I'm glad that you guys are enjoying this so far! Sorry I haven't updated lately; I went to Comic Con this past weekend so I was preparing for my cosplay for that last week and enjoying my spring break. I hope this chapter will make up for it, though it may be a bit short. However, I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless. Thanks! And remember to review!

That had been three years ago, and their routine had been pretty consistent; she went about her day, going through psych ward then through those needing counsel from gen pop. Usually, Lincoln was her stop towards the end of the week since they only had once a week meetings. Today happened to be that day, but she needed to stop by Dr. Tancredi's office first. She'd had a massive headache all day and didn't think she could deal with the constant light change in the death row cell block. Hopefully, Sara had gotten a fresh supply of meds since she'd been running a bit low earlier in the week.

She told the nurse out front why she needed to see Sara and she guided her back to the exam room.

"Sara, Dr. Andrews to see you."

"Send her in."

The nurse held the door open for Paige as she walked in, closing it shut as Sara asked, "Hey, Paige. Whatcha need?"

"Some aspirin. My head's been killing me all day and I don't think I can handle the light changes going to Lincoln's cell."

She noticed the inmate in a long-sleeve gray shirt, his sleeve rolled up exposing his tattoo sleeve, sitting on the exam chair by the window. His eyes had perked up when she had mentioned Lincoln. She didn't think she'd seen him in gen pop before, nor had his file yet come through her office. She noticed he was one of Sara's diabetic patients, judging by the insulin bottling on the rolling cart beside him.

"You know Lincoln Burrows," the inmate asked, his voice firm despite the shock on his face.

"Yes, I'm his therapist," she informed him. "Dr. Andrews." She stuck out her hand for him to shake; he took it after a moment, introducing himself.

"Michael Scofield."

She smiled slightly, thinking of all the times she could see how proud Lincoln was of his younger brother. She was finally happy to put a face to a name; sadly, it had to be in a place like Fox River.

"You're his brother," she acknowledged. "He's told me a lot about you. All good, I promise. Though you don't look as much like a punk as he said you did."

"I thought you said all good things," he laughed.

"I may have embellished a bit."

Silence permeated the room for a moment before Paige finally asked the question weighing on her mind.

"Does he know you're here, Michael?"

He looked to the floor for a split second, something she wouldn't have seen had she not looked for it. But it was there.

"Michael, I can't tell him. You're going to have to let him know somehow. And I need you to do it soon. I don't know how Lincoln will react when he finds out. And without him having that knowledge, it impedes my sessions with him."

"I understand, Dr. Andrews."

"Good. I hope you do. I'm going to see him this afternoon, but I won't say anything. However, if he doesn't know by our next meeting, I will tell him."

He nodded, indicating that he understood.

She gave a slight nod back, giving Tancredi her thanks for the meds, making her way out of the infirmary in the direction of the death row cells. She looked back, meeting Michael's eyes one more time, hoping that he really had gotten the message. Lincoln's execution date was coming up soon; she was barely scrapping by in getting him mentally prepared for his impending death. Though, how could you ever prepare someone for that moment? But now, with Michael being here, it was going to make her job even more difficult. She found herself thinking back on the same words she'd thought when she first met Lincoln: Please don't make my life hell…

*UPDATED* Hey, everyone! I promise, I'm going to get the third chapter of this story up soon. Been busy with school, family surgeries, and work. I hope you guys are still intent on reading more. Now, this chapter has been updated because there were a few discrepancies in the timeline. Let me know if there's anything up with this new update and if I need to change anything else so far. I want to keep this story as close to the source material and timeline, but also want it to be original when it comes to my character and her part in being in the story.
