Hey everyone,
IMPORTANT UPDATE! This will be the last month where I will be updating all 14 stories at the end of every month. I am just going to do the same thing everyone else does; either fully finish a story and then post the full thing or finish a chapter and then post it once it's written. However, there are stories, like to Read Into The Universe, where I will probably try to finish the whole thing and edit out the mistakes and whatnot and only then post the finished product.
I'm sorry if this upsets some of you, but I know about myself that I NEED to do this. Over the course of the last few months, I just haven't felt as if I have given these stories the attention they deserve and while I am happy with some stories and how some chapters are written, do I just feel lost and disappointed looking back on others. I'm just starting to feel like thinking: "I could have done better." when looking back at some of the chapters I wrote, so I made this decision. Onto the story.
This chapter is going to be dedicated to WhiteElfElder, who really came through for me when it comes to Athena and what I asked for at the end of the last chapter. I also want to clear up a bit of confusion that some of you might be feeling. Herodus knows that Athena is his half-sister, but because he respects the centuries of age between them, he calls her his aunt as, to him, that's a more respectable title.
Hope that helps,

Chapter 28
A Godly Intervention

Hogwarts Grounds, Scotland
Minerva's POV
"Thank you for meeting with me, Lady Athena. I truly didn't know who else to turn to. I mean, I know that there's Sirius and Remus, but they seem to have vanished of the face of the earth. And even Mss. Chase seems not able to solve this growing issue." I say as I take my seat on a large bench out on the far outer parts of the grounds, far away from any possible listening ears as this spot of land on the grounds isn't exactly popular to study at.
"I have indeed noticed thing being amiss these past few days and even my own daughter seems quite troubled. Yet she also seems incapable or perhaps unwilling to confide in me. Perhaps you could enlighten me? As for Lords Black and Lupin, they are out in the country, preparing a large home for all of the Olympian Twelve and Herodus to stay at when summer begins." The Goddess explains me and I nod before sighing as I say:
"It's Herodus. He is over-studying – to the point that it worries even Filius, various Seventh Years and even Mss. Granger. At first things were fine after that one Chess match between Herodus and Mr. Weasley and Herodus started studying for his exams by getting students from all years to help him study and question him at random times. But then he got this one question that a Seventh Year Ravenclaw knew the answer to and – it went from there."
The Goddess frowns at this and asks: "How bad are we talking here?" And while I have been keeping this to myself every time I meet Herodus in class, do I now allow my worry to seep through my tone as I say: "Terrible. He believes he needs to learn the Patronus in order to successfully cast a Disarming jinx. He eats less and less every meal and hardly showers anymore, only opting for a wash or a quick Cleaning Spell, which only helps so much.
Mr. Longbottom even told me that Herodus hasn't done anything he usually enjoys, such as meditating at the lake, riding around on that horse of his or playing chess, in over a week. He is losing himself in his studies." The Goddess sighs and mutters: "This is my fault. I put too much emphasis on how badly I wanted him to pass this last test. I should have seen this coming. Father is actually quite the same from time to time."
"What do we do?" I ask and the ethereal woman turns thoughtful for a second before she starts to smirk and says: "We combine." This confuses me and the woman stands up as she says: "Meet me at the Seventh Floor Corridor and make sure to take Herodus with you as well as Filius. I will need both your help to see this plan through." I nod, part of me telling me not to trust her blindly like I did Dumbledore, but I know these two are beyond different.
I stand up myself and say: "Give me half an hour." The woman nods and vanishes in a bright flash of light. And to my relief, do I find myself having the good luck of spotting Mr. Potter as I am heading off to find Filius in his office, which is just a few corridors away from the library, where the boy was, again heading to for more studying. "Mr. Potter, your Tutor requests your presence." I tell the boy, who nods at me and follows me.
I make sure to pick up Filius and take them both to the Seventh Floor corridor. Yet as I head there, do I feel a sense of confusion and curiosity overcome me as I have always believed this corridor to be nothing more than a passageway between the Grand Staircase and the Divination tower. Yet as we pass through it, do I suddenly
spot a set of doors I have never seen before. This intrigues me and upon opening, I find myself greatly amazed.
The room is very simplistic and the walls are made of actual clay, which makes me wonder how that's possible in a castle made of rocks, stone and bricks. The floor is pure metal and there are small fireplaces in all four walls every few feet. And every few feet on the floor has a table set there, with the top actually being able to be twisted on the axis and with a box of tools on the right of each table. "Ehm, where are we?" Harry asks curiously.
"In the Room of Requirement, also known as the Come and Go Room. This room has been build into the castle by one of the first and only children of Lady Hecate and he designed it with both his mother's powerful skill in magic in mind as well as her ability to decide crossroads. Because of that, as long as it doesn't break certain rules of magic, this room can be formed into whatever the user desires and/or requires of it." Lady Athena explains.
"Wait a second, this is where I found those books that I needed to pass my interview to become the Charms Teacher. I've been wondering where that room went for years." Filius exclaims and suddenly a memory of my own overcomes me. Yet I keep quiet as I have no interest in sharing the private moment that my mind reminds me about with either my colleague or one of my youngest students. Instead I turn my focus to the tables.
Lady Athena spots this and snaps her fingers. And upon this sound being heard, do various forms of stone appear on each and every tabletop. "Herodus, I owe you an apology. I gave you a task that, upon me setting it I believed you would need little to no help to accomplish. However, I should have remembered the fact that you are father's son and that father is almost the immortal epitome of determination and a will to succeed.
Because of that, have I decided on a change of pace. Your studying is becoming something that worries everyone who cares for you, Herodus, and even those that don't like Granger. Because of that, have I come up with an idea on how you can study, get the marks that I know you can get and not work yourself into the Hospital Wing before your exams. As you know, Herodus, I am not just the Goddess of Wisdom, but also of Art.
Because of that will we start to meet here every day for one hour a day. And every day I will help you study one subject, just one, Herodus. You have studied enough that you can lessen your studying from this point on and still ace your exams, I am sure of it. And at the end of each of these hours, we will spend a little bit of time on these; I will teach you how to sculpture.
And trust me, little one, that will only help you later when you get either Hephaestus or Ares for your mentor. Also, yes, there will be a final exam for this, but that will not be until after your final exam for your wizarding test. And Herodus, I do not want to hear of you studying outside of this schedule outside of doing homework, understand?" The boy seems reluctant, but nods. Athena moves over and lowers herself to his level as she says:
"You're ready, Herodus. You could take those exams today and ace them. This is just to make sure that you are emotionally and physically capable to take them." This makes Harry rub the back of his neck with a guilty smile on his face and he mutters: "I – guess I went a little overboard, huh?" Which makes me hold back a snort and makes Filius laugh as he says: "You can say that." Lady Athena turns to us and says:
"Professor Flitwick, Professor McGonagall, in the unlikely event that I am unable to help Herodus study, would you be opposed to coming here with him in my place to aid him?" And instantly the both of us shake our heads and Filius asks: "Would you be opposed if we start using this method for other students who might either try to overachieve or has trouble with certain studies?" Yet the Goddess smirks and asks: "Now why would I be opposed to that?"
One week later

Harry's POV
I cannot begin to describe how grateful I am for Professor McGonagall for going to Aunt Athena and telling her about my trouble with over-studying. Now that I am only studying one subject per day, I feel like I am much better able to remember the things I learn and I even find myself enjoying the sculpture crafting quite a lot.
I had been a little worried about it at first, especially because of all of the fireplaces all over the room, but Aunt Athena had proven that, if she wanted, she could take over the role of teacher of any member of staff without any problem and even make First Years learn Third Year material. She had taught me how to hold my equipment, had me start with the softest form of stone that she could find and asked me to only turn a square bit of rock into a round-shape.
I actually messed up with one side by accidentally chopping off more than I expected and had tried to fix it by sculpting around the area, yet this had made that side just smaller and tinier and made the whole circle deformed. Yet while Aunt Athena had just waited for me to get to a point where I just couldn't fix it, had she not been angry. She even told me it was a mistake that every starting sculpture made with his first five tries.
She also asked me to, when I felt like it, envision what I would like to make for my sculpture exam. And while I want to create something that really represents Aunt Athena, do I not want to do anything too cliché or too predictable when it comes to the elements that represent the Goddess of Wisdom. Yet as all of my exams draw ever closer, do I find myself thinking back to the exams that Father Poseidon and Father Hades put me through. And those thoughts give me an idea.
What could that be?
Okay, so this chapter really wasn't all that long and I obviously didn't go into too much detail, but I plan to make that a bit different come next chapter. I know that PS/SS only slightly summarized the wizarding exams and gave a few examples of what Harry and his year mates went through and I will probably do something similar for most, but not all exams. And I definitely plan to make a good full chapter about the end of the year. And with the end, comes one returning obstacle,
Dumbledore,
