Merry Christmas, lovelies! I hope it was wonderful for you all!

Again, I do not own Assassin's Creed characters but I do own Moira and James Frye!

Christmas Eve 1869

The smell of turkey cooking in the oven wafted throughout the house along with the smell of sweets, mince pie and a Christmas pudding. Moira looked over the ornaments on the tree as she stood back to see if they all looked all right. She then rearranged some of the tinsel on the tree then smiled. She then noticed something else that was out of place and began to move it.

"Luv, I think you have moved that angel about five times already," Jacob said walking into the living room with James on his hip, "Your son would like to put the star on the tree now."

Moira turned to look at her husband and son, "It looks like James is more preoccupied with your watch if anything."

Jacob glanced down seeing that James's chubby hands had ahold of his watch and about to put it in his mouth. Jacob quickly retrieved his watch from his son and placed it back in his waistcoat pocket. Moira couldn't help but giggle and turned back to the tree. She readjusted the angel then smiled, "There, perfect."

"Finally," Jacob said with an exaggerated sigh.

"Sounds like you mostly wanted to put the star on top than James," Moira said with a smirk.

Jacob matched her smirk as he grabbed the star that was on the coffee table. Moira then took James from Jacob's arms so Jacob could add the star. Jacob leaned up and placed the star on top of the tree. Moira turned her head to the side and pressed her mouth into a thin line. Jacob looked back at his wife to see the look on her face.

"What?" Jacob asked while cocking his scarred eyebrow.

"It's a little crooked," Moira said.

Jacob looked from her to the star then back at her, "Oh, come off it! It's fine!"

Moira rolled her eyes, "All right, don't blame me when the star falls off the tree."

Jacob gave her a slight glare then moved to push the star a little straighter. He kept messing with it while letting out a couple grunts of frustration. Moira tried her best not to laugh and kissed his cheek, "I'm going to go draw a bath for James since Evie and Henry will be here in an hour. Keep trying on the star."

She giggled when Jacob gave her a light swat on the arse with a hiss of, "Cheeky bird."

Moira walked upstairs and began to get everything together for James's bath. As she was cleaning him, James was trying to splash the water, making the Master Assassin giggle. He fussed a bit when she started cleaning behind his ears. Moira had to ask Evie if Jacob was ever like this when he was a child because it surely didn't come from her.

Once James was all clean and dried, Moira dressed him in a shirt, his overalls with shoes and socks. Moira brushed his hair back and smiled when James gave her a toothy grin.

"You absolutely take after your father," Moira said with a shake of her head, "Have every woman in London swooning over you in no time."

Once she was finished, she picked him up and headed back downstairs. Once she reached the sitting room, she noticed that Jacob was no longer fiddling with the star. She heard clinking in the dining room and headed towards the noise. She aw that Jacob was beginning to set the table for dinner, making Moira smile as she walked towards him.

"Thank you for doing that, luv," Moira said pecking his cheek, "I can take care of the rest if you would look after James."

"Gladly," Jacob said as he picked up James and held him about his head causing the eight month old to squeal in delight, "Little lad looks as handsome as his father."

"Oh and he knows it too," Moira chuckled, "Already has his aunt and his mother swayed."

Jacob brought James back down to his hip and kissed his son's cheek, "Come on, let's get out of mama's way."

Jacob headed towards the living room with James while Moira began to set up the rest of the table with plates, silverware and even candles. When she finished that task, she moved onto bringing food to the table and making everything look presentable. She stood back to look at her work and nodded in approval. She then heard a knock on the door, making the Master Assassin light up. Just in time!

Jacob, with James in his arms, answered the door to see his sister and her husband, "Sister dearest and Greenie!"

"Merry Christmas, dear brother," Evie chirped as she kissed Jacob's cheek, "and there is my darling nephew!"

Evie immediately took James from her brother's arms to place kisses on his chubby cheeks. James was in a fit of giggles from his aunt's tickling kisses. Moira walked in to see smiles on her family's face making her heart warm up. Evie took notice of her sister in-law and smiled more, "Moira, Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, Evie dearest," Moira said placing kisses on Evie's cheek and then gave Henry a big hug, "You both made it just in time. Dinner is ready."

"It smells absolutely divine, Moira," Henry said as he hung his coat on the rack.

"Your dinners usually are," Evie said as she handed James back to Jacob she could remove her coat as well.

"You both are too kind," Moira laughed as she led them towards the dining room.

Evie and Henry marveled at the feast before them. Moira usually outdid herself for the Christmas feast since they rarely had the chance to sit down and have dinner as a family since their lifestyle is so hectic. Luckily, Jacob and the Rooks had taken care of business earlier this morning so that everyone could enjoy Christmas. The Blighter activity was still around but dwindled quickly, resulting in more Rooks or dead bodies. There have been a few Templars trying to gain power back over London but the Assassins were quick to snuff them out.

They all sat down to have their meal and began to talk about various things. Evie was seated next to her nephew and helped him eat while kissing his head. Moira and Jacob glanced at each other a few times when they saw and heard Evie cooing at James. Both of them smirked, knowing that Evie and Henry were wanting children but still debated on it. Moira encouraged Evie since London was safer than it was a year ago. Moira knew that Evie would be a wonderful mother since she was always doting and loving towards James.

After everyone finished up with dinner, Evie helped Moira in the kitchen with cleaning up while Henry, Jacob and James were in the sitting room. Jacob had started a fire in the hearth then poured a couple glasses of brandy for Henry and himself. James was sitting on Henry's lap while playing with a toy soldier.

"So, have you and Evie talked about children?" Jacob asked with a smirk.

Henry nearly choked on his brandy when Jacob asked him that making Jacob laugh a little. Once Henry composed himself, he looked back at his brother in-law to still see his smirk. Henry also couldn't help but feel his cheeks heat up a bit.

"Well, um," Henry replied clearing his throat, "We have been yes, especially with how the Rooks and the four of us have been handling the Templars and Blighters."

Henry looked down at James with a heartfelt smile, "We love James very much and I know Evie will be a wonderful mother."

"You're so sweet, darling," Evie's voice piped up as she walked into the room.

She placed some plates and cups down on the coffee table as she sat next to him and gave him a kiss. Henry gladly accepted his wife's kiss. Moira soon entered the room with the Christmas pudding and mince pie then placed it on the coffee table.

"Sadly, you can't have James. You'll just have to have your own baby," Moira sing-songed as she went back into the kitchen.

Evie then looked at Jacob, "You got her in on this too?"

Jacob only laughed and Moira came back in, "Comes with being married to him."

"And I don't hear any complaints," Jacob said taking a drink of his brandy.

Moira gave him a playful smack on his hand as she set down the coffee next to the dishware. She then sat on the arm rest of chair Jacob was sitting in as he wrapped and arm around her waist.

As they had their coffee and dessert, they all opened gifts from each other. When gifts were finished, James happily played with his new toys on the floor while the Assassins played a game of questions and commands as well as hoop and hide. James watched his parents as well as his aunt and uncle scurrying around the house for hoop and hide.

After Moira and Jacob were finished with their round of hoop and hide, Evie and Henry were about to have their turn then noticed that James had curled up on the floor with a rook that Jacob carved for him. Moira smiled then picked up James who was still asleep as she held him close to her.

"I guess we should take our leave now," Evie whispered.

"Apparently so," Moira replied rubbing James's back.

Moira and Jacob walked Evie and Henry to the door. The Assassins gave kisses and said their good-byes as they parted. Once the door was closed, Moira began head upstairs towards James's room. Moira was surprised that James was still asleep as she dressed him in his night clothes. She carefully placed him in his crib then felt Jacob by her side. He then placed the wooden rook by James only for the infant to clutch it close to him. Moira then covered him with his blanket and placed a kiss on his head. Jacob wrapped an arm around her and kissed her forehead.

"The fire is still going, luv," he replied gently, "Be a shame to let it go to waste by not cuddling on the sofa."

Moira looked up with a smile, "Mmm, it would be a shame indeed. Shall we, Mr. Frye?"

"We shall, Mrs. Frye," Jacob replied as he began to lead her out of their son's room.

Once they reached the sitting room, Jacob laid out on the sofa and pulled Moira to lay on top of him. Moira nestled her head underneath his chin and held him as she let out a sigh of content. Jacob ran his hands up her back and nuzzled his face into her hair.

Moira then looked up at the tree and spoke up, "The star is still crooked."

Moira held back her squeak as she felt Jacob pinch her side, "I'm taking the piss, darling. It looks lovely."

Jacob chuckled and shook his head while kissing her head, "Merry Christmas, darling."

Moira kissed along his jaw, "Merry Christmas, my love."
