Christmas Cheer

Everyone in the firelink shrine noticed that the Ashen One was oddly chipper today. Sure, it had been snowing quite a lot now, but that wasn't too much of a thing to get excited about.

The Ashen One knew exactly what day it was, and he was very excited. He had collected many things in his journey so far, and he had grabbed as much stuff as possible for makeshift wrapping paper, bows, and name tags.

All the people he had rescued gave him odd looks as he bolted from side to side, grabbing unknown objects and bringing them to the last floor where no one had gone. Little did they know it was Christmas, but the Ashen one knew.

The Firekeeper simply giggled at the Ashen One's energy. She dared not ask though. Not yet anyway.

He had done a rusty job, but the gifts were wrapped. He handed them out to everyone he had saved, the most pleased was Andre, because he had gotten him a lot of coals.

The last person was the Firekeeper herself. She seemed surprised at the gift.

"Ashen One? What is this?"

"It's a Christmas Gift!"

The Firekeeper tilted her head. "What is...Christmas?"
The Ashen One almost fell over in shock. "You don't know what Christmas is?!"

She shook her head. "Forgive me, I did not know of it."

The Ashen One put his hands up. "No! No! It's alright. Christmas is a holiday about giving, and it's about Santa Claus."

"Santa Claus?"

The Ashen One sighed. "He's a big man with a red coat and hat, he rides a sleigh with flying reindeer, he travels around the entire world giving presents to children."

The Firekeeper smiled. "It must take a long time for him to do that."
The Ashen One smiled. "He actually does it in one night."
She covered her mouth with her hand. "One night? He must go very fast."

"He uses magic."

"Ah."

She looked back down to the present in her hands. She slowly pulled out.

"Rings?" The rings shined beautifully in her hands.

"I collect a lot of them, and I thought about you."
The Firekeeper smiled. "Thank you, Ashen One. That was very sweet of you."

The Ashen one blushed under his helmet and rubbed the back of his head. "Heh heh, yeah..."

She put them on, and they sparkled. "They look great on you," The knight quickly added.

His response made the Firekeepers cheeks go red a little. "Thank you."
He turned, and waved at her before heading to the bonfire. Maybe some spirits or phantoms would like some of this cheer too.

Thats it! Hope you enjoyed! Comment for more :D
