Some days, she truly knew.

Akko smiled so widely back at her those days.

Diana leaned casually against the well worn porch and watched Akko leave the house with a joyous grin on her face and a slight wink, "They like you, you know?"
Diana could not resist smirking back at her, "Of course they do."
The brunette of the two rolled her eyes; her girlfriend had an unbelievable amount of self confidence.

Diana smiled at that and knew; she knew of the warmth in her girlfriend's heart for her.

"Aside from all of that, how's your family taking it?" It was a soft statement from Akko as she stared at her, nervous.

"They love their traditions, and this isn't one of them." There had to be too much disdain in her voice for them despite loving her own family too; Diana was just tired of hearing how Akko would make a better friend than a girlfriend.

They adored Akko, but just did not adore her as their daughter's girlfriend.

She still wondered how she had been unlucky enough to be judged so harshly; perhaps they still wanted her to get back together with one of her ex-boyfriends.

Diana still smiled at just being near the other woman as she figured that this was okay truly.

She curled closer and let those hands fall onto her sides in a loving embrace.

Diana felt those lips meet hers in a gentle kiss and relaxed against her girlfriend that she had long since loved; all felt beautiful yet again.
