For the Marathon Competition (red/rage)

Pike falls, the floor beneath his body quickly staining red. And though Octavia appears calm on the surface, inside she is a whirlwind of fury. It isn't enough. He's dead, and still there is no closure.

She walks aimlessly, nowhere to go, nothing to do, only fire burning inside her body.

In the city streets, she stops. No one notices her as she screams, thrusting her fists against the stone building again and again until she can feel the skin break over her knuckles. Everyone is so caught up in their own grief that no one spares her a second thought.

She slumps, resting her head against the wall, tears burning her eyes. The war is over, and she can finally weep.
