A/N: I don't read a lot in this fandom. For the purpose of this story, Danny has separated from his ghost half, who still hangs out and lives with him.

"Okay, okay, let's try a brain teaser," Danny suggested. Phantom floated over to the bed and stared at him curiously. "Imagine you're running through the woods, lost, and on the verge of freezing and starving to death."

"Am I being chased?" Phantom interrupted.

"What?"

"Is someone chasing me? If not, I can't imagine why I would be stuck in such a situation."

Danny rolled his eyes. "Yes, you're being chased."
"By who?"

"It doesn't matter!"

"It most certainly does! Who is chasing me will determine my behavior."

Danny smacked his face and took a deep breath. "Fine. Uh... Ember's chasing you."

Phantom shook his head. "No. She would never chase me through the woods. She prefers audiences and crowds."

"Fine, Skulker!"

"Okay. That's more believable."

"Can I continue with the puzzle now?"

"Of course."

With a mild glare, Danny spoke again. "So Skulker is chasing you through the woods and you're on the verge of starving and freezing to death. You manage to find a log cabin that's hidden away. Inside you find a lamp, a stove, and a fireplace. You have one match, what do you light first?"

"Nothing."

"...Nothing?"

"Lighting anything would alert Skulker to my whereabouts. I would not take the chance. Also I cannot starve or freeze to death so there would be no point."

Danny dropped his head back on the pillow. How could a ghost be so literal?

"Fine. Pretend I'm the one in the cabin then. What should I light first?"

"Again, nothing." Phantom sat up and stared at him seriously. "You should use your mental connection to call for me and I will come to save you."

"Oh for the love of—the match! The match! You would light the match first!"

Phantom tilted his head. "No, as I said, you would..."

"Forget it!" Danny exclaimed. "For a creature that most people think isn't real you sure do have trouble imagining things."

Phantom frowned at Danny's annoyed face. "I do not understand your scenario or why you think I'm incorrect with my answer. But I will say this again." He leaned forward, looking Danny straight in the eye. "If ever Skulker is hunting you, you should call for me immediately. If any ghost is after you, you need to call me. I'll come protect you."

Danny smiled in exasperation. "I know, Phantom. But this wasn't a 'what if' scenario. This was a brain teaser to test your logic skills. And you failed."

The ghost sat up and bristled. "I did no such thing. I answered your question."

"Incorrectly."

"Depends on who you ask."

A/N: A little less than 500 words. Felt like writing a fun drabble for a laugh.
