Chapter 7: Tales of Edenia: Act 3

Author's Note Intro:

Hey guys. I guess I don't have much to say this time, so I'll just say the usual: enjoy the chapter!

Kirby: Hey, are you okay?

Hmm? Oh, I'm fine, Kirby. Don't worry about it! I just have a lot going on lately, nothing major, I promise… at least not yet, and I know that. Actually, it sucks because of a little thing called Coronavirus. I guess I won't get that graduation after all. Wait, why are you here anyway?

Kirby: Funny you should ask, since you shrunk us all here!

Yeah, yeah. You'll be fine in a few days or so, it's not so bad, if you know what I mean.

Kirby: Sure; what's next, you'll turn me into a girl or something?

No… (At least not yet).

Kirby: Uh-huh… I'm watching you.

Sure… anyway, enjoy!

Knaiva's POV: The City That Never Was

Level?

"Woah! We're still falling!" I shouted. That's right, the last time you saw us was when we were ambushed by the chancellor and the so-called Godbeast Shiverflake Celsius who hurled us into the tales of the abyss, a city stood there in secret, unaware of the four outsiders that has fallen into its territory for a while; the fall was pretty long because the city was massively deep and massively expansive, just like a tale of an abyss would show.

"To think something like this even existed, a city underneath the surface, just like Atlantis," Pandora gasped. "Maybe a hunch, but could it be that a number of humans sought shelter here from the eternal winter?"

"Maybe, but I wonder why no one else has discovered it," Marxanae wondered. Suddenly, a laser spewed forth before anybody could react, barely missing us. Going to the direction the blast came from, a swarm of enemy drones and robot soldiers were swarming our way as well as battalions and sentries going into attack mode.

"Intruder Alert! Prepare for combat! Edenia Ops Force, begin annihilation!" A voice blared.

Grill sweatdropped. "Perhaps that's why. Anyway, here they come!"

Bashing the Blizzard of Foes- 37th Boss Battle

Knaiva, Marxanae, Grill and Pandora VS Edenia Ops Force, Super Cyborg Army of Edenia (Indomitable Fists That Knows No Equal- Tales of Xillia)

Boss Description: Woah, what is this place? An entire city underneath the planet? And I don't think it's just a city, perhaps there's more land than it meets the eye. But how is this possible? And just what happened those many years ago? I think this place was called… Edenia? Strange… the questions are endless, but most importantly, those cyborgs are definitely here to rid of any intruders! Don't let your guard down!

Info: You can now link party members! This technique will be useful for stronger and more synchronized attacks against enemies that are tough or come in many numbers! Certain attacks will change depending on who you link them with, so try to experiment with them and see which pair of party characters works out better for you!

Edenia Ops Forces attacks! Ready when you are!

A couple of drones flew and circled us to fire. The first to make their move was Pandora, who unveiled a line of spell symbols to at least 10 and fired hails of ice shards at the drones, each one over-impaling the several drones that lay ahead of us and exploded. Some that didn't kill the drones on the front lines devoured the swarm behind them like insects.

Cyborg Soldiers swerved over to attack Marxanae. The girl simply held out a card in front of them and out spewed out dragons of thunder that snacked on them and chewed them aside like bones after a dog's done with them. Grill spun her broom like a baton and swung it like a boomerang to whack the masses surrounding us.

Surely I would've done something, yet I haven't the slightest clue as to morph my body as I did beforehand at will, perhaps not yet. Then, as if my body read my mind like the call to the wild, I sensed my hand automatically gathering energy at my fingertips, firing magenta neon lasers that pierced through hordes of them at once.

"Amazing, Knaiva!" Grill shouted. As if I wanted to show off, my body started to react on its own, such as turning my right arm into a giant scimitar that diced any nearby enemies in one cut. It retracted at once, though; I don't have full control over it yet.

I was almost left open for an attack that was aimed straight at my heart. Too bad for them that I have a hole in my chest, which went through immediately. Seems like these robots aim for the vital organs of their enemies. Better be careful.

Wanting to do the same thing again with the lasers, my hand suddenly reacted to my thoughts and spewed out lasers from my fingertips again underhanded. Curiously, I tried imagining it again and by surprise, it did the same thing again. Oh, so it relies on whether I imagine a weapon or not in my mind. Pretty cool, huh?

Meanwhile, Pandora gestured her hands quickly to strike a form that summons a certain skill attack, which were devastating ice dragons erecting forth and plowing through the hordes of cyborgs, followed by a hail of ice missiles that were shot at every enemy possible.

Grill spewed a spiraling blast of two giant fireballs that scattered the cluster of cyborgs altogether in one area. Marxanae hurled her broom that transformed into a giant scythe, decimating every enemy in range.

The black abyss was crawling from below ever closer and I knew we had to land somewhere. Unfortunately, no groundwork was in our range and the nearest land is way out of reach by freefall, so perhaps we could sail there safely, but only after we take out the remaining enemies surrounding us. After shooting out the sentries and cannons nearby, it had just occurred to me that I can't fly.

By instance, something spurted out of my back- conveniently a pair of wings. I didn't question it; I just rolled with it. Anyway, with that, I called out to the girls, "Ladies! We have to reach the city and not get sucked into the abyss below us right now! Trust me!"

"Woah! When did you grow wings, Knaiva?" Grill gasped in surprise. "Well, never mind that, but I see your point!" She positioned herself on her broom, managing to control and mount it with ease; Marxanae did the same while Pandora also spurted out wings from her back made of ice just like I did. With that, we flew through the skies like battle angels to avoid falling into the abyss, spiraling through the hordes of enemies on the way that gave chase.

"Destroy them!" The robots shouted.

More sentries were deployed and took aim at us. Bullets flew all over the place and we evaded each shot with instinct as we made our way towards the nearest part of land. Taking them out before we get there was a priority.

A huge laser was shot behind and coming at us. Pandora conjured a horizontal ice slope that redirected the beam right back at the sender like water flowing from the river. Of course, that decimated any enemy in the radius shot.

Grill unleashed fireballs at the deployed sentries that eradicated each one in a single fire while Marxanae hacked the ones in front of her. "Heh, piece of cake!" She laughed.

"Don't get so full of yourself, the supply of them are endless," Pandora refuted, pointing over to a rip in the air that erected more hordes of robot soldiers. "Even if we reach the city, they would still pursue us anyway. We have to rid of them here and now if by anything."

Marxanae facepalmed herself. "Crap…"

Grill spoke. "If that's the case, then what exactly should we do at all?"

"Kill the source of these reinforcements, which it seems to be that Knaiva already have found the target." That's right, I spotted a giant silver crystal that beamed tiny streak of line which creates the rips in the air. Simply enough, I shot the crystal with the same lasers from before that I made and surely it was enough to shatter it completely. Bursts of blasts were showered and it ended with a bang- literally.

The boom was so strong that it took out every enemy force in sight. Or maybe it caused the robots to malfunction in the process. Whatever the case, it was surely convenient that the entire force was wiped out in that blast, reducing each one of them to the scrap heap. I exhaled in relief. "Close one, that's for sure!"

"Well, we sure showed them who the bosses are!" Marxanae laughed.

Edenia Ops Forces has been eradicated! Victory!

Party gains 3800 experience points! You are now Level 40!

Health rose to 2000! All stats rose by 180!

Item Retrieval: Gem Apples x10, Gem Candies x10, Spell Card Pack x2

Next Level in 4200 experience points.

Info: Knaiva has acquired the Imaginipulation ability, capable of shapeshifting any part of his body into whatever he desires! However, thanks to his amnesia, he doesn't have that much knowledge on those kind of stuff, so to have him learn new skills and abilities, feed him knowledge using any book you can find, and he'll automatically learn it. Feel free to assign him various artes, which we will call the skills he learns. In this battle mode, you will have to experiment during battles which artes are best for you and that includes all party members as well. Well, if you want to know more, you'll find this information on the Status Menu anyway. So, with that, back to adventure we go!

"Hey, we're near land!" Grill called out. "Let's land right now!" Grill boosted ahead of us with Marxanae on her behind as well as Pandora who grabbed my hand as we soared towards the long platform leading straight into the city. Grill flew in too fast and upon touching the ground, she tripped and rolled in for landing on her back.

And to add to that injury, Marxanae ended up landing on Grill, chest first. The same can be said for Pandora who only landed safely but stumbled slightly and on her bum. That's when I realized by the time she had let go of my hand, I didn't know how to actually revert the wings on my back. Lucky for me, they did revert back only when I was a few feet near the ground and so I spent the rest of the trip in a flying freefall.

"Ah, Knaiva! I got ya!" Pandora calls out, catching me before the impact knocked her off her feet again. The next thing I knew, her arms kept me locked between her huge lumps again when she caught me. "Are you okay, Knaiva?"

"Y-yeah, I… guess…" I unsurely replied. Marxanae and Grill arrived to us after they got themselves fixed up from the landing.

Marxanae giggles. "Ara-Ara, Pandora. You sly little witch, trying to seduce him with that moment, aren't ya? Well, no worries! He's so adorable that any woman would want him on their bosom, if they had one as big as ours!"

"I get the strange feeling that your last sentence was directed towards me," Grill fumed. Pandora helps me up and gently pulls me away from her chest while she dusts me off.

My face turns beet red. "Um… thanks."

"No problem; I should be thanking you- we all owe you one," Pandora smiles. In fact, as if the other two read Pandora's mind, they all leaned forward towards me, blushing red with eagerness and set on their decision. And before I even realized what was happening, their lips were pressed against my face one by one. A warm shiver slid down my spine while the hole in my chest grew ever rapidly and flustered. This strange feeling, where have I felt it before?

I wasn't able to speak, but I barely managed to project the right words. "Um… what was that anyway…? It feel familiar to me somehow…"

"A kiss, Knaiva. You'll understand that when you're older," They all giggled in unison. You know, these women are so confusing, I don't think I'll ever understand them even when I'm an amnesiac.

"Right… well, enough of that. We're here at this city where we just so happen to wind up, might as well head inside," I said.

"A city? Underneath a factory? Perhaps… was this made as a last resort in regards to the Everlasting Hail? Maybe some humans survived that way while the others went off somewhere to safety, but who knows where?" Pandora speculated.

"Glad I'm not the only the one who find this out of the ordinary," Grill sighed.

"The heck you're talking about? Anyone would find this out of the ordinary the moment they set their eyes on this city- underneath a massive factory of production," Marxanae refuted, giving Grill the 'Gee, thanks, Captain Obvious!' look.

"…sorry," Grill whimpers and shrunk back.

"I don't know about you all, but I'm thinking about heading inside, if that's alright with you," I declared, already leaving them behind to make my way towards the city.

The girls gasped and scrambled to catch up with me. "Wait for us, Knaiva! Geez!"

Edenia, City of Secrets (Imil- Golden Sun)

The first step into the city was a… strange sight to behold. I was expecting this city to be remote, but instead they're filled with an abnormal amount of inhabitants flooding the streets. They wore strange clothing as if they were poor- men, women and children alike for some reason, as if they were all created or something. Still, the citizens of the city went about their lives normally.

"Edenia…" Pandora muttered. "So that's the city's name…"

Strangely, the atmosphere gave me an unusual feeling of chills. "… I'm having second thoughts on this, you guys."

"What's wrong, Knaiva?" Marxanae asked.

Pandora responded probably because she realized what I meant when I said that. "Haven't you noticed?" She said in a whisper. "Take a look at their wrists."

"!" Gasped Grill silently. The very thing she was alluding at was what a pair of shackles was on their wrists- only an idiot would call that perfectly normal. At that first sight, at first glance it doesn't look like there's chains binding each cuff together like they're supposed to bind the prisoners. "Hmm? Where's the chains on their handcuffs?"

"They're invisible," answered Pandora. "I suspect those are made out of Voidthrilis, a special material that was made for the sole purpose of binding prisoners and it's indestructible. Dark Soul once mentioned this before, but I guess I didn't take him seriously. Anyway, the chains are invisible because they're ridiculously long for some reason, although I'm not sure why it ended up the way it did. Nonetheless, the handcuffs are hard to break out of if it was user specific."

"Huh, so does that mean that guy from before or at least the castle's inhabitants were somewhat responsible for this?" Grill speculated as we continued through the city, sweating as she sensed the confused glares from the onlookers.

"A mystery we'll never find out for the moment as it is now," Marxanae doubted. "Let's just keep on going- hang on, what the heck is that?" She trotted ahead a little bit quicker than the rest of us. As we went to catch up with her through the maze of Edenia, we finally found her locked at the end of the staircase. And when we stopped to find out why she stopped right there, we ended up seeing the reason why.

Ahead of us was a giant stopwatch with a cat-like face that looks worn out and scrapped laid buried there through the wall of rocks that keeps it imprisoned for who knows how long? Both eyes were closed and the only thing that was open was its mouth, leading the way inside.

"A… clockwork star? What's this one doing here? I mean, I've heard tales of this race made by the Ancients before, but still… how did this one get all the way here in the first place?" Marxanae gasped.

"My, this is definitely a peculiar mystery," Grill added. "If I had to guess, maybe this clockwork star had something to do with what happened years ago or something… but we're not gonna find out standing here."

"Yeah, I agree. And besides, we should also try to find a way out," I suggested. "It's not too far-fetched to suggest that Teyren and that Godbeast Shiverflake Celsius will come after us sooner or later. Maybe we'll find an exit inside that mechanical cat thing."

"If only Kirby was here to see this," Grill thought. "He's dealt with two of them before, so maybe he knows more about it. Speaking of which, I just wish I knew what he's doing now…"

Shivera Starshine- Snowlight Port

(Shiver Star- Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards)

Kazela's POV: Abominable Resort

Morning as it was, after some well-earned breakfast, by that time we had already arrived at the next location- Snowlight Resort. Usually there'd be lots of people going off the ship, but considering what happened in the last chapter, everyone's dead sick with some kind of flu thanks to the stupid Zenoxia Guard Force Captain.

Only the ones who didn't venture outside and got caught in the trouble yesterday were safe. With the four others being criminals and the majority of the party turned into chibis while the 7 princesses being put on guard duty, the only ones who can cure the cruise's passengers are us 4 kids- Fololo, Falala, Jodie and me, Kazela.

The snow outside was strangely warm, but big sis insisted that we wear at least something warm in case the guard force was setting up a snare. Soon, with earmuffs, a winter coat and boots, we were unnecessarily fitted for a little pickup. Maybe Adeline could've come with us as well, but I haven't seen her. Oh well, I suppose we'll just have to leave her be for now.

"Okay churin," Kirby announced in a chibi voice on the table with everyone else that shrunk. "You heard the mayor. You'll be able to find the cure at the resort nearby. This really shouldn't take too long at all, so unless something happens, at least let us know beforehand. Promise?" Kirby held out his stubby little hand out to me.

"I promise, big brother!" I giggled, wrapping my pinky around his hand.

"I wish we could accompany you kids, but after yesterday," Merina said. "It's too much of a risk to even leave the cruise unguarded out of the occurrence yesterday. It's a good thing you kids can defend yourself, but make it out in one piece, will ya?"

"That doesn't sound reassuring from the way you say that," Callie countered. "Regardless, that's the way things are, so we might as well deal with it for now."

"What about Adeline?" Fololo asked. "She's never shown herself since last night and even this morning. Is something wrong with her? Seriously, I know I'm not the only one who's suspecting that she's hiding something, you all know it."

"Lo, we all know that. Let's just give her some time to work things out on her own. Surely she'll make herself up by the time you get back," Vanja spoke. "Now we can't keep you here any longer. Besides, the fate of those who are sick rests in your hands at the moment. Now off you kids go. And just in case, here's the orb shards."

"You better come out alive! I'd rather not deal with any character deaths, especially if they're a bunch of kids! Those are the most tragic of them all!" Aege shouted. We sweatdropped as we left the cafeteria then.

"Aege!" Kaila growled.

"What? They'll be fine! After all, she's got your blood in her too like she was your daughter, call it a time mage's intuition."

Espera seemed concerned. "Something wrong, Espera?" Aqua asked.

"Oh, I had remembered a sibling of mine lived in this area, guess I haven't spoken much about my life, haven't I? Regardless of what I've only said, I have an older brother named Evonza and three little brothers and sisters. Always wondered why our names started with the letter E, to be honest. Anyway, one of them is named Esderane but I call her chibi Esdeath because of name similarities and she wanted to be a doctor that can prescribe the medication she makes, I guess. I hope she's doing well, perhaps they're bound to run into her," Espera explained.

"Wow, that's deep," Bandana Dee said.

"Sure is," Espera casually pulls out a case full of Nintendo DS Handhelds, one designated for each person in which she made herself somehow. I don't know how. "Mario Kart DS, anyone?"

Area Two Destination- Snowlight Resort, Everest Edge

(Another Winter- Scott Pilgrim VS the World: The Game)

Out of the cruise, our party of four kids moved towards the next area, a blanket of snow laid before us as it covered the grass or at least where it used to be but the road. A path laid there before our boots that may as well be our guide to where the resort is.

"Hey, I see some kind of building over in the distance," Jodie pointed. "That has to be the snow resort!"

"Well, let's scope the place then already!" I took the lead as I strolled ahead of the others. It was a while since we've departed, that gave us time to admire the beautiful landscape that was around us and covered with a blanket of snow. A winter wonderland of that sort. Walking around the area for some time, eventually, we were near a well-crowded place when we trekked up the hills.

"That must be the place," Falala pointed. "It's so lively here…"

"Maybe that's because there's a fuss spreading near the entrance," Jodie commented, directing his aim towards the entrance where there were loads of people crowded around.

"I wonder what's going on…." Fololo wondered. "Could it be that the Zenoxia Guard had already beaten us here and got the people riled up?"

"Come on, let's go check it out," I ordered. Following the path leading directly to the entrance, we had arrived a bit sooner than expected when we got there. The news crew was also present at the scene of whatever bad thing was happening. "Seriously, what's going on here?"

"I don't know, that's why we're gonna find out," Jodie said. "I see an opening to the front. Maybe we can slip through there."

"I'm with you on this one, news aren't any kid's thing anyway," Fololo followed Jodie through the pathway that only small kids can squeeze through. Shrugging, we followed the two boys inside the snow resort with ease and went unnoticed by the crowd.

Once inside, only a few people were present. Some appear to be frantic while a few select were calm and composed, remaining steady of whatever crisis they were experiencing. Regardless, the main central of the building was magnificent. I wouldn't be much of a rater on places like these because it's not something I'd do on a regular basis, y'know.

"What now?" Falala questioned. "We're inside, so what should we do exactly? The old mayor didn't really give us any more details on what to do. I mean, those herbs aren't just gonna be on sale on the spot, right?"

"Let's just ask the person on the front desk, that'll be easier," Fololo suggested, already having doing what he had spoken by the time. I do have to mention though that he had to float up to the top since the counter was a bit too "tall" for him or for any of us by a couple of inches or whatever. That was a shock to the receptionist, I'll admit that much. However, the receptionist just came off a call and appeared very worried.

"Excuse me, ma'am- oh, sorry! We'll wait," Fololo spoke.

The receptionist didn't seem to mind. Her name tag was present- it reads as Presera. "No, it's fine. So, can I help you with anything?"

"Yes, and we're rather in a hurry and I know what I'm about to ask of you is really insane, but please hear us out. You wouldn't happen to have any of those concoctions known as the Shiva Tea and enough to fill an entire cruise ship full of sick passengers infected by the Shiver Poison, would you?"

"I... are you serious right now?" Presera was flabbergasted, not knowing what words to reply with. She forced herself to say something. "Erm… so let me get this straight, a long story short- you're traveling onboard the Shivera Starshine Cruise Ship with people who've been struck with Shiver Poison and you're the only ones immune to this?"

"…yeah Blame the Zenoxia knights for this."

"You can't be… why would the knights do something like this?"

"Tons of reasons, but that's not important right now. We need those cures stat! That's assuming you have any, of course," I interjected the intro to the flashback.

"Oh, I'm really sorry, but we just gave our last pack a while ago," Presera sighed.

"Well, shoot," Jodie shook his head. "Should've seen that one coming."

"Now what? I don't suppose you could take us to your leader, or rather the maker of this concoction, huh?" I shrugged.

"Err… now that you've asked, we are acquainted with the concoctor of the cure," Presera replied. "I could ask her about it-"

"Really? Yeah!" We cheered.

"-if only she hadn't gone missing."

"Huh?" That certainly was a downer. "Aw…"

"I'm sorry; in fact, the reason for the fuss outside is because Esderane, the maker of the antidotes, went up to the Icicle Caves up north the Everest Peak once she ran out of ingredients, but she hasn't returned ever since. She was Snowlight's best doctor aside from her other siblings, especially since she talks about Espera the most."

"She knows Espera?! She's on the Shivera Starshine right now! And now she's gone missing?!" Falala gasped. "Something must've happened to her! And we need her help to cure everyone on the cruise too!"

"Then the answer's obvious- we're gonna go look for her and bring her back!" I responded. "And don't worry about us, we can handle ourselves out there. We'll be doing everybody a favor if we bring her back safely, right?"

"You'd do that for us? I… I don't know what to say…" Presera hesitated.

"It's fine, just let us take care of this, okay?" Jodie insisted. "We're tougher than we look, so no sweat!"

"If you really plan on doing so, then like I said before, you should travel up north from here and head to Everest Peak. The ingredients for the cure originates from inside the Icicle Caves, so she's surely bound to be there. But I do find it a bit strange how she's always manage to sneak past the ice demon that sleeps in there everytime, because when she did went her way, a while later was accompanied by a bloodcurdling scream. Maybe today was the day it was supposed to wake up?"

"Hmm, the way I see it, if she does that every day or so and the one time she does the ice demon just so happens to "wake up", I can only think that someone forcefully woke it up from its slumber somehow and Esderane just happened to be caught in it. Given the crime that took place, it wouldn't be a surprise if the knights were behind this, but we don't know for sure," Fololo suggested.

"Then we can't just stand around here like fools if what you say becomes the truth!" Falala demanded. "Let's go check it out! Miss Presera, we'll be back soon, we promise!"

"Ah, wait. By the off chance that an avalanche erupts, you should take these just in case," Presera said.

You got Snowboard Star Air Ride Machines! Perfect for surfing through the snowy terrain in case of an avalanche and up and down hard surfaces!

"Oh, thanks a lot, miss!" I thanked her. "Now if you'll excuse us, we have a doctor to save. We'll be back soon!" And so, Snowboard Stars in hand, the band of four little kids, friends to a group of heroes, set off to return the favor to them as soon as we squeeze through the paparazzi crowd.

"Such good little kids. Where are people like them when you need them these days?"

Level Two- Everest Peak (Feint: Laurence- Liquicity)

The snow sprinkled onto the ground and you couldn't even tell which spot it landed on just like a heavy rainstorm. Following the path up north, just as Presera said, lies Everest Peak beyond us. Snowflakes floated to cover up the snow below us as we stood there gazing up to the monstrous climb that intimidates those seeking to climb it.

"All right, the Icicle Caves should be nearby, but the climb seems to be more than we could chew…" Jodie said.

"Well, you can go ahead and speculate, I'm gonna ride this thing up all the way to the caves in the meantime," Fololo bragged.

"Folo, don't go off on your own! At least wait for us!" I shouted.

Anyway, our trek up the peak wasn't very pleasant as I imagined before. It was a good thing the snow was unusually warm this time because anybody would've certainly frozen before they even crossed the line border between the two places. If we went with normal clothes, the hike would've been harder, since you're dealing with multiple layers of snow, like walking through a swamp.

So to avoid that unnecessary option, I suggest to use those Snowboard Stars to ski your way up the mountains. And that's what we did after the idea only sunk into our heads after a couple of ground covered later. So when the idea finally sunk, that was our first go-to resort.

Honestly, they were just snowboards. That can levitate above snow. Seriously, it's unoriginal. Regardless, that's what we need to ascend the slopes before us. The three of us tailed Fololo up the slopes while avoiding rolling snowballs and blocked paths dropped by piles of snow, and of course, inevitable enemies. Whenever there was a walkable path, we took it by foot just in case. In fact, we were already halfway there and you could get a glimpse on what the land looks like from here as if you were on top of a tower or something.

It did take us some time, but we all stumbled across an opening in the gap of the mountains, which was near the base of the peak. Tons of sharp ice stuck out from beneath the ground near the entrance. A strange chill poked around my neck. "I smell something… and it's coming from in there."

"We better be careful then," Jodie reminded us. "Finding that lady is also our top priority."

No words to follow that, we all ventured through the caves filled with nothing but slippery ice.

Act Two: Icicle Caves (Icy Caves- Super Cat Bros)

The clear blue was shown with a mix of violet and indigo like crafted and solid glass. It was like a funhouse, as some said. Of course, never had the time or the thought to be in one either. Still, I felt like we were walking through a maze of mirrors the way the ice reflects us at every angle.

Solid ground wasn't present and slipping was inevitable for the time being. It was hard to get up, so we gave in and let the slide carry us the way like a conveyor belt. Icicles hung from over the ceiling as they glistened to the tip of the ice while we slide by. It felt like a ride we were on, sliding through the tubes made of ice and all.

"How long are we gonna be like this?" sighed Fololo. "We've been sliding like this for who knows how long." By then after the descent of the slide reached the horizontal plane while keeping the tempo of the speed at normal without stopping, it was inside a long tunnel tube that was clear like plastic bottles and I spotted the end of the slide itself.

"Over there on your right... and look! I see someone there!" I pointed. "That might be her! Let's get to it!"

"Right!" The others agreed. Soon, our slide ride came to an end as well, putting us all to a smooth halt like a waterslide's end full of water. After getting off, I peered above the average height of a wall without being detected to scout around.

"Well? Do you see her?" Jodie whispered, already cautious about the area itself.

"Shoot, there's too many ice pillars blocking my view to even tell," I answered. Glancing over to the side, I noticed the wall had a path curving around the area. "Come on, this way." I whispered, grasping the wall firmly but gently and sliding across the floor like that, and the others followed suit. It was a spiraling descent that was short, but we did reach the end and dashed behind an icicle pillar for cover.

"Alright, let's see if we can get a better view this time around," Falala whispered.

"There's someone there, just as I thought," I whispered back.

"S-someone… h-help…" A voice in shivers hoarsely cried. The life-risking tone forced us to peer from behind to catch a glimpse of that voice. Once we did, our sight caught a good look of who the voice belonged to. As we thought, it belonged to a woman, hopefully the same one we came here to find. No one else would even dare step foot into these caves, right?

That woman had snow white hair and cyan blue eyes. Just like Espera, she also had a white-like doctor's coat, white heels that were contrary to Espera's cyan heels, but she does appear to be a bit shorter than Espera- I guess they're related somehow?

But speaking of appearance, she was frosted in ice and freezing even though the snow and ice was warm this time around! In fact, the area was freezing every moment we went in further and the cold was strongest where we were. Esderane was frozen in place.

"A-anyone… brr… h-help…" She cried out. The petrification of ice was shelling her every second.

"Guys, that's definitely Esderane," Jodie whispered. "And she's slowly turning into ice! We have to help her!"

"Wait, Jodie!" Fololo silently shouted, but his words didn't reach him. Luckily, as a master assassin, he stealthily jumped from one hiding spot to another until he was near Esderane. He got behind a boulder of ice that was conveniently near her.

"Hold on, we'll get you out," Jodie exhaled. He was about to do so when a horrifying shriek curdles our ears. Suddenly, an unidentified object came to whack Jodie across and back the area of the caves.

"Gah!" He shouted, managing to land on his feet in time. "Man! That smarts!"

"Jodie, are you okay?!"

"I'm fine; I managed to snatch her out of this before I got smacked," Jodie was carrying a nearly frozen Esderane in his arms.

"…eugh… ahh…" She gasped slowly, all while being petrified in the process.

"Oh no, she'll freeze to death at this rate! Good thing I picked this up at the resort before leaving," I pulled out a thermos full of hot chocolate from my inventory and mindlessly splashed it all on her. "Don't drink it all in one place!"

"Kazela!" The others shouted. Luckily, the chocolate was starting to take full effect, only for a little while it'll take for her to recover.

"Don't worry, it'll take some time for her to recover and it should keep her warm and protected for now," I said. "With that, we don't have to worry about her when we go against the cause of her turning into ice."

"Say…" Falala spoke. "Could it be the slumbering beast that supposedly live in these caves?"

That was already answered when the monstrosity made its appearance before us. The figure was initially small although fairly large- a blue-greenish monster with four blue spikes on its back with a white belly and four teeth shown when it opened its mouth. It exhaled not fire, but ice from its breath and let out a deafening roar. Its eyes were mindless, that's all I can say.

Fololo and Falala certainly recognize the monster. "No way! That's Ice Dragon, a Demon Beast! What's it doing all the way here when Kirby defeated it?!"

"Maybe there's more than one of them or something, but never mind that, we'll freeze to death as well if we don't beat it here and now!" I shouted. "We have to beat it and make it out alive in one piece, just like we promised Kirby!"

"You know it!" Jodie pulled out his assassin's blade. Fololo and Falala readied themselves while blue and pink cubes circles around them. With Kari on my shoulder, I took the lead in this fight.

The Ice Dragon bellowed a hollowing roar once more before charging at us.

"RRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

Ice of Eternity- 38th Boss Battle

Kazela, Fololo, Falala and Jodie VS Ice Dragon, Ancient Demon Beast Dragon (Eternity AKA Jesus Christ, the guy from Deep Purple Sang This- Blue Dragon)

Boss Description- This was considered an Ancient lifeform of a species claimed to not exist anymore in certain places, well, at least on Popstar that's the case. However, one or perhaps a few bear witness and can certainly testify the existence of this dragon of ice when it lived in the caves quietly, more than once actually. Perhaps there's more than one of its kind… but here, maybe someone provoked it from its slumber before Esderane had arrived. Regardless, beware of its Celsius Degree ice breath. Being struck will cause one to take damage from hypothermia and turn into ice gradually unless treated.

Ice Dragon arises from its slumber! Keep warm or shiver!

"Alright, let's get it!" Jodie shouted. Ice Dragon shook its head before charging at us head-on like an idiot. So we dodged like any idiot would do. However, it was aiming straight for Jodie as it shot ice needles from its mouth.

"Tch!" Jodie jumped from one end to another, trying to dodge the needles homing on him. He parried some of the spikes aside with his neon dagger swiftly. Vanishing from place to place he continued, Ice Dragon leapt into the air and let out a violent ice breath. Jodie dodged… barely.

"What are you guys doing? Help me out here!" He shouted, fleeing from the ice storm, causing the room to intensify in coldness as well. I kicked two crescent waves at the Ice Dragon while the other two fired flaming cubes at its back. This drew its attention away from Jodie for a chance.

"It's coming!" I shouted. Ice Dragon, with its attention diverted away from Jodie and airborne, plopped to cause a ground pound on the cave. It did paralyzed us for a brief moment, but the real attack followed afterwards.

Shadows popped from beneath as small circles growing larger by the second. "Icicles! Dodge!" Icicles were striking from the ceiling rapidly like a hailstorm. We danced all around the area trying to avoid being impaled. Ice Dragon slashed one pillar and hurled it at the center just like that. The spike caused a mound of ice to erupt as a shockwave that blew us away from there.

"Take this! Sonic Blade!" Jodie howled, slashing his dagger into the air, unleashing some sort of blue shockwave missile and a few more after the first one struck its back. Ice Dragon howled and rolled into a ball, spindashing around the caves like crazy. Ice spikes sprouted behind the trail it made. I backdashed from the spikes and casted fireballs.

Ice Dragon managed to dodge them despite its size or maybe it tanked them. Falala hurled a ball of flaming needles as a counter to this while it was open in midair. It deflected it aside, unaware that Fololo was creeping up behind on it in midair while Jodie redirected his jump from an ice pillar to cover Fololo.

However, the Ice Dragon somehow anticipated this and snagged Fololo by the leg with its growing tail before flinging him horizontally and fast, as if it knew throwing Fololo would intercept Jodie in the process. And it worked. They both crashed into each other, but the momentum still kept them in motion.

They both purged through pillars like a cannonball until they crashed into the wall. "Agh!" Both Fololo and Jodie aimlessly spiraled on the ground, stunned as they aren't responsive then right next to Esderane.

"Jodie! Fololo! Come on, Kazela!" Falala shouted. I nodded. Ice Dragon made snowflake cutters and hurled them at us, but jumping into the air we both ran on the projectiles like stepping stones and leapt to land a coordinated attack on Ice Dragon that landed successfully and blowing it backwards. Ice Dragon bounced back from the wall it was about to hit and fired more ice needles.

"Bloody Bullet!" My hand was engulfed in red and it shot a blast seemingly made out of my own blood. It pummels through the needles without effort and busted into contact with Ice Dragon, who was engulfed in red flames of acid blood.

The force threw the behemoth to the ground with sheer power, crashing helplessly. Battered and torn down yet still not giving in, it shriek loudly once more, shaking off the damage we had dealt it with. However, it was interrupted by a shockwave that knocked it down. For good. Followed by a hurled cubix. Those two attacks were enough to put it out of commission and have it fall to the ground defeated.

"Big mistake, pal!" It was both Jodie and Fololo, gasping for breath after recovering.

The Ice Dragon's malevolence simmered down, quenching the bloodlust on a short notice. "Jodie! Fololo! Are you alright?" We ran to them.

"Don't worry about us. We're fine. It's Esderane you should be worried about the most," They coughed. Looking at the unconscious doctor, she's okay after spilling the chocolate on her. However, she's not going to wake up at this time.

"She's okay for now. I guess she's more resistant than I thought," I wondered. "I don't think any normal person would've lived through that on the fly. But either she's crazy or just doing what she has to do to help everyone."

"Kazela…" Falala said.

"Sorry," I sweatdropped.

Fololo sighed. "The important thing is that she's alive and breathing for the count, thank god. Well, we should take her back to the resort now. Any delays longer than this will- huh?!"

The entire cave started to rumble and quake violently like an earthquake upon us. We lost our balance as well since the quake was more fearsome and violent. Icicles started to cast rain everywhere. "W-what's going on?!" I shouted.

"Oh no, I think that last attack must've cause a crack in the caves after striking Ice Dragon!" Jodie said. "The caves are gonna collapse! We've gotta get out of here before we're buried under the ice!"

"How?! Look!" Fololo pointed to the entrance we came from which unfortunately was caved in by boulders of ice. "The exit's blocked and I don't see any other way out of here!"

At that, as if a God answered our cries for help, a crack in the wall behind us split open at the seams, unveiling an emergency exit, I suppose. "Huh. How convenient." Falala shrugged. "Problem solved."

The quake grew even worse to the point where ice plasters were crumbling and crashing down. "Guys? Should we-?" Fololo shouted.

"Biggity bounce? Biggity yes," Jodie answered, princess-carrying Esderane and taking the first leap down. The rest of us followed without a moment's hesitation, and it was a good thing because if we hadn't, the exit would've been blockaded by then.

Act Three: Avalanche Time (Stepping Wind- Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil)

Through the exit of ice and slides, sliding out of control down the exit we go. I found it to be pretty fun regardless of the lurking doom that was a couple of feet behind us. There really wasn't no way to go, so we let the slide take us somewhere, hopefully out of the ice caves.

"How long is this gonna go?! It won't be long before we're caved in on the way down!" Falala shouted.

"Up ahead! I see light!" I shouted back, popping out the Snowboard Star and telling everyone to hop on whereas the star itself automatically adjusted itself to maximum size. "Everyone, hang on!" I shouted as we came head on within the light.

The next thing I knew, we had been slingshot outside the snowy mountaintops of Everest in a flash. I had never expected that we'd be the first to skate down the tallest mountain on the planet, and it was a huge deep drop as well, like a crazy rollercoaster attempting the deepest plunge in history.

The others screamed louder than the avalanche that was born by the cave's eruption somehow. I, on the other hand, was enjoying the thrill. "YEAH! WHOO!"

"How are you enjoying this?!" Jodie hollered "It's a freaking 500 foot drop or something, I don't know! A drop that high will kill us without mercy!"

"That's what makes it fun!" I laughed. "I've never felt this alive since the day I slaughtered those Shadow Beasts and a hellbent genocidal mechanoid maniac a few days ago!"

"I think she's lost it!" Fololo screamed as I swerve the star in mad directions until we cruised to the slope without a bumpy landing. "She's even laughing maniacally too!"

"Forget that! Are we even gonna live through this at all?!" Fala slapped Folo. "The avalanche's catching up to us!" Yeah, the slushie spill was gradually gaining on us closer and closer, perhaps it was the longest avalanche to be born, unless someone disagrees otherwise.

"We'll be fine, now I suggest for all of you kids to probably hold each other tight and prepare for the greatest climax there is yet on this event!" I cackled.

"W-why's that?!" Jodie hesitated to ask me, holding Esderane tighter than before.

"Up ahead!" I pointed. To their shock, it was a curving ramp that laid before us. And of course the sight of that alone gave way to a chorus of orchestrated screaming and shrieking by the three kids' choir. You know, I realized I hate opera. Still, once we touched the edge of the ramp and lifted off, we were in for a good time- for me, that is.

Everyone else- a bad time for them. So, it may not seem much, but to spare you the trouble, let's just say the end result was a success. A crash landing success, if you know what I mean. Actually, I mean in a pile of snow success.

… Long story short, the landed was nailed and the avalanche ceased but kept going enough to carry us to the town's entrance and coincidentally at the resort's front, which attracted the media's attention as well as the crowd's. You should've seen the looks on their faces when they saw us!

I stuck my hand out from the mound of snow. "That… was… AWESOME! WHO'S UP FOR ROUND TWO?! ANYONE?!"

"NO!" The others screamed while still buried alive. Digging ourselves out of the snow, the media swarmed all around us like an angry mob that was a surprised mob… I guess. The last one to get themselves out was Jodie, who princess-carried the unconscious doctor despite him being 11 years old.

The moment they saw Esderane safe and sound, everyone went off the walls. Because of the commotion, it made Presera come out from the resort hub and to the scene of the crime that was resolved. "Oh my, Esderane! You kids got her back safely!" She rushed over to us, making sure that we weren't hurt or anything before she hugs us all against her boobs- it felt so nice. I suppose it's important that you discover all the various cup sizes of boobs before you, as a female, inevitably grows a pair on your own. Who knows? Maybe after 10 years I'll be busty than my sister when I'm 18 years old!

"Don't worry, she'll be fine. In fact, this may sound a bit selfish of us, but can we take her to see her sister on the cruise?" I asked.

"Sure thing, you guys! This may take a while with the fuzz and all," She responded. "But still, thank you kids so much!"

"No problem," We replied in unison.

Level Two Complete!

Shivera Starshine- Into Nighttime

"-and that's how we got out of the caves alive and in one piece with Esderane," I declared. "The end."

"See? Toldja they'd be okay, princess," Aege boasted. "She has your personality and ability after all, accompanied by experienced demon beasts and an 11-year-old assassin!"

"Wait, you mean Kaila thought we weren't gonna make it?" Folo asked.

"I… kinda had my doubts at first," Kaila responded sheepishly. "I was wrong. Sorry."

"It's fine. The important thing is that we came back safe and sound," I smiled. "And just in time for family game time!"

"Well, Espera? I think you should've told us that Esderane was your sister in the first place," Jodie questioned.

"Ah, yes. I'm sorry about that. I only realized that until after you've left. Still, I'm glad she's okay and alive too."

"No problem," Folo replied. "With that, everything's going well. Esderane just happened to collect enough for an entire cruise, so we don't have to worry about that anymore. For you guys, it may take a while."

"Don't remind us," Saito sighed.

"And don't forget, our next stop is Frozen Hillside tomorrow," Vanja said, cuddling Magolor against her boobs. "And Maggie, we're gonna have some fun, if you know what I mean."

"Please stop that," Maggie groaned.

"By the way," Fala asked, darting her eyes around. "Where's Adeline? I haven't seen her ever since we set foot inside the cruise."

"Oh, she went to help my sister cure the other passengers," Espera responded. "They should finish soon. I did find it strange that Esderane does seem to speak to Adeline as if she knew her somehow. At least, that was the tone I did recognize from their words alone."

"You know, I'm pretty much fed up with Adeline. Not in a bad way, but it certainly has become irritating, like she knows something we don't," Karly motionlessly shrugs.

"Well, why don't you go ask her yourself if that's been bothering you?" Niva suggested. "I, on the other hand, even though I'm a clockwork star, believe that whatever's going on with Adeline is personal and that we should let her resolve it herself until she feels ready to talk it out."

"Huh, what a coincidence, because I just stumbled across a section of the book given to us by the mayor and it mentions something about a clockwork star," Angelah points to a chapter of Frozen Tears. "Maybe Adeline knows something about it. This chapter is called Tales of Edenia."

"Edenia? Isn't the prefix Eden?" Aqua deciphered. "Like the Garden of Eden, I remember reading about it before while I snuck onto land."

"I see. But perhaps Edenia has a completely different in the way it's used here in this story. Here, it says right there that Edenia was more than just a paradise- it was a safe place for all. A garden made to protect the humans from disaster by a falling heaven-sent star, buried underneath the planet and sealed into the realm known as the Secret of the Abyss."

"The… Abyss? How come I've never heard of that?" Espera complained.

"Because of the Everlasting Hail, no one would ever think about that in a situation that took place then," Yae said. "Besides that, it also says that the fallen clockwork star had the ability to revitalize a person's pass just by one look at a person."

"So, how about it, Niva? Do you know anyone by that ability?" Kirby asked.

"Hmm… sounds a lot like Naiva to me," Niva replied. "In fact, I haven't heard from him in aeons or so. Then again, tons of my siblings, cousins, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and so on have technically disappeared occasionally, especially the last two that was wasted by that jester over there and that secretary's amnesiac father."

"Uhh…" Marx started to sweat. So did Susie.

"Gee, Marx and Susie. You're getting all sweaty again," I commented.

"By the way," Dedede spoke up. "You mean that there sister or brother or whatever relative of yours is buried underneath a frozen planet, and you have not even the slightest amount of concern for them? What if that was you, Niva? Pushing that aside, where is this Secret of the Abyss anyway? I thought it'd be called Tales of the Abyss, cuz, y'know, it's a place located in the freaking abyss! Any idiot could just dig straight down and call it a day, right?!"

"Chill, Triple D," Niva licked herself freely.

"Only close friends and NME Customer Services are worthy of calling me that, ya bum! And answer my question, you casual!"

"To answer that question, the Abyss wasn't supposed to exist for the time the planet's been created. And it specifically states that Edenia is a city in the realm the humans here calls the Secret of the Abyss."

"Why not Tales of the Abyss? That sounds way better if you ask me," Callie shrugged.

"Unless you wanna get sued," Espera sighed. "Name's already been taken."

"I don't know, all of this is hurting my head," I complained. "But should we really prioritize that abyss more than finding the chambers?"

"Maybe so, because possible case scenario- what if the spirit chamber is located in the Abyss?" Kaila suggested. "Even so, we have no way of getting there at all. I doubt anyone's been able to find it."

"Perhaps the secret of finding a place like Edenia and the Abyss is by accident and in a place no one would ever think the Abyss was located to boot," Zeta proposed. "One record from a few months ago proposed that the Abyss will only take those who are destined to discover the secrets behind it themselves. It wouldn't be too farfetched to say that perhaps a small group have already found their way to Edenia by accident as we speak."

I groaned. "And I propose that we hightail it to bed, everyone. All this talk is getting us nowhere. To make a long story short, the Abyss has something to do with our current situation. But hey, that's just a theory- a lore theory or whatever."

"Kazela's right. Maybe we should save this for tomorrow," Bandana Dee yawned. "After all, Esderane did say the Zenoxia Guard was planning to ambush us there, so we better be ready."

"Right," Everyone agreed. With that, the meeting was adjourned. Most of the party has taken off into their rooms while Espera and a few others spoke to Esderane. I noticed Taranza being down in the dumps.

"Taranza? Spiderman? Are you okay?" I sweetly asked him.

"Don't call me that, but I'm fine," He sighed, looking out the window that was showing nothing but darkness.

"You're thinking about the Queen, huh? I can understand that. I've heard you lost someone special before then, but I guess I shouldn't ask of that, but I suppose it's because the Queen remind you a lot of her, I suppose?" I said. "Trust me, I know how that feels, although it may be different."

"You're more perceptive than you look, princess," Taranza chuckles lightly. "Yeah, at this point, I'm wondering what she's thinking of me right now. I must be so pitiful."

"Cheer up, I think she wants to work things out with you and the others, even thought things turn out this way. Maybe something will work out when you come to meet her face-to-face, I'm sure of it."

"Heh, you really know how cheer up someone, you know that?" Taranza smiles a bit. "Thank you."

"Don't sweat it. I just don't like to see people suffer, that's all," I said. "I'm sure the Queen is thinking the same way too."

Meanwhile…

"Ngh… damn it, not again," I groaned, clutching my head. Every once in a while, my memory distorts without warning, and so I experience the revitalization of unfamiliar memories constantly. After a while, the pain subdues, leaving me exhausted. I got ahold of myself and kept my composure although I had

"God, what's with these unfamiliar memories? That hyperresonance… why me?" I seethed and sighed.

"Your highness, excuse me- a-are you alright?!" Teyren called out after entering the room and rushing to my aid. "Another hyperresonance again?!"

"Don't worry, I'll be okay," I coughed, pulling myself up and on the throne as if nothing happened. "Never mind me, I believe you had something you wish to tell me about, judging by how you reacted? And no need for formalities either."

"Ah, yes," Teyren spoke. "Remember about the factory and the Re: Genesis Project? Normally, things were going well, but that is until we've discovered some mice lurking around private property."

"Mice as in, intruders, I dare say?"

"You know me so well. That's right, four of them- three females and one young boy, which I've confronted with Celsius. We've identified two of them as a jester and a mage named Marxanae and Grill, an ice elementalist named Pandora who is actually a knightess of Dark Matter's forces, and the boy being our test subject dubbed Knaiva, an engineered Demon Beast whom they've freed and bores a hole in his chest," Teyren explained.

"Marxanae? She must be related to one of the convicts, Marx, I believe. Grill, I suppose she's familiar with the Star Warriors. Pandora, strange. Why would she team up with them when she's a knightess for another leader? And Knaiva… wait, isn't that kid a girl? A boy?"

"Er, actually, Knaiva is deemed genderless, although many of the workers dubbed him someone called a "Hideyoshi" to say the least."

"Beta male/female, got it," I said, shaking my right foot. "So, I assume you haven't captured them yet?"

"Well… I… no, your highness. Forgive me."

"Not to worry. They're somewhere in the Abyss, am I right? All you have to do is corner them somewhere and hold them captive or something- your call," I answered. "I don't care how, just bring them here at all costs."

"Yes, your majesty. I shall do so," Teyren replied. He saluted, then took his leave.

"Yes, you do that… I'll just have to keep thinking about these damnable memories," I muttered. "But why was Taranza in them?"

Knaiva's POV: The Nova of Lost Dreams

(Genova Library- Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder)

"So… huge!" I gasped. I was talking about the Nova's inside body, a plethora and a collection of all the books in the world, enough to fit inside here. I glanced around every shelf there was around me in one spot. Sure enough, they had books on literally everything. Maybe there's one on how to regain my memories back.

"This entire library… was inside a Nova? Holy crap," Grill awed. "Just think, we could acquire all the spell books we'd ever want!"

"Ara-ara, I know for a fact my little brother would eat this up if he got in here," Pandora giggled as she holds me gently, her lumps cushioning the back of my head as usual.

"I wonder if there's a book about the lumps on a woman's chest around here somewhere," I thought. "Maybe they exist for comforting people."

"Oh my freaking god! Gals, lookie here!" Marxanae squealed like a fangirl holding a book in her hands. "I can't believe they actually have it! And to think I've actually found the rarest volume of Men & Women: Beneath the Sheets- Fanservice Edition! With the rarest edition being written by the one and only Milla Maxwell from another world!"

"Get out of here! Are you serious?!" Both Pandora and Grill squealed. "I love that series!" The girls huddled so close that their chests started to cave in on me to skim through the book together. They were so into it that they forgot they were killing me here. Those girls drooled with embarrassed but stimulated faces of theirs with some trickling down their bodies and on my head.

"Gross," I shuddered. That's when I noticed something like a piece of paper prying out of between Pandora's lumps. Since Pandora was too hypnotized by the book, she didn't feel me taking the paper from there. I also took the chance to slip out under the group huddle. "What's this? Some sort of drawing?"

It appeared that way when I unfolded it. It showed a little girl with short black hair being embraced by the hugs of two people that appears to be her parents, her mom and dad. I don't know why, but a hole was shot in my chest, and I'm not talking about the literal hole in my chest. Frankly, I meant it emotionally, as Marxanae described it.

The artstyle of the drawing, it seems like a little girl drew this herself, and it looks so… perfect. Certainly, I doubt any of the girls here drew this, but surely anyone would find it strange that Pandora has a drawing like this stuffed between her lumps. Perhaps she found it somewhere? I need answers.

But first, I should let the girls know. "Pandora? Grill? Marxanae?"

Those three broke their concentration on the book and turned their attention over to me. "Oh, sorry Knaiva. You wanted to ask us something?"

"Mm-hmm, Pandora?" I spoke, showing her the drawing. "I found this between your lumps. Sorry for doing that without asking. But why do you have a kid's drawing anyway?"

Pandora gasped, not sure of what to say. "Well, that is… hmm… how should I say this? All right… you know that I'm a knightess for Zero, right? As a knightess, following the orders of my master were absolute without questioning his authority. Our main command was what spiraled this incident in the first place- we were to capture Princess Kailaine and take her back to Crystal Star, which is now under the control of my master while she was away."

Marxanae and Grill stared at her. "We kinda already told him that. Maybe tell him about the drawing's relevance instead?"

"Don't push it. Anyway, in the beginning, Kirby's party was led to believe Kailaine was our only objective, but that wasn't the case. Our true orders was to capture every one of Kailaine's friends, who were actually the Seven Elemental Princess of yore in the Cosmic Galaxy. However, one of those targets was one of Kirby's friends named Adeline."

"Adeline? Why would Dark Matter want her anyway?" Grill questioned.

"To tell you the truth… I haven't the slightest clue to that, and the inconvenience turned out to be that master didn't tell us the reason why when we asked him. Regardless, we captured Adeline without Kirby and the other Star Warriors noticing by having their attention only fixated on Kailaine. It wouldn't be a stretch to suggest that perhaps the reason why master also wanted her was because of her unordinary ability."

"What ability are we talking about here?" Marxanae asked.

"The ability to make objects she draws become reality, which I personally call it "Drawn to Life" at least in my opinion. I did find out one thing about that ability- it's also an artifact of the Ancients as well as an ability known as Neonatricity," Pandora answered.

"So you're saying that the drawing you have belongs to this "Adeline" girl?" I stated. "And it's an artifact of these Ancient people?"

Pandora nodded, having us follow her around the library, suggesting that the information would be way deeper in. She continued on the way to our unknown destination as we go past a maze of shelves, ancient artifact display cases, and walls of murals with strange pictures that just gives me some sort of strange fear about them. Just looking at them made me cover my eyes, and Marxanae and grill carried me until it was over. Sorry, I don't know how to describe the fear. Like it scares me, but it doesn't bother anyone else. I wonder why?

Pandora continues, "Adeline was the only one on Popstar who was a human, perhaps like you, Knaiva, before you became a demon beast. When we captured her, she was put in the same crystal cell as Kailaine was. However, she and Kailaine along with the ship core which was a clockwork star named Niva attempted an escape and successfully did so. I suppose in that scuffle she dropped this specific drawing that I just so happened to find it lying around."

"I see, Pandora."

"Just seeing the drawing really struck me, it makes a string being pulled in my heart. And for some reason, my heart glows with things like this touches me emotionally. But I can't even abide to these feelings at all. You haven't forgotten that I'm still your enemy, right?"

"Glowing heart? How can we see that? Your huge lumps are blocking the way, you know," I said. "How can you be evil if you have a heart?"

Pandora giggles. "You really are a strange kid, aren't you?"

"Yep, and we raised him from the past hour he was born," Marxanae and grill hugs me while saying that. "We're proud to call him our little brother."

"I… I guess so… hmm? Hey, look over there." Something caught my attention and I immediately ran towards the object in need of further inspection. There were a few flights of stairs that I rode on and by the time I made it to the top, I immediately covered my eyes in fear. "Make it go away…" I groaned.

"It's okay, we're here Knaiva," Pandora had me snuggle between her lumps for comfort. Pandora yelped a little when she saw the animosity- a white crystalized tentacle with an eye. Marxanae and Grill also followed suit and hugged each other after seeing the tentacle.

"Eww, a tentacle with an eye? Nope, count me out, I'm not into that stuff," Marxanae covered her chest. "And you ain't touching my beautiful girls either."

"Calm down, Marxa," Grill said to her. "I'm pretty sure it's not that kind of tentacle. But what is it supposed to be anyway? It's so creepy."

"…" The tentacle said nothing but illuminated itself in white light. Soon, it had morphed into a ball of light and it flew further into the special section of the library- which I saw the sign: Edenia's Lost Memories. We followed it inside.

Inside were less scary statues and murals that put me at ease for a bit. A little bit further in, we had arrived to where the light was and it had stopped there before turning back into a tentacle eye. As soon as it glared at me, I used the drawing to mask myself.

Strangely, the eye's eye glow and produced a strange scanning beam that took the picture instead of me, but it also got my body in the scan. Once the light ceased, it started to act strangely.

"Scan Complete. Welcome to Edenia's Lost Memories, travelers. I am the resting soul of this Chronova Sanctuary, a clockwork star known as Naiva. For years I've fallen into this Abyss, serving as a sanctuary to these poor humans here and an information hub to the Tempestoria Kingdom Forces for some time." A voice echoed in the ruins. The voice came directly from the mural before us.

"T-the wall's talking!" Marxanae yelped.

"Nuh-uh, it must be the Nova's soul that's speaking here," I stated.

"That is correct, young child. You've come to discover the secrets pertaining to the situation above and below, correct? Well, I'm a special kind of clockwork star, you see. I have the power to revitalize a person's pass just by looking at the individual and display them around you, even objects as well."

"R-really?" Pandora asked.

"Yes, and for a demonstration, I shall display the memories behind that child's drawing in the young kid's hand here," Naiva offered. "However, the past of the child who drew this was not a pleasant one. Are you sure you wish to revitalize this girl's past?"

I looked at the others. "What do you think, everyone?"

The girls looked at each other before they arrived at a decision. They nodded. "Well, if it's something that can resolve this nation's issue here, then let's take the risk, shall we?"

I answered. "We've decided. We'd like to see the past behind this. If it will help us in any way, shape or form, then we'll take it!"

"Heh, you've made your stand. Then, shall we begin?" Naiva chuckled a bit. The light started to shine even brighter than before, enough to sweep away the reality that we lived before us.

I could tell in Naiva's tone that it was a serious matter at hand. I wonder… what is it about Adeline's past that made even the person who can revitalize someone's past have second thoughts?

That's just what we're going to find out. Whatever it is, we have to see it thought at all costs! You can count on it!

End of Chapter 7 Act 3!

Author's Note Summary:

Um… hey guys. How are you all faring today? I'm doing well and I hope you are as well, you know, with the coronavirus and all. Sorry, I lost someone important to me just today and it wasn't from the virus. It was just so sudden, so that's why I seem so gloomy. I'm trying not to let it get me down too much, but I feel terrible. But don't worry, I'll be fine.

With that, today's chapter definitely was an interesting trip between two worlds. And because I played/watched the Tales of series, you've definitely noticed the references. That's why the chapter is called Tales of Edenia. Which one is your favorite? Let me know. So yeah, after that battle sequence from falling, that's where the mystery begins. And while the four are looking around town, the four kids of Kirby's party set off to find a doctor named Esderane to help the passengers. And with that solved, the other party discovers a secret that has yet to be revealed for next time. So that's that.

Pushing that aside, this time's serious. I am dealing with a crisis right now. If you've read my profile, you'll know that I may lose my current account in less than a month possibly. I guess I am mostly to blame for this, because I ended up making the account with my stupid school email; I should've known better. Well, how the heck should I've known? I made this in my freshman year and they didn't tell us jack!

Besides that, having that kind of email has a lot of stupid downsides. Thanks to that, I can't even change my email to another! And the worst part is that after graduation, our account gets terminated and everything with it goes down as well! I didn't even think about that and now I'm paying the price for it! Yeah, I'm sorry everyone, but I did all that I could and now I'll have to face facts and prepare for the worst.

However, that's not going to stop me! I've created another account just in case, so I can simply transfer my work there. The downside is that I'll have to return the laptop soon, so I may have to get my own laptop to get back in business again. But it does suck that I'll have to start from square one again after the work I've put into this, you know. But you know what? I think that's alright, because you guys have been supporting me ever since I started, and if it wasn't for that one guest review I had when I started writing Kirby, I would've never pushed myself to do better, so thank you, whoever wrote that and if you're still reading this by chance!

I'd like to thank all of the people who've supported me ever since then, especially you, Merendinoemiliano! You guys are awesome! So until then, another hiatus it'll be. I won't discontinue this unless necessary under circumstances, so yeah. I'll also try to post my other additional work as well if possible. By the way, my other account is KirbyPwnz2143- still the same! Just in case.

With that, I've gotta go. For who knows how long? Probably until I get my own laptop which I'll probably get for my graduation. I'm on hiatus, not leaving permanently, so don't worry. I will return someday, so never forget me! Also, you'll probably meet me on Roblox if you have an account there that is. If you don't hear from this account, make sure to go to my other one! As usual, leave one last review for this year and your thoughts; during that time, I'll probably edit chapters on my own time to hone my skills anyway.

And so, I'll be a college student after next month and graduating as well. I bid you farewell for now, fellow fanfic readers! Thanks for reading and supporting my work all these 4 years! I'll be back soon! So…
