Scrolling through the books kept in the endless shelves of this library, I think about my life. The things I have done wrong, the things I could do if I were given a chance. As I selected a fair share of books I wanted to read and about to leave, I saw an extremely beautiful girl in her late teens wearing a white dress entering the library. Her hair that reached her neck and was purple at the ends, moving slightly due to the wind by the fans.

I froze as I looked at her purple eyes and her breathtakingly beautiful smile that was surely not a fake one. She scrolled her eyes in the library, maybe to find the bookshelf of her choice, when her eyes landed on me. Instead of showing the usual 'that's a creep' expression people give me, she just smiled.

My heart stopped for a second, and when it returned , my heartbeat still uneven.

She approached me as I got frozen in time just looking at her eyes.

"Are you a fan of Christy too?" She asked

I snapped out of my daze. Christy? Oh, the book.

"Y-Yeah, I got interested in it as the light novel shelve was way far off in the distance"

...

Well done Hachiman. 8 million points to you.

Instead of an irritated expression, I heard a slight giggle in the form of an elegant laughter.

Let's use one of Komachi's tricks to get her name at least.

"What did you tell your name was again?" I asked in the most realistic tone of mine.

She looks at me amused

"I never told you my name."

"Well, I know but my sister taught me that this is how you start a conversation with girls" she laughs at my innocent rebuttal.

"Either you have a wicked sense of humor or you are just too scared of talking to girls are you?"

"I vote for the former" this incited a small giggle from her

"Well anyways, my name is Yukinoshita Haruno, and yours?"

"Hikigaya Hachiman"

...

"How long have you been here?" I started to initiate a conversation after the pregnant silence.

"I'm quite new here, maybe a couple of weeks or so. And you?"

"Same, just a couple of weeks"

"Do you mind if I asked how you got here?" I asked her

"Well no, I was going to drop my sister to school when a guy jumped in front of our car to save a dog. Our driver tried to save the guy but we got wrecked instead. Only my sister survived as she was sitting on the opposite end of the car"

...

"So it was your car."
