count and they share a language (Kantoan and Johtoan are technically just dialects—the actual language is named after the mountain). After challenging Johto and barely doing better than he had the first time he decides to challenge a different league entirely (by the end of this he is about seventeen)

-challenges Hoenn but at the same time also continues acting as an Ace Trainer and deciding to meet the requirements for becoming a Hoenn ranger, which are known for being more vigorous than most other regions. Here he does fairly well but he doesn't know if that's because he's actually improved because most of the tough opponents fought each other too early. 18 by the end

-goes back to Kanto to help set up the battle frontier as an Ace Trainer, standing invitation to go back once he's defeated a gym leader. Fall by the end

-Goes to Sinnoh because that's where the current youngest champion is to try their league. 19 by the end

-Is sent to Unova due to its rising domestic terrorist issue and a call for aid. Also challenges league— officially gets through all but one elite four member for the first time. 20 by the end

-Goes to Kalos at the behest of Professor Oak. 21 by the end.

-is called to Alola to help them transition from a minor to a major league
