A/N: Okay, I swear to the Force that I'll cry when writing this!
This is my tribute to Carrie Fisher. You all know she passed away sadly due to a heart attack, which I can relate to since my grandfather had a heart attack and died many years ago, so I know how her family feels right now.
This is for Carrie, her family, her friends, and all of her fans.
General Leia Organa was dying.
She had recently had a heart attack during Han's funeral. She had collapsed while giving her speech. Everyone hoped that she would pull through, but from what the medics said today, it wouldn't be true.
The whole Resistance was there with her. All of her friends were there. There were only a few people missing. Luke, Rey, and Han.
Leia wished that they were there. Han couldn't since he died a few days ago. Luke and Rey were far away from there. They couldn't be there with Leia.
Luckily, this would change.
Luke, from far away, had felt Leia's pain through the Force. This made him very worried. So he, Rey, Chewie, and R2 went on the Falcon and went back.
"I hope she'll be okay," Luke said.
"Me too," Rey replied, putting a hand on Luke's shoulder.
After a few hours, they finally made it to D'Qar. They immediately ran out of the Falcon and went up to the nearest person they saw.
"Where's Leia?!" Luke asked.
The man pointed to the medical ward. Rey and Luke became worried. They ran into the ward with Chewie and R2 trailing behind. They saw Leia lying on a bed in pain. Everyone in the room turned to look at Luke and Rey. Luke slowly walked up to his sister. He knelt down by her bedside.
Leia weakly looked up at her brother. "L-Luke. You're h-home," she said, reaching her hand out at him.
Luke smiled softly and nodded. "It's me dear sister. It's me," he said.
Leia smiled weakly at him. "You came back. You came back," she kept on muttering.
"Shh. Rest Leia. Save your strength," Luke said, calmly.
Everyone was in tears at this reunion. They had all expected a happier reunion, but instead, they got this. This was too heartbreaking.
"Luke. I love you," Leia whispered.
Luke held onto Leia's cold hand. "I love you too Leia," he said. Tears were forming in his eyes.
"At least, I'll be with Han again," Leia said.
Then her hand in Luke's fell limp. Her eyes closed and she stopped breathing. Her whole body went cold.
Leia was dead.
Luke had felt it for sure. Tears came out of his eyes and he started to cry. Everyone in the room was crying. Rey put her arm around Luke's shoulder.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered. The two of them hugged and cried into each other shoulders.
Then Leia's body was carried away. Everyone in the room left, except for Luke and Rey. The two pulled away and looked at each other.
"You should know now that she was your aunt," Luke said.
Rey's eyes widened. Leia was her aunt?! So that means...
"You're my father?" Rey asked.
"Yes," Luke answered.
Leia was her aunt. This was better and worse for Rey. It was better than a friend, but worse since she died.
"I loved her as a friend. Now I love her as an aunt," Rey said, tears coming out of her eyes.
Father and daughter hugged again.
They missed Leia so much.
But now she was one with the Force.
They just hoped that she was happy with Han.
They would join her soon, someday.
A/N: WAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!
I called it that I would cry!
But I don't care! Carrie Fisher was one of my greatest idols. She showed the world that a princess isn't a damsel in distress. They can be great heroes and badasses too! Thank you Carrie, for showing us that.
2016 took so many legends, but this was the worst.
Carrie is one with the Force now.
We, as fans, pray for you.
