8th of March - International Women's Day

Judy walked into the lobby of Precinct One, ready for another day of serving and protecting the citizens of Zootopia. Although, she didn't expect to see Clawhauser's desk buried under bundles of red roses. It was as if someone intended to drown the receptionist in a crimson garden. One small detail was a frame placed in front with something written in it.

She approached cautiously and scanned the wall of flowers to eventually find Benjamin behind it.

"Hey, Benji! What's up?"

"Oh, hey, Judy!" he waved at her with a big smile on his face. "If you're talking about flowers it's for the Female's Day. Bogo asked me to give a rose to every female officer in the precinct, as well as any female guests we have today."

"Wow! That's rather nice of him," she eyed the vast number of flowers again and this time she paid more attention to the decorated frame standing on the desk for everyone to see. There was a text inside, written on a sheet of paper.

"What's this?" she asked the cheetah.

"Oh! That's Nick's idea. I heard he wrote it himself."

The doe's ears perked up. "Really?" her interest piqued, Judy leaned forward to read it.

We find this hard

To form the right words

It is a struggle, so often fought

On this day though

We need to let them flow

.

How much you affect us

How much we adore you

Much has been said

Thousands of poems, songs and books

What else can we add?

.

Only our best wishes

Spoken from the heart

Please continue to be

What you are to us

.

Our beacons of light

Most glorious sight

Comfort for the heart

Souls of great might

.

We pledge our respect

And undying awe

If one were to be rude

We shall strike him hard

.

And to be bold

Your favor we ask

To grace us with your

Most beautiful smile

Male Officers of Precinct One

"Well… this is…" she tried to find the right the right words.

Benjamin rested his several chins on his paws. "Most girls said something along the lines 'it's no Shakesbear, but it's kinda' sweet'," he chuckled. Then he picked one of the roses and offered it to Judy. "A flower for the lady?"

She accepted it with a smile. "Why thank you, sir."

Judy sniffed the flower as she headed for the bullpen for their routine designation of assignments. Nick still wasn't there, which was hardly surprising, as she was always earlier than him. But she didn't expect the sight on their desk when she hopped on the chair.

A single, violet rose with a small card pinned to it.

The doe quirked a brow and read the message on the card.

Not one calm night for me

Since I met the amethyst in those eyes

What is a fox to do

When he was so viciously robbed

And the girl responsible

Refuses to hand my heart back

Though I must confess

She can hold on to it

With all her might

Just as she was reading, the insides of her ears were gradually warming up and turning into a darker shade of pink. And she wasn't given time to wrap her mind around it, when a familiar voice called to her from beside the chair.

"Like it?"

Judy snapped her head towards the speaker to see a charming smile on her partner's muzzle. Nick took off his sunglasses and gazed upon her with affection she never saw before.

Certain that she was almost as red as the roses in the lobby, Judy adorned a shy smile.

"I love it…"

At this point, Nick's smile couldn't get any wider and he climbed onto the chair beside her to place a quick kiss on her forehead, sending a pleasant shiver through her body.

"If a certain bunny is interested, there could be much more than that in the future," he sent her a wink, searching her eyes for the answer

She replied with a smile of her own. "I'm sure that she'd be very interested."
