All right, I think it's time we put another focus on another plotline, that is to say, Dib! Let's get this crazy plot going!
With a couple cautious steps, Gaz approached the grinning Zim and the calm and collected Xavier as she looked up at the tall Goth boy. Gaz shuffled her feet nervously, but tried to keep her calm and collected manner... and her righteous fury from strangling Zim as Xavier stared at her for what seemed like five seconds.
Xavier then softly spoke in a dark voice. "So, you're the Goth chick I've been hearing a lot about. I have to say, you look pretty cool."
Gaz's heart started to beat as a form of blush started to form around her, but she hid her face by putting them on her cheeks as she frowned, "Hmph, whatever."
Xavier gave a small dark chuckle. "I have to say, short and to the point. You're not so bad. Zim, my man, you certainly know your Goths."
"ZIM IS A MASTER OF THE GOTH!" Zim said in a smirking triumphant voice as he held a pose. "In fact, Zim knows a lot about the Goth culture! Just... er, still learning from a master Goth, of course."
Xavier noted the green skinned kid giving a small grin as Xavier gave a small smile. "Well, there are plenty of peppy Goths I've seen, but not the first, man. Though I do suggest losing the bright pink striped shirt. You have quite the dark aspect, my man, but the pink shirt? Change it."
"What's wrong with my shirt?" Zim looked confused as he examined himself.
Gaz stood in front of the tall boy, looking pretty much surprised as he turned to her. "As for you, you seem to be a perfect fit. From what your friend says, you hate the world and only like video games and pizza."
Gaz resisted the urge to bite her lip or tug at her collar, but gave a swift nod. Xavier paused as he gave a small smile. "Respect, girl. Major respect."
All of a sudden, a beep was heard as Zim looked around in confusion. Xavier then lifted his arm and looked at his watch. "Oops, I suppose it's time for me to head home. Parentals will no doubt be wondering where I run off to. But you two seem pretty cool to talk to."
"Thanks!" Zim grinned as Gaz rolled her eyes.
"Whatever." Gaz frowned as she crossed her arms and shut her eyes.
"Hey, I'm going to be hanging out at the roller derby tomorrow. Not to do anything fun, just to... hang around, maybe get a drink or two. You want to come with?" Xavier offered.
Zim winked at the Goth boy giving a nod as Gaz gave a small shrug.
"Awesome." Xavier smirked. "Zim, I recommend a new shirt next time. Gaz... creature, he called you? Pretty cute name."
The purple haired Goth girl felt her heart thumping a bit, but kept her stance. "Hmph. Whatever."
Xavier smirked as he started to walk off, with Zim happily waving towards the Goth boy. "See you tomorrow!"
As soon as Gaz was sure Xavier was strictly gone, she immediately turned to Zim and grabbed his neck in anger as she pulled him towards her. Zim choked a bit as he groaned, "What's wrong, Gaz-creature? You seem to be... more agitated? Your normal behavior."
"What the hell, Zim?" Gaz growled. "I was going to take it slow. Step by step! You have no idea how lucky you are right now!"
"Come on, Gaz-creature, give me a break! Xavier called you pretty cute, didn't he?" Zim gave a small smirk.
"Do you even know what that word even means?" Gaz groaned.
"I assumed it has to do with a large letter." Zim shrugged.
The Goth girl looked over to Zim with a flabbergasted look... before sighing. "Oh, Zim... sometimes I wonder how your little Irken mind works."
As Zim and Gaz walked off, little did the two know was that Dib was watching nearby, looking with a frown as he lowered his film camera. "Ugh, I couldn't hear what they were saying at a good angle... but if that kid there is another alien like Zim is... could they be talking about initiating Gaz to their overlords?"
The boy frowned as he looked towards the direction where the Goth boy headed. "Only one way to find out... track down that boy and expose him for the alien that he is!"
With a determined nod, Dib started to head in the direction where Xavier was going. After all, as a paranormal investigator, it was his duty to determine the unknown.
Unfortunately, due to some wrong turns, Dib couldn't get anywhere with his investigation as not only did he not know where to go, but the boy seemed a bit more deflated as he kept walking the streets. Eventually, he found himself sitting down near a fence as he bashed his head against the wall.
"Ugh, why didn't I immediately leave to follow him? I'd have tailed him right about now if not for these people in the road!" Dib groaned as he held his head before he took a deep breath and sat down. "Okay, I'll just write a note and follow Gaz next time to be sure that things don't go wrong..."
However, just as the dark haired boy was about to write down something, a bottle was thrown on the other side of the fence as it hit his head.
"Ow!" Dib groaned as he rubbed his head, before noticing the bottle next to him. Dib picked it up and noticed something inside. His curious mind wandering, he turned the bottle upside down and out of it popped a small piece of paper. He picked it up and read it.
"Ghost of Garbordia resides here!"
"Ghost of Garbodia?" Dib said, looking rather skeptic as he looked over to the other side of the fence. He raised an eyebrow as he started to climb up the fence in curiosity. "That's a strange message... I should be ignoring it, but the paranormal side of me just can't help it! And why do I keep talking to myself?"
Taking a few deep breaths, Dib peered up to the other side of the fence as he looked around. It was at this moment he noticed another bottle on the other side of the fence. He jumped down, momentarily feeling the pain of his legs as they collided with the floor. After a moment of walking, he picked up the bottle and opened it, reading.
"Werewolf Mania happening here!"
Dib's eyes widened as he scratched his head. "A ghost and werewolves? No way it's a coincidence..."
It was then the boy noticed a couple more bottles being thrown out. Curious, he started to head off towards where the bottles were coming from. As he carefully, cautiously approached, he thought he heard some sirens somewhere, but promptly ignored them. Probably some ambulance or fire truck driving by.
Pretty soon, he came to the place where he saw the bottles being thrown from. At first glance, it looked like a small little makeshift hut. Carefully and cautiously, he approached it and knocked on the door. After a moment of waiting, the door opened up as a menacing eye peeked out.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" The voice growled.
"Uh... I'm here to investigate the ghost or... werewolf... or vampire that resides here? Like in the notes?" Dib said as he pointed to the notes in a bottle.
"What? Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead you. I just like sending these bottles out... to try to find truths behind some of the strange activity in the town." The person said as its eye widened in surprise, before it shuffled.
"Strange activity, like... paranormal activity?" Dib asked, looking curious.
"Yes, exactly. Ever since I've came to this town, I've been trying to do research on all things paranormal, ghosts, werewolves, aliens, the like... I've been sending messages in hopes that the real things would come." The person said.
"You believe in the paranormal?" Dib said in surprise.
"Like, who doesn't? I'm all about the paranormal, whether it be real or fake. Actually, it's my current study right now." The voice said.
"Wow..." Dib's eyes lit up as he paused. "Uh, mind if I join you? I have a few messages I want to write to some paranormal people myself."
"Knock yourself out. Give me a minute, I just need to unlock the door." The voice said as the door shut itself. Dib patiently waited as the sounds of unlocking was heard. After that, the door opened as Dib had stared into the face of the most beautiful girl he had ever met in his life.
She was slightly around his age, wearing a black shirt with a strange symbol, a black backpack, and dark blue hair. Her eyes had a shade of purple to them as she had a nonchalant look on her face. Next to her was a black cat-like creature with red eyes and blue horn shaped ears. Dib gave a small smile as he held out his hand. "I'm Dib."
"Hey." The girl said as she motioned him inside. "Pull up a chair. It's not much, but it's a nice little clubhouse."
"In the dumpster?" Dib asked as he walked over to a chair that was next to a desk and a piece of paper.
"I like to come here whenever I want to vent my frustrations." The girl shrugged as Dib smiled as he started to write something down. The girl and the cat looked over the boy's shoulder. "'Bigfoot wanted here.' Heh, that's a good one."
"Thanks..." Dib smiled as he looked around the little hovel.
Much to the boy's amazement, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Everywhere on the wall seemed to be littered with monsters, paranormal and fake alike. Almost like one of those boards trying to link a crime scene to another. Dib whistled at the girl's handiwork. "You really know how to link paranormal activities together."
"Eh, it's a hobby." The girl said as she inserted the note into the bottle and threw it in the air, out of the clubhouse as she looked out.
Dib paused as he looked around and noticed something peculiar about this girl, in the fact that she had three fingers on each hand. He didn't find it too strange, considering some people he's seen had three fingers on each hand. Dib then turned to the cat, who glared at him. "You have a nice cat."
"She was given to me. Almost like a faithful companion. MiMi, down girl." The girl said as the cat eased in, before the girl gave a smile. "I don't think I introduced myself yet, did I?"
Dib shook his head as the girl grinned. "Call me Tak. And I've been around the world not only as the daughter of a famous Weenie incorporation, but I'm a top notch investigator."
Yeah, that's right, folks. Tak is now in the game... a little earlier than her normal appearance, but ideas have been flooding since I started this story, and I figured, why not introduce Tak now? As for why she's here... you'll find out soon enough. What'll happen to this little team of Dib and Tak? Find out next time!
