A/N: I know Jammers typically haven names like Commander Braveclaw or Old Glamgem, in the adventures however Jammers either have real names (like Jack or Isaac) or names like Clover or Fluffy. Because this is an adaption of a scene in the Animal Jam Adventure: The Hive I chose to go with a name like what you would find in the adventures.

Disclaimer: I do not own Animal Jam, Animal Jam Adventures, or related characters.

Delilah wandered down the dark tunnel hoping Cosmo was nearby. The snow leopard wrinkled her nose as the ugly stench of the phantoms, this was definitely the Phantom Hive. Fortunately she had yet to hear or see any of the little monsters. At the moment she wouldn't be able to do anything against them, their lighting power protected them from direct attacks. Odds were there were no chomper plants in the hive and currently she didn't have any boomseeds. If a phantom showed up all she'd be able to do was run and hope for the best. She hated it but it was how things worked.

She stopped short when she caught the scent of a wolf mixed with old books. This was not a normal wolf. The scent of his native land did not cling to his fur. Just as the scent of Mt. Shiver clung to her light blue and grey fur the scent of Coral Canyons should have clung to the wolf's. "Who's there?" She demanded.

The animal moved around her like a shadow, but she caught a glimpse of dull blue fur while golden eyes seemed to gleam in what little light made it into the tunnel. "I am Greely, the Wolf Alpha."

Greely… the least known of the Alphas. Oh, everybody knew his name and knew who he was, but he was almost never around. Meeting Alphas in person was fairly rare, but meeting Greely was unheard of.

"Cosmo didn't say you were going to be here." Delilah didn't relax. Of all the Alphas Greely was the one that no one knew if he could be trusted. She wasn't about to let her guard down, especially since she could barely see him.

"Cosmo doesn't know I'm here." The soft baritone voice replied. "Not that it's any business of yours, but I'm here to study the Phantoms, learn their secrets." He kept circling her, prompting her to turn and follow the golden eyes. "I'm sure by now you've seen the purple structures held together by goo. Those are Phantom pods. The Phantom King has ordered that thousands of pods be stored here. It's almost as if he is preparing something."

Delilah made the mental note to keep an eye out for the Phantom Pods as she continued turning, her eyes staying focused on the unnerving ones in the shadows. "Where's Cosmo?" She asked.

"I despise when Jammers try to play hero and think they can save the day." Greely grumbled, "I saw Cosmo farther ahead but my advice would be to turn back. The Hive is dark and full of dangers, you never know what could be hiding in the shadows."

With that there was the sound of paws on stone and those gleaming golden eyes vanished into the darkness. As she continued on Delilah couldn't help but wonder if the mysterious Wolf Alpha was one of the dangers hiding in the shadows.
