Epilogue
"Good morning Norisville!" Heide greeted pleasantly, her image appearing on all the monitors around the school. Most students paused what they were doing to watch them, though a few ignored the monitors and continued their normal routines. Randy only glanced at the closet TV before going back to rummage through his locker for his book report that was due. Howard leaned up against the lockers next to him, munching from a bag of chips as here stared up the TV.
"It's been a week since the city-wide between the Ninja and those two giant monsters, now referred to as the "Big Battle" by most people," Heide continued a small window showing blur video footage of the battle appearing next to her. "The exact details of the fight are still unclear as all the small monsters running around causing chaos distracted everyone, but several reports have confirmed that the Ninja seemed to gain a new form. One that glowed gold and a few people say, seemed to radiate a warm power!"
A still image of the Ninja appeared in his Super Form appeared in the small window. It was hard to make out any details but the flowing scarf was undeniable. The image remained as Heide continued, "Unfortunately the Ninja hasn't been available to comment on the fight or this new upgrade, but we can all agree that he looks super bruce. Plans are moving forward to declare the day of the Big Battle as a city holiday as a way to thank the Ninja for protecting us and somehow undoing all the damage that the fight had caused. Whether or not it does become a holiday, I know I speak for everyone when I saw 'Thank you, Ninja, for everything. You are the greatest hero ever!' Tune in next time as I review a new ice cream flavor that was inspired by the Ninja's new form. Heidi out!"
The monitors flickered off and the students went back to their normal day. Randy showed the last of his things into his bag. As the two friends walked down the hall, Howard commented, "You have got to go Ninja so you can score us some free samples of that ice cream! It's made after you so it's only fair."
"Howard, we've already learned our lesson about using the Ninja to get free stuff," Randy replied with a slight shake of his head. "If we're going to try any of that sweet sweet creamy goodness, we'll have to pay for it like everyone else."
"So you're paying for it," Howard concluded, changing the subject before Randy could really process what he said. "Why isn't Sonic or whatever his name was getting a new ice cream? From what you've told me, he had a huge part in the Big Battle, but no one seems to be talking about him!"
"Sonic mentioned something about the power wave released making everyone but us forget he was here," Randy explained frowning slightly. "It didn't seem right to me, but Sonic said it was fine and that since he isn't from this world it's better if he remained unknown by normal citizens. All that's left is this,"
Randy reached into his bag and pulled out a Power Ball. It was different though, a blue rather than the sickly green it had been and no longer radiated an evil aura.
"He gave you a Power Ball?" Howard said in disbelief as Randy put the ball away. "Didn't you tell him that it's a bad idea to leave one with you? We all know how the last few times went."
"It'll be different now," Randy assured, ignoring Howard's scoff of disbelief. "Sonic purified them all so they won't turn everyone that touches them evil. But they are still powerful and Sonic said it's only a matter of time before McFist or some other supervillain wannabe gets it in their head to use them to take over the world. This one is to help me when that time comes."
"If you say so," Howard said, finishing off hid chips and throwing the bag away. "But until then, we are going rock the newest Grave Puncher game!"
"Oh, you know it!" Randy agreed, the two laughing and joking as the two entered their classroom. Whatever trouble might lie in their future, they weren't worried. For the Ninja would be able to save them all.
Meanwhile, in the heart of the multiverse, Sonic was standing next to Purity, watching the image of Randy and Howard fade from the pool.
"Well that didn't go as planned," the white hedgehog stated. "But everything turned out as it should."
"Plans never go as you expect them, which is why I prefer thinking on my feet," Sonic replied with a grin. "And it seems like their world is in great hands."
"Yes," Purity agreed, lifting up a bubble, viewing flashes of all the potential futures. "Randy will have a lot of challenges to come, but he'll not only be the greatest Ninja of Norrisville but a hero of the whole world. So do you want to rest more are you ready for the next mission?"
"I'm always ready," Sonic replied confidently, doing a quick flip. "So what world needs my help now?"
Purity laughed at Sonic's antics, putting her hand into the pool, calling forth Sonic's next mission.
AN: So when I first create this series, I had all these individual crossovers planned that would conclude in a giant crossover story. What can I say, I was really into the avengers. But considering how long it took for me to finally finish this story, it's safe to say it's not going to happen. To those that stuck around this long, thanks for your support. And you never know, maybe the Sonic Movie will inspire me to keep going.
Thanks for reading! See you who knows when.
