A/N

This is the alternative ending to my story "God Forbids Him". Read that first and come back here.

"By the end of the week, all women must be circumcised or I'll do this—" General Butt-Fucking Naked had pulled the trigger of his gun, the bullet immediately flying to the person he aimed at. Though, the man stepped away immediately, and the bullet went straight forward to the man behind him.

It went straight for Kevin Price.

Kevin stumbled backwards as blood immediately gushed out of his chest. He fell on his back as he started coughing; his eyes seeing different mixes of blurred colors. The other's reactions were immediate; Arnold Cunningham had called for medical attention and the other elders. Afterwards, both Nabulungi and Arnold both tried their best in applying first aid to the Mormon, trying to keep him alive.

Kevin Price definitely was confused at this moment. As he laid on the dirty grounds in Uganda, he thought, Has God done this for a reason? Kevin had faith with God, he always did. For the past few days, he has been patient with Arnold and the Africans, even if they were very misbehaved. He decided to help these people instead of giving up his dream to go to Orlando.

And God decided him to die.

No, that wasn't true! God loved his people, sinner or not, he loved them! He accepted his fellow people, even if they were Catholic, Christian or Mormon—including himself! He knew God had a reason for his doings, and Kevin couldn't question it. Kevin didn't dare question God's decisions. Even with him dying, Kevin accepted that he sinned, creating this moment.

And Kevin still believed in God, even if this was his last moments.

He accepted his death. Whatever God planned for him, he didn't deny. He will die as a proud Mormon, and will arrive in heaven. He will sit next to his Father, God, and his son, Jesus. He will meet the All-American Prophet and every saint in existence. He will find true happiness in heaven. Maybe heaven was better than Orlando. Maybe it was better than the actual world, or better, it was the whole world but has everlasting peace.

He believed in God's actions.

He will stay faithful until the end.

Line Break.

"B—Bud—" Raspy voices could be heard in Kevin's ears as his eyes slowly woke up, "Buddy! Thank the Lord, you're alive!" When Kevin opened his eyes, he saw the Elders, Arnold and Nabulungi right beside him. Surprisingly, Kevin wasn't dead—he's actually alive. Did the doctor get the bullet out?

"What happened?" Asked Kevin, confused, "Where am I?"

"You got shot by that man, but you were miraculously saved," Elder McKinley replied, "Now you're in their small hospital of the doctor." McKinley added.

Kevin sits upwards, a little pain was felt at his stomach area. He looked at everyone and deadpanned. God saved his soul. God kept him alive! "Elder Price, are you alright?" Elder McKinley asked, and Kevi nodded, looking at his right to see the Book of Mormon. He grabbed the book and smiled. He quietly spoke—

"Thank you, God."

And so, he realized—God loved his followers truly. God will never give up on his people—sinner or not. That's why he was saved; God really gave him this blessing.

And he realized, he was accepted by God.

A/N

What this fanfiction means is that if Kevin believed in God until the end, he would've lived, unlike the other fanfiction where he stopped believing in God.
