Ratigan was walking around, reading the newspaper until his concentration was cut short when he jolted at the sound of Fidget's snore and he spotted the bat, who lie sound asleep on the cobblestone ground, using a clean sheet of paper as a blanket. The rat wanted to look at something and did his best to slither it from Fidget's grasp. Fidget couldn't help but chuckle over his funny dream and felt as though his boss was tickling him. He laughed so hard, he couldn't contain himself and kicked Ratigan in the face by mistake. "Ow!" Ratigan roared in frustration. He knew Fidget wouldn't do it on purpose, but was too exceedingly mad to care. What mattered most to Ratigan was that he fortunately grabbed the piece of paper. He was lucky to even have it at all because Heaven help him if he hadn't snatched it on time.

"Oh, it's a list of plots I plan to outwit Basil!" he cheered in a whisper. Instinctively, he dropped the newspaper, which landed on Fidget. "Oh, no! My newspaper!" complained Ratigan, "Great! Now, he's using it as a blanket! It's not a blanket! I need that!" During this, he unsuccessfully attempted to pull the newspaper from the sleeping bat, but the newspaper ripped a little and he wound up being kicked in the face again. "Ow!" he growled again since this time Fidget's peg leg hurt his face, "Is he pretending to sleep? I guess not. Oh well, I didn't really want to look at it any further, anyway because it's about Basil and how great and heroic he is."

To Ratigan's amazement, the ticklish bat had finally calmed down and remained asleep.

The End

AN: When teamdark2741 said that Ratigan deserved to be kicked in the face for waking Fidget up, I agreed and Ratigan needs to get another newspaper or list and not take Fidget's blanket! Exactly, Ratigan just needs to let poor Fidget sleep! Zzz…
