Somewhere in Time

Castiel couldn't bear to look at the wing-pattern scorch marks outlining Gabriel's body. He raised tear-stained eyes to Heaven while wondering where angels went when they died.

Wherever it is, I doubt they're ready for a Trickster, he thought with a sad smile.

"Sucker," came a blaring voice from behind him.

Castiel turned, angered by the disrespectful tone. He blinked at seeing an uninjured Gabriel.

"Sucker?" repeated the formerly-dead angel, holding out a lollipop.

"H-how?"

"I must've broken a mirror, because apparently it took future-you seven years to realize you could go back in time and warn me," smirked Gabriel.
