David and dr. Roman

"Ah, David-san!"

Oh, that man again, dr. Romani Archeman. This man, since the first time I was summoned, was really happy and sometimes followed me around. Well, it couldn't be help. After all, dr. "Dr. Romani Archeman isn't it? Is there something wrong?" I asked him.

Right, after turned into human, he had taken a liking to sweets especially cakes. By the way, why did he look so embrassed asking that to me? I wonder.

"I would love too."

A strawberry shortcake. It tasted not too sweet, just about right. I looked at Roman who sat in front of me. He was happily eating his cake. I still... couldn't believe it that there would be the time for me and my son Solomon to spend our time... like a real family. I had to admit, it still a little hard for me to face him as it sometimes reminded me of my sin in the past...

"Umm... David-san?" Roman called my name.

"Ah, yes?"

"How is it? The cake. I-I baked them myself, so If the taste is a bit-"

"It's pretty good actually. You have some skills, Roman." I said to him while smiled.

"Re-really?" Roman said surprised mixed with happiness.

"Yes." I said. "Well done, son."

I knew that this moment wouldn't last forever. But, even If it was just for a short time, please just let me feel it a bit longer.

I stood at the entrance of Romani Archeman's office. Then, I made my way to a hidden place where he hide all of his sweets. A slice of strawberry shortcake was in there. I took it then sat on a chair and ate it.

"... It really is good... Roman... Solomon..."

I closed my eyes remembered him again. A single tear escaped from the corner of my eyes. I opened my eyes and smiled.

"Farewell... my son..."
