"Pretty long day, huh?" said John, looking around.

"Indeed"

"What are you doing next?" asked the former doctor.

Sherlock never seemed so sure of anything.

"I'll go to Molly's. I must apologize"

John was genuinely impacted. Normally it was him and Mrs. Hudson who advised (ordered) him to do so.

"Well, that was unexpected" John admitted.

"Why do you say that?" Sherlock asked, openly puzzled.

John smiled. His friend would never change in some aspects.

"Never mind"

Mary, somewhere in John's mind (or maybe her spirit indeed was there) smiled warmly.
