Wonder Woman

A Moonlight's Comfort

Night a quiet time of day, the violet color sky filled with stars sparkling away. The once crescent moon was now full as it light shined upon the Earth. For many seemed to ignore the light, for most humans and animals alike were asleep waiting for what tomorrow may bring.

Yet lying comfortably on the shore of Themyscira with her long raven hair mixed in with the sand Diana Prince let a content sigh rolled off her lips.

While she did appreciate the warmth Apollo gave to the earth, she also gave thanks to Selene as well. For both were needed in the circle of life.

A smile formed across Diana's lips as ripples from the ocean tickled the bottom of her feet. She figured it was merely Poseidon saying hello.

Soon the feel of a refreshing light engulfed the beach, sending a pleasant tingling sensation up and down Diana's body. It even made the hairs on her arms and legs stand on end. The moon was closer than it's ever been before. Some people would call this a supermoon, some kind of geological event. Yet Diana knew the truth as she continued to stare up at the now large white orb in the sky.

Her eyes widen just a little for she thought she caught a glimpse of the moon goddess herself winking back at her. To be bathed by the moonlight of Selene was an honor to Diana in fact she wished it would never end.

Soon a wave of drowsiness washed over the Amazon princess, Hypnos the god of sleep had finally caught up to her. No matter how hard she fought it her eyes finally came to a close. Yet her smile remained for she knew this night would soon come to an end, but tomorrow she would definitely be out here again. To once again enjoy the moonlight's comfort.
