It's a Date

Lance strolled down the halls of the Castleship when he heard Pidge's voice come from her room in a bitter groan, so he stopped in front of her door and knocked to see what was the matter. When the door opened, Pidge stood before him with bags underneath her eyes and a look of absolute annoyance on her face.

"What is it?" She asked him in a soft voice.

He raised his eyebrow and looked over her appearance. "What the heck happened to you? You look like you pulled three all nighters."

"That's because I did. Sorta..." Pidge responded as she stepped aside so Lance could enter her room to talk.

They sat down on her bed and Pidge let out a deep sigh as she rubbed her eye gently. She couldn't keep herself from looking like a tired puppy and she hated that. Especially since Lance was now sitting in her room with a look of concern on his face. She didn't want to make him worry about her too much.

"So, why're you so tired? Having nightmares?" Lance questioned as he looked around her room at all her experiments and drawings.

Pidge gave a chuckle and shook her head. "Not exactly, I'm trying to figure out a way to modify the holographic system on the ship so I can hook up the game system we bought at that space mall."

"I don't think Coran would like you modifying parts of the ship just so we could play a video game. But I'm so down if you get that hooked up." Lance laughed with her as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and gave a friendly squeeze.

Pidge brought out the game that she kept at her bedside and held it in front of them like a precious trophy. "It's so beautiful. It kinda sucks that we didn't pick up a TV while we were there. Do you think that alien even had one?"

"I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Maybe we can check it out the next time Coran needs to get something for the ship." Lance stated as he stretched his arms above his head and gave a yawn. "Though hopefully that mall cop won't spot us and throw us in space jail."

Pidge laughed at the memory of escaping the space mall on the back of their new cow. "Then It's a date!"

Before she could even realize what she just said, Pidge's cheeks started to blush a rose red as Lance looked at her with growing red cheeks of his own. Did she just say it would be a date? Did those words really just come out of her mouth?

"I-I mean-I didn't mean it like that I-" Pidge stuttered as she turned her head away from Lance, trying to conceal how deeply she was blushing on her face.

Lance looked at her with a smile spreading across his face. "What did you mean then?"

"I-I meant it's a plan!" Pidge replied as she quickly nodded her head. "That's what I meant."

The Blue Paladin looked at her with a smirk and he chuckled as he rubbed the top of her head gently as he got up from the bed. "Obviously you're tired and you need to get some sleep. I'll talk to you later."

"Alright." She replied as she pivoted her body around so she was laying completely on her back on her bed.

Before he exited the room though, Lance glanced back at Pidge and whispered so only she could hear. "Looking forward to our date."

That made Pidge blush up a storm as she raised her head so fast that she felt light headed. Causing her to fall back down onto her pillow as she heard Lance chuckle as he closed the door behind him.
